When most of marvel main characters was straight white male mcu didn't get the hate they get now from you mojo or every one else mojo. Was the dark World movie better than she hulk.
Hopefully, once the MCU soft reboots after "Avengers: Secret Wars" (2027) we could get that proper, perfect, and fully unified Marvel Universe with *every* character in it that time around there
In which she got Drax's TATTOOS. Which are of his beloved wife and daughter killed by Thanos and Ronin. Why because.... a) writer doesn't do homework or know anything about drax b) writer is just an idiot and doesn't understand that you can't transfer tattoos with DNA!
Apart from the bad villain and terrible final fight, the entire movie was pretty great to watch. I would argue that Thor The Dark World is worse than IM3 since the whole movie start to end bored me to tears.
What about Inhumans and Iron Fist S1? Before Endgame: Razzies (0%-50%)- Inhumans (11%), Iron Fist S1 (20%) Razzie dodgers (51%-70%)- Incredible Hulk (67%), Thor 2 (67%), Both Punisher seasons (62% & 68%), Iron Fist S2 (55%) Oscar dodgers (71%-90%)- Iron Man 2 (72%), Iron Man 3 (79%), Cap: First Avenger (80%), Cap 2: Winter Soldier (90%), Daredevil S2 (81%), Jessica Jones S2(82%), Jessica Jones S3 (73%), Luke Cage S2 (85%), The Defenders (78%), Thor 1 (77%) No MCU project after Endgame has been a Razzie (0%-40%)
Agreed, that was cheap of them, with Dr Strange coming out and Thor already established plus previous mentions of the 10 rings why was a villain with ten magical rings too far?
For me the moment that killed it was when she hulk said she controls her anger infinitely more than him, because getting cat called or mansplaining is worse than physical abuse or seeing you dad murder your mom. It was something the character would never have said and indicated the writers didn’t know enough about the characters they were writing. What did that leave? Their own politics. The passion for the characters was gone, and I didn’t feel like getting lectured where I had previously found enjoyment.
Nicely stated. And this happens over and over again. Like.... When Doctor Strange forgets that 'protecting reality' is his Sorcerer's mission, and 1st doing no harm - is his Doctor's oath. He then decides to brain wash the whole world, in a dumb!ssed scheme to make people forget Parker is Spiderman. It is a criminal mind r@pe of the whole planet and it's passed off for laughs because the writer's are morally unintelligent and the film is unserious and just cares about somehow making Sony's washed up characters alive again, *no matter what the plot excuse.* Happens also in Antman 3, twice. Once when Janet Van Dyne is retconned so that she spent 30 years hanging out with Kang and never told anyone. Which she lies about [to the audience I mean]. She says: _I told you to stay away from the Quantum Realm._ *No she didn't.* She sent Scott there to get healing particles for Ghost, no mention whatsoever of Kang...because of course that wasn't in the script at the time. The atrocious writing fails hard with plot holes and mistakes, over and over again in phase 4 and 5. Cassie Lang implies stupidly that she 'became a Quantum Physics genius' [eye roll] in order to save Scott. *No she didn't.* She thought Scott was dead, because HIS NAME was on the victim list in Endgame. If she thought he was stuck in the Quantum Realm, then *all she had to do was turn the freaking Quantum Tunnel back on.* And, if she didn't even think to turn it on....how is she 'studying' Quantum physics anyway????? Come on. This is just another writer who doesn't know the MCU, doesn't pay attention, doesn't do their homework and doesn't give a bleep. Why does Marvel treat its own story and characters like trash, and then expect us to applaud?? You don't do your homework - *you get an F.*
I agree. When She-Hulk basically told Banner to his face that she was always gonna be a better hulk because she was a women who felt with sexism all her life. That's not how it works. Plain and simple. Even in comics. She-Hulk would never mock Banner's struggle with a line like that.
