Thanks to Mitch and Dan for their professional overview of the Model 15. Grabbed this for free yesterday, Moog celebrating Bob's birthday. Great simulator, helps learn modular basics.
just purchased this and after watching this 6 year old video I learned that you wrote the patches for the Psycotropic Synthesis bank. They sound really great and worth the $ to learn some secrets!
I have a new Ipad with only a USB-C port. Is there an interface that you recommend to do what you did in this video? I want usb A for my Native Instruments M32 midi keyboard and preferably 1/4” stereo line out. Can I send audio over thunderbolt from Ipad to my Mac Book Pro? I’m trying to get the audio into Ableton. My Mac Book Pro uses a Behringer 404HD interface.
Hi Panhandle, the Korg microKEY AIR uses Bluetooth to connect to iOS devices. Other compatible keyboard controllers use USB to connect to iOS devices via Apple's Camera Connection Kit. If you type "iOS Keyboard" in the Search window on our Sweetwater website it will return an entire page of compatible controllers. Thanks for watching!
I skipped a billion times to just HEAR the app but all I got was blokes chatting all the god damn time. I just wanna hear the synth but now I can't be bothered!
You can connect to your Mac via the lightening to usb cable that comes with your iPad. Go to Audio Midi setup on your Mac and enable the iPad. In your DAW you can send midi and receive audio from the iPad app
ipoponq not in the way that I posted in the video as that is MAC only. On a pc I think you’d need a midi interface to send midi to the interface and then if you still have the Audio output the connect a cable to your computer audio interface. Otherwise get a class compliant audio/midi interface for the iPad and connect to your existing interface if you have one
The Model D is not a modular synth, so it doesn't have a patch bay that the Model 15 does. Model D also has different sounds, settings, and functions. I think the Model 15 is more complex overall than Model D.
Hi Marian 1st. The new Minimoog Model D App is definitely more accessible than the more complex Model 15 App. But I do love them both. (And they both have a bunch of my presets in the factory patches and extra banks :-) Thanks for watching!
You can keep it, at least you could make it work on a 32 bit ipad, do not tell us the bullshit it need more processing power and so on. So only ipad air up will let this work. There are fabulous synth with strong synth engines which are working on 32 bit ipad like the ipad 4. All these planned obsolescence strategies by Apple to buy new devices and throw away your current device which is probably only 2 old. In the long run this will have a serious impact on customers who will no longer buy anything. arturia ispark used the same strategy. So throw away your 2 yrs old device and go to Apple store buy the latest Ipad whatever. The developers of these apps are being blackmailed by Apple, thats the truth.
Manfred klaus dude, I complained about this also, but then I thought about it. Just ten years ago we would've been happy to fork over 500 to 600 hundred bucks for a digital emulation of the model 15. Shoot most VST are at least $150 bucks. This thing is cheap for what you get even if you have to buy a new iPad. An mini will cost 270. This app is 20 bucks. Are you going to tell me that you have never spent 300 bucks on a synth when you know you have other synths sitting around the house???? I use to do that with drum machines in the 90's easily.
This synthesizer works like a real modular, there is always a signal going through every part of it, even when they aren't connected. That means that the iPad's cpu is constantly processing everything possible. So imagine that, plus Polyphony. There are lots of older synthesizers that sound great, but they do not take anywhere close to as much processing power to use this. Not to mention the fact that this uses the metal api which isn't even accessible to 32 bit iPads. It's not planned obscolence. Do you just want every developer ever to cater to your years old device and impede progress?

Me too!
Blessed by the god of Synthesizers!
Thanks, Andrew. If you get a chance, try my Psychotropic Stereo sound bank. -_Daniel_
@@sweetwater I will Daniel..when I get the cash .How much USD?
@@sumchi3690 It should say in the Model 15 Store, inside the app. -_Daniel_

It’s incredible the THINGS we can create at such a low price these days. Incredible.
Daniel my man!!! Till the heat death of the universe. Synth Master.
Matches up real nice with the new Logic Pro for iPad. Put an old Roli blue tooth MPE on your lap and lose track of time.
Minus the cheesy marketing-style talking by Mitch (c'mon, we all know what a salesperson sounds like!), this was a pretty good video.
Yay Daniel,,! I'm surely going to buy this app And you're patches Mr. Patch master! Oh,,, hi Mitch
+Neil Barbu Hi Neil! It is a really cool app. Thanks, Mitch.
Daniel's patches are awesome : )
Brilliant

I need a midi controller with aftertouch ??? To get that effect when playing the keys ? Explain please...
How do you connect your ipad to the midi keyboard? I have a novation impulse 49 and an iPhone 6s that I want to use together.

SweetwaterSound thank you!

It sounds like a digital synth…
What’s the best way to connect this to my DAW on Mac please ... anyone ? 🙏🙏
Same question here!

With this, who would want to fork over $10,000 on the real thing?? This is pretty awesome
for an endless sound...just like why people buy expensive grand piano's....no stepping
Can I sync the arpeggiator with my other sequencers?
Hi Cheepo Decheepo, The Moog Model 15 App has lots of options for MIDI In/Out as well as synchronization. Thanks for watching!
Would like to interface this to a Moog Grandmother. Virtual cables from one to the other...
Valdis Krebs ...it is probably possible. All you need is midi to cv and/or cv to midi modules. App has a complex midi programming possibility.
Does anyone know if this app will work with other non keyboard MIDI USB controllers, like the Akai EWI 5000?
Hi jazzyjake99, Moog's Model 15 app is designed to work with MIDI. Send it MIDI, regardless of the source, and it will play. Thanks for watching!
SweetwaterSound Thanks so much for the reply. I really enjoy your iOS videos, please keep making them.
What if I just have a Mac book
Hi Logan. The Moog Model 15 App is now available for Mac. -_Daniel_
nice
This and a Roli ,,,,,,,wow
Can anybody tell me the difference between Model 15 and Model D,please
The Model D is not a modular synth, so it doesn't have a patch bay that the Model 15 does. Model D also has different sounds, settings, and functions. I think the Model 15 is more complex overall than Model D.

And you can have a Model 15 and a Model D playing at once in a $329 iPad!
Can the app itself record?
Yes, five minutes of record time. : )

Manfred klaus time to upgrade, bite the bullet and get a 2017 IPad Pro
that haircut tho....
