Drizzt deserves a movie trilogy so badly. If they made a trilogy just out of the first three books, they could easily make a lord of the rings kind of success with a good director. The Sellsword trilogy features Jarlaxle and Artemis Entreri. Required reading IMO. Read them soon before you move on to the next Drizzt Trilogy. It all matters for the later novels. The whole "Transitions" phase. Then move on to the next Drizzt Trilogy. That way you're all caught up on the main players and happenings.

Wow timeless sounds like a great way to reenter this series after a ten year hiatus. Didn't really like what they did with the huge time jump in the Kings trilogy but a prequel in Menzoberranzan should be great!

It seems like it's pronounced Dri-tzz-t. So it pronounces a T before and after the Z. It's just a bit cumbersome to say in a sentence so sometimes a sound will be dropped slightly as it slurs into the next word.
I always thought it was drizz-it because a family friend who leant me 'Homeland' pronounced it that way. Drizz-it rolls off the tongue more if you ask me, but I still find the actual pronunciation interesting
I love the idea of live action Drizzt movies or a series. But for me I think with the landscapes, spell effects and character size differences alone, a high quality fully cgi format or animation would be best. To do Drizzt and the forgotten realms justice you would need a ludicrous budget. Even with hasbro/wotc having success with D&D 5e it wouldn't be anywhere near enough. They stopped all novels becuase they didn't make their money back. It seems clear with that fact that dumping enormous amounts of money into live action (which has never been a win for any D&D based project to date) is too risky. I think quality cgi or animation with the right art direction and a solid voice cast would be leagues better, cost a fraction of live action and be the best chance at experiencing the Drizzt story past text or audio books.
they could do homeland-sojourn in film...add a bit of spider to some geiger art and boom-city of spiders. it would need a budget, sure, but I think it could be done. problem is hollywood is evil, they ruin everything for the message, and would taint bobs legacy.