Quicksilver, a guy who could rearrange an entire room and everyone in it (and probably go out for a burger afterward to kill a little extra time if he wanted) in the milliseconds it took a bullet to leave a gun - being shot to death.
They never know what to do with ridiculous powers. They have to depower the characters eventually. Flash didn't work. Quicksilver worked for the time-in-a-bottle sequence, but otherwise his powers have to be side stepped. Too many powers make these comic book stories unfilmable.
I'll tell you what REALLY ruined the MCU. The moment it leaned heavier towards' Disney's sensibility than Marvel itself. MCU today don't feel like Marvel. It feels like Disney.
All the damn Disney+ shows that are now required watching to what is going on in the MCU and a good few of them are awful and you can't get all those shows on DVD, plus the older and better MCU shows not out on DVD in shops.
1-The Royal family perpetuates a society where people born with inferior DNA by random chance are forced into slavery 2-Black Bolt is given two-way communicator as writers forget the basic things about main character- If he talks , he emits sonic scream, so He trained himself to not speak and communicate with sign language , How would giving him two-way communicator work ? . *Even Echo writers knew throughout the series that Maya Lopez is deaf and Mute and communicates with Sign Language hence there is not a single scene that showed her with two way communicator unlike Black Bolt in Inhumans* 3-Medusa - absolute jerk to everyone around her except her family, making you feel sorry for everyone she meets on Earth and has no storyline 4- Maximus- seems more heroic and better protagonist than entire Royal family despite *being main antagonist of Inhumans* *The supposed bad guy overthrow a corrupt government to end slavery without spilling any blood. In what universe is Maximus not the hero of the story?* 5-Inhumans final episode You don’t care about anything happening We never see Attilan and its people *In a single episode , They use random plot twists out of nowhere to make Maximus, the only good person in Royal family, more evil than the Royal family who learned nothing from their time on Earth and are still racist idiots they were from Episode 1*
@@fontainefitness5698 They humiliated Peggy Carter worst of all. The writer just set out to take over the MCU, by shatting on everything that was done before.
Unclear as Screen Rant would say. Here is what the MCU website says about this bullshit scene... _Ultimately, Sif was defeated, with her arm being severed, and Falligar was killed. She laid down on the ground preparing to go to Valhalla._ _She was found by Thor and was grateful to be reunited with him. Thinking she would die, Sif accepted her fate and reassured Thor that she would shortly go to Valhalla the Asgardian afterlife._ So was dying right? "Found" by Thor is not - cured of fatal injuries from the God Butcher is it? MCU page continues... _However, Thor reminded her that she could only do that if she died in battle, not moments after it had concluded, and joked that perhaps her severed arm was in Valhalla._ So depending on how you look at this stupid joke. Her arm is dead and in Valhalla but she is not. Her arm is dead and in Valhalla and she is dead but not in Valhalla. Or and this my personal conclusion.... Taiki Waititi is an egomaniac who let success go to his head and spent all his time sniffing coke and banging actresses while not caring about Thor and Asgard being left in ruins as long as his character Korg, was spared and (he thought) could return to tell his one 'i'm a man made of rock' joke 100 more times.
@@summertyme5748 I thought there was a scene at the end of Love & Thunder that showed Sif, with 1 arm, training the Asgardian kids to be the next warriors.
Trying to introduce too many characters with very little backstory of their own; trying to tease the fans with the characters they only know from comics and yet giving them a half-baked movie treatment; and above all, Disney trying to make the fans watch everything before they can enjoy a decent standalone movie - that's MCU's lowest.
@@freemakerthings4518 I mean for "The God Butcher" he really didn't butcher many gods, only one that can be verified with on screen pokey pokey from the necrosword

Destruction of Janet Van Dyne: Spent 30 years with Kang and didn’t mention it. Then she mouths this stupid dialogue: _I told you to stay away from the Quantum Realm!_ No you didn’t. You sent Scott into the Quantum Realm to get healing particles for Ghost! But you - ie - the sh!tty writer…..forgot!
I think I could probably act out Iron Man - it had so many memorable scenes. Watching Ant Man 3, I remember that Cassie was a horrible being, MODOK is a joke, there were lots of forgettable aliens that I would be hard pressed to draw even one of them and no Luis!
A couple low points for me... - Nick Fury losing his eye because a "cat" scratched him. - Falcon's lecture at the end of "Falcon and the Winter Soldier."
Much worse - he stole the Avengers DNA and gave it to aliens - so the stupidiest plot of all time - could happen. His in film excuse was this: _I can't call the Avengers - because it's personal._ But - you STOLE their DNA? Isn't that personal? You are going to give their DNA to aliens. Isn't that personal? You are upset because these same aliens killed Maria Hill. But - you don't think that giving anyone of them the Avengers DNA might not lead to any or ALL of them having it??? I mean Nick Fury has the intellectual capacity of a 4 year old child in this show.
Damn straight it did! He never saw "Spider-Man: No Way Home", that's what make me so sad . . . The only movie before this year that deserves his respect. ❤
Dr Strange in the multiverse of madness ruined the MCU because it ruined Wanda's arc in "WandaVision". She had confronted her sorrow and pain, but DSatMoM just wiped that all away and turned her evil (and, frankly, pretty much beyond redemption) The worst part about this particular ruination is that they could have avoided it easily using a mechanic that the movie, itself, introduces -- Alternates possessing their alternates in other universes. Just have the evil Wanda we initially see be actually possessed by a Wanda from a nother universe as that other universe's Wanda chases star flinger girl. This other Wanda never went through the WandaVision finale (maybe the gov't blew up the town or something) Then they could even have added pathos by having our Wanda, who understands pain but moved beyond it, confront the feelings of the other Wanda, who won't let go. The entire main plot and action could then have been the same without ruining our Wanda (and keeping our Wanda as a viable character that we could care about in the future) It wasn't MODOK, in of of himself that ruined the MCU. I liked MODOK until the bizarre heel/face turn; that was the problem, If they had just kept him evil, it would have been fine.
Yeah except in the end of Wanda Vision you see Wanda get hooked on the DarkHold. Which corrupts you…... Remember Dr Stange killing Thanos and then needing to be killed by Black Bolt because of the DarkHold corruption? Remember Wanda’s finger tips being black because she was corrupted by the Darkhold? MOM was not a great movie but the idea that it fundamentally changed Wanda’s arc is patently incorrect. Wanda literally enslaved and tortured a town full of people then at the end of the show just dips because she hears kids in her head. If she recovered from the sorrow etc a good fulfillment of her arc would have been idk helping the people of that town recover from what she did. Maybe making an apology? Make a shrine to Vision somewhere. End with her making her peace at his “grave.” Instead she found a new fixation. Idk what all of you are on about with this ruined her character thing. I’m sorry that you weren’t paying enough attention or were frustrated at the direction but it is at least outlined in the show and movie.
@@josephmoravec8146, Meh, I'm not convinced. Yeah, she should have done more to make up for what she did to the town, but 1) I was talking about her sorrow arc, not her karma arc 2) WandaVision implies that she did not even know what (or how) she was doing, plus manipulations from Agatha, so I can give her a tiny bit of leeway (not enough for her to have done nothing, but she certainly wasn't the level of villain as she was in DSitMoM.
@@josephmoravec8146 I disagree with all of your excuse making for the wretched Dr. Strange II. Point by point.... "Yeah except in the end of Wanda Vision you see Wanda get hooked on the DarkHold." The writers and directors of the film admit that they *did not watch Wanda Vision.* Elizabeth Olsen publicly stated this. The last scene of Wanda Vision *in no way established* that she had been corrupted. We see her in a cabin at Mount Wundergore... there is a lingering closeup of this mountain. We see her studying the Darkhold and this key *HER CHILDREN CRY OUT FOR HELP.* THE END. ===================================================== IN Doctor Strange II: *She is no longer at Mount Wundergore.* Oops. It is actually stated in the film that she HAS NEVER HEARD OF IT AND KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT IT. She is studying the fugging book, but has NEVER HEARD of the place where the spells were originally transcribed??? This is a plot hole that resulted from Sam Raimi and Michael Waldron not watching Wanda Vision and not particularly caring. But the worst part is this: No longer are her children crying out for help. Now her children are happy.....but she just wants to steal them and kill her alternative self. *Her need to help her children was the ONE SANE MOTIVATION that she might have had.* But that was also ruined by lazy and sloppy writer and director who just didn't give a fug. Don't try to make excuses for bad filmmaking.
@@josephmoravec8146 _Which corrupts you…..._ *Only when it's funny.* - Roger Rabbit. Thus Dr. Strange uses it just fine and just gets a power upgrade. Then the film catches itself and remembers - it can't be that easy. So he gets the evil eye (3rd eye), uh oh! But the film then undercuts this by having Furiosa turn up - by *opening a portal between between Universes* just like Chavez. Also undercutting her unique powers, and contradicting the original Dr. Strange were Dormammu can't just Universe hop at will. OMG this stupid film, is like a bad liar that can't keep it's story straight. Stop trying to make excuses for bad filmmaking.
The minute the MCU bought into the idea that Captain Marvel was going to become the face of the franchise, and presented her as an all-powerful messianic character, was where the train came off the rails.
Exactly this.. Captain marvel had NO weaknesses… Iron man cap and Thor had to jump Thanos and he handled them practically with ease while Captain marvel can end most fights by herself!
They are trying to retcon it now, because they know they f'ed up. Why is he still paralyzed again in the scene, ie prior to Infinity War which shows he has advanced prosthetics?
The infuriating thing is that this plot hole happens because the writers are dumb, and the audience accepts it by being even dumber. Rhodie was *on the garden planet* after Thanos was killed. It's an uninhabited paradise in an uncrowded Universe whose population was cut in half. So the Skrulls *have a world* of their own. Nick Fury meanwhile is *dead* at his time so he has nothing to do with it, and can't help. Heck he as no knowledge of space or space travel - UNLIKE THE SKRULLS, so the very idea of them being helpless refugees counting on a 70 year old dead earth man who has never been to space is also foolish. The entire plot of this show, makes no sense. No excuse for such lazy slop. This is when Marvel truly stopped trying and jumped the shark. (and they destroyed Cheadle's armor war series too, as it's unwatchable, now that Rhodie has been probed by aliens and so effectively r@ped and castrated)
The biggest moment which ruined MCU is “The Blip”. Sure it was great moment in context of its own movie. But made the future of MCU impossible. It ruined future storytelling. Until the Blip, MCU was our world, but with superheroes. Like a child’s fantasy. But after that, it’s a world I can’t recognize anymore. And it also spoiled the storyline, as every single show had to address it. The Blip was the real jump the shark moment.
Worse, Thanos talked about killing at random, but the Snap and the Blip weren't random at all. All the Avengers who Blipped were the newer ones with sequels in the works and the ones who didn't were the ones whose actors' contracts were expiring. A lot of characters getting Blipped were plot armor, like all of Peter's classmates, Hawkeye's family, the Pyms.
@@maxxymrice6200 It was random. The idea that it isn't random because of 'newer avengers' is a fallacy on your part. There is no such thing as newer avengers - that can effect the randomizing function in which every individual has a 50/50 chance nothing more. Secondly - it's not true - since Maria Hill and Nick Fury were both snapped. Maria Hill is an Agent of Shield just like Clint Bartn, so.... (Fury is one of the 7 heroes on the poster for the original Avengers film, btw).
There are 7 original Avengers per - the cover art for Avengers film (since there is no official membership). They are Fury, Barton, Romanov, Rogers, Thor, Banner and Stark. 1 out of 7 were snapped. The odds of that happening are 13%. (12.5 to be precise) Also the odds that 2,3,4,5,6 or 7 of them are snapped is 12.5% Also the odds that NONE OF THEM are snapped is exactly 12.5% And this is what you don’t understand. Because the odds are 50 50 for any individual any specific result is equally possible. And you are always able to manufacture what you consider to be an unlikely coincidence by virtue of how you arbitrarily categorize individuals. (All are snapped except Natasha, so only men are snapped, only Natasha is snapped so only women, everyone except Fury, Nat and Barton, then only super powered OG Avengers are snapped, only Thor is snapped, so the one Asgardian non human, Thor and Hulk, so the two strongest…. Conspiracy theorists are great and finding impossible coincidences *no matter what the outcome.* )
As a huge Agents of Shield fan, I’m honestly glad they just didn’t address the Blip at all between Seasons 5 and 6. When the Blip happened, they kinda just branched off from the continuity, which is odd, but at least we didn’t have to deal with losing half of the AoS cast.
I remember watching that episode with Megan and thinking, "why is she here?" She was a guest spot that overstayed her welcome and served no purpose. Was twerking while on the job suppose to be funny?
There are two musicians that I know of currently in the MCU: 'T.I.' as "Dave", Ant-Man's co-worker at 'Ex-Con' and Tessa Thompson as "Valkyrie", Thor's badass Asgardian warrior-now-Queen. Somehow, the developers of this show drop-kicked their brains and thought 'Megan TheeStallion' would be a good fit, seeing as how she has such a massive ego! 😂
I know I remember watching the end with her and I was like was this scene really necessary? I think her showing up in court to prove that there is only one Megan Thee Stallion was enough screen time. Even that might not have been necessary.
Never watched the series and after all the backlash it got, I never will. When I saw that clip though I was disgusted. I thought it's only a matter of time before Cardi B or Nicki Minaj shows up in the MCU.
There are two musicians that I know of currently in the MCU: 'T.I.' as "Dave", Ant-Man's co-worker at 'Ex-Con' and Tessa Thompson as "Valkyrie", Thor's badass Asgardian warrior-now-Queen. ^ I missed the part where someone said that musicians can't be actors. But you made me remember the definition of straw man argument, which is what you just did.
The MCU needs to start making fewer movies and have less projects in development and treat their VFX artists better if they want to make great movies again because they have been losing their cool after Endgame.
@@mikelytou I tried to address that in the first sentence when they should have fewer projects. The less projects they have, the more they can concentrate on improving their current scripts.
The hardest thing about the MCU, you have to watch everything to fully understand what's going on. Even the movies not worth watching. Now they won't stop making movies or tv shows.
@@maxxymrice6200 I think we’re at a point where that even if we saw the bad ones, that it’s impossible to understand what’s going on anyway. It has to stop somewhere, for better or for worse, otherwise the MCU will implode.
I want to thank WatchMojo for this video. Fanboys will as usual rally round the MCU but somehow the powers that be need to read many of these posts. They have really let us down tremendously and they need to stop gathering round the elephant circle and sniffing their own farts.
Yes the phases stink. This is Feige's baby and this is what he needs to know, but doesn't want to know: Phases are project planning, not story telling. Stories exist in episodes or chapters and are broken up logically in order to maintain narrative flow, suspense and continuity. Phases disregard all of that in an attempt to maintain quarterly profit flow...for corporations. That's why the phases have finally phased out. (only so called phase 3 ever really worked and that's because it was coincidently telling the story of the Infinity Gauntlet and the complete story of the OG Avengers) Now the phases are just scrambling for direction and profit and it shows.
The ice cream song was literally 10 seconds long. Yeah it was cringey, but it's part of the campy Raimi charm. It isn't much of a "low point." 3:19 Also, Wanda probably wanted to be in a universe without Vision because she didn't want anyone close to her to suspect that she wasn't from that universe originally. He probably would have caught on to it. Makes perfect sense
_yeah it was cringey, but it's part of the campy Raimi charm._ It's a self w@nk, like having Bruce Cambell slapping himself. No one wants to see him remind us that he used to be cool. Raimi needs to retire if he has nothing new to say.
She Hulk twerking wasn't really a problem for me it just felt "forced" like Megan was only there because somebody said "we need a current events icon" and they ran with it. I could TOTALLY see Jennifer twerking no doubt but WITH a current singer just to add more laughs is ehhh?
@@juzoli, he never said such thing. Only he was attacked for not liking something. He's allowed to have an opinion. Were you brought up in a dictatorship?
He doesn't have a stretched normal looking face in the comics, so I don't know why they tried to make him that way in the movie. He's a crazy little demented bastard and he mostly just looks goofy and affable in the movie. If they couldn't get his looks right and they really wanted to use him, they probably should have taken the creative license to just leave the mask on him. It wouldn't have been a perfect solution, but it would have been better than the abomination we were given.
He did the ole, F around and find out...and got trapped in his own mirror dimension. Yeah Strange could have bested him promptly in astral form. They haven't used that technique since the first Doctor Strange film except to incapacitate people (a morally nebulous act that was never done in the comics). See what happens when you turn a mystical skill into some plot crutch? Nobody uses brass knuckles to make portals except in the movies. I get that the main hero needs to win a battle but come ON
1) It wasn't fun, for someone whose brain was not turned off. 2) Dr. Strange isn't being asked to be perfect. He's being asked to not be stupid. Which he isn't. The problem with No Way Home which fans of Parker will never admit because they take *copium 25 billion* - is that is has an idiot plot. An idiot plot was coined by the great film critic Pauline Kael. It means the film can only happen because the characters absolutely refuse to do anything that would solve the problem. She trashed films with idiot plots with scathing reviews. Idiot plots are only fun...to idiots.
She Hulk in concept sounded fun. A superhero lawyer defending/prosecuting other super-powered clients in the MCU. But I was dissapointed the writers weren't up to par😊

I've said this too. I will defend the MCU by saying it didn't have to end this way. There is actually some substance in much of the MCU from Iron Man to Civil War, and there is great depth of character and theme in Endgame and Infinity War. But Disney's greed had them reduce Marvel to exactly what Scorsese said: Empty amusement park rides where nothing matters, nothing is at stake. It's easy to pick on weak target offenders - She Hulk, etc. but Deadpool/Wolverine and No Way Home despite their popularity - are *just as bad.*
You know even before it came out Feige made it clear they really only cared at the time just about the movies and the show were fun little add ons that wouldn't really alter the main trajectory or narrative of the main MCU. Because they weren't produced by the same people working on the MCU unlike the Disney Plus shows which count as they have the more actual oversight. Plus I'm sure if there was a much more faithful audience for Agents of SHIELD it would be counted as canon as yeah the Netflix shows wound up eventually being a part of the canon and even Captain Carter got some acknolwedgement. Agents of SHIELD though had a very lackluster first few seasons that even by the time people said it got "good" it had a fairly limited audience plus the main MCU was spinning such big plots they wouldn't really intersect with what Agents of SHIELD was doing.
That happened in 1st in Doctor Strange so that is wrong. It next occurred in Spiderman and Loki. People who complain about Multiverse or Time travel are making scapegoat out of general concepts when bad writing is the key. The Multiverse after all includes Everything Every All at Once and Spiderverse *both of which are Academy Award Winning masterpieces.* BLAME BAD WRITING.
#10. This subplot wasn’t so bad. #9. One day, I’ll watch _The Marvels,_ if only to see if it’s as bad as the reviews say. #8. Cutting that scene would greatly improve the film, which was one of the better Multiverse Saga movies. #7. Damn, Evan. What happened? #6. I highly agree with this one being a train wreck. #5. That one left me with a few questions. #4. Am I the only one who still likes the fake Mandarin twist? #3. I skip this part. #2. Get his name right, Thor! #1. M.O.D.O.K. can do so much better than that.
Honestly, _The Marvels_ wasn't as bad as certain people would have you believe. And having Sir Ben Kingsley "play" the Mandarin was a twist that, indeed, I did not see coming.
I liked all of Iron Man 3, so yeah I think the fake Mandarin was fine and actually smart of the villain to do. I think people who read the comics just got really annoyed even though the door to the real Mandarin was still open.
There were a couple of moments that I believe that did not help the MCU out. One was the hypocrisy in the Sokovia Accords in "Captain America: Civil War." The Sokovia Accords were introduced because the Avengers kept allegedly leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. But in the first Avengers movie, the World Security Council actually tried to nuke New York City, and that would've caused a whole lot more damage than what the Avengers were doing. What the World Security Council tried to do was completely worse than what the Avengers allegedly did, and it doesn't even help that the hypocrisy of the accords was never pointed out. It was pointed out in the TH-cam video for "How Captain America: Civil War should have ended." Another moment that I felt damaged the MCU was this big piece of inconsistency the filmmakers decided to do. After Chadwick Boseman died, they chose NOT to recast the role of T'Challa, instead they rewrote the script for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," have T'Challa die, and have Shuri become the new Black Panther. The MCU might've been claiming that they did this out of respect for Chadwick Boseman, but they did something that made this COMPLETELY disrespectful. After William Hurt died, they ended up recasting the role for Thunderbolt Ross, giving it to Harrison Ford. That is COMPLETELY disrespectful. Thunderbolt Ross might not have been as big a character in the MCU as T'Challa was, but that does not make the situation any more okay. Thunderbolt Ross actually DID play a rather big role in the MCU, though. I should point out he appeared in more movies in the MCU than T'Challa did, he also drove part of the plot for "The Incredible Hulk" since he was the one who had the program that turned Bruce Banner into the Hulk happen. Another way he drove the plot for that movie was that it showed he wanted to create an army of hulks, which caused Bruce Banner to go into hiding since Bruce knew it was too dangerous, and it helped cause Emil Blonsky to become Abomination. Ross also drove part of the plot for plenty of movies in the MCU starting with "Captain America: Civil War" since he was the person who introduced the Sokovia Accords. Also, when F.R.I.D.A.Y. revealed information to Tony Stark that showed the Winter Soldier was innocent and did NOT bomb a building, Tony sent the information to Ross, who refused to accept it. This was something that caused Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, and Captain America to become most wanted fugitives. I know Vision went with them, but it might not have made him a fugitive, but I might be wrong about that. Ross's refusal to accept what Tony sent him and the use of the accords to cause Hawkeye and Ant-Man to go on house arrest, the latter's case helping drive part of the plot for "Ant-Man and the Wasp." What Ross's choice did to Ant-Man helped turn the tide in "Avengers: Endgame." There are other ways to show what Ross did to help drive the plot of the MCU, but I think there are too many more to list. I feel like the MCU is being disrespectful toward William Hurt since they decided to recast the role of his character after he died, and apparently treating William Hurt like he was not very relevant. It hurts not getting acknowledged for your work, and believe me when I say that I speak from experience when I say that. And remember, just because somebody's dead does NOT mean that you cannot do anything that will bug them or hurt their feelings or something like that.
_But in the first Avengers movie, the World Security Council actually tried to nuke New York City_ Ok but you seem to think hypocrisy of world government is a plot hole??? Uh no, it's a plot point. Dude you do realize that this government in Avengers turns out to be HYDRA, do you not?
You know, I actually have talked to people that agreed with the Accords? My first response was always that the guy who proposed the Accords, Thunderbolt Ross, was the man responsible for at least 2/3 of all Hulk incidents, and the Accords were nothing more than an obvious ploy to get the super soldiers Ross always wanted, so that he could commit all the war crimes he could dream of.
The fact that a government has different rules for what they can do and what citizens and even superheroes can do is right on target...are you even paying attention to what's going on in the world?
Agreed 💯 And it's a shame too 'cause as a small child M.O.D.O.K. is one of my favorite villains in the Marvel Universe and I really wanted to root and stay optimistic about the visual effects on him there until those critiques and feedbacks finally made their way on to me here. Hopefully, an MCU soft reboot after the events of the upcoming 2027 film "Avengers: Secret Wars" and gives us a more unified Marvel Universe with*every* character home in it will perhaps fix that and maybe even heavily inspire him after the animated adaptation of him from "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" maybe

Yep that sucked and pretty much the whole MCU interpretation on Spidey and I've read old Ultimate Spider-Man comics that were way better than those movies.

The Loki series ruined the MCU for me permanently. Loki being wildly out of character, all the other characters bullying him, him being sidelined in the series named for him in favor of some blonde chick and the TVA, the self/twincest, and that ending....the entire series establishes Loki's worst fear is ending up alone, and what happens? He ends up alone for eternity guarding the timeline. I wish Marvel had just let him stay dead.
I also have come to dislike Loki because they *DISNEY PRINCESSED* him. He is the Nordic Satanic God of Evil, and after Loki Season 2 he is playing Dr. Who savior of the multiverse. He also wants to help his “friends” 😂 which includes Mobius and Short Round from Raiders. He has forgotten all about Asgard!!!! He is simply another character, not an evolved one. Loki IS dead because this isn’t Loki. Arrrgh. Disney Plus!!!!!!!
Pre-Endgame, there were probably a few bad moments or a couple movies that didn't hit as well as others. Almost every movie after endgame has been a letdown or embarrassing. There aren't even just bad moments, there's just bad movies. For Modak, the face is ridiculous, but the dialogue was way worse. It was cringe to another level.

I agree with you. It was satire and sophisticated poke at how stereotypes are used to create villains. But ironically the kid-level audience actually wanted a fu-manchu asian stereotype mumbling mutton mouth English.
Endgame has/was been the finale of the MCU for me and many fans for YEARS now. I've watched Endgame countless time since it's original release back in 2019 and watched some things post Endgame like Hawkeye, Falcon and the Winter Solider, Multiverse of Madness, Love and Thunder, Mrs Marvel, Moon Knight, Love and Thunder and not to mention the best thing since Endgame, No Way Home. Love and Thunder killed it for me. The way Endgame wrapped up at that point, 11 years, 22 movies was perfect. I understand they have had projects in the works for years and did need to tie up some loose ends from Endgame, but the fatigue is real.
Its funny. I am a HUGE comic book guy, and I have loved all of the comic book movies over time. My first favorite was Superman 2. I remember how I excited I was when the first X-Men movie came out and it was a "surprise" box office success. It was a surprise because the X-Men weren't considered that well known outside of comic book circles, and the studios didn't know how many fans there were out there, but it paved the way for future modern comic book movies on properties outside of the absolute, most well known properties, like Batman and Superman, and then the Spiderman movie was so successful that the industry never looked back. I went to every movie after that, and I was amazed how well they all did, and I was excited by all the future ones that they had planned, but I started getting worried that Superhero fatigue would eventually set in. They were simply making too many of them, and they weren't different enough from each other, so I started skipping them, figuring I'd see them later when I was more interested. The last good live action that I saw was Shang Chi. That was a truly awesome movie. The last MCU TV show that I watched was Wandavision. I tried my best, but I thought there was something very unlikeable about it. On paper, it would seem like I would be the perfect audience for it, because I love artistic things and I admired the new direction that it was taking, but I thought it just required TOO MUCH heavy lifting and the payoff was negligible. It went from being artistic to being artistic for artistic sake which comes off as self-indulgent and condescending. My point is... I didn't see ANY of the moments on this list before outside of the Ben Kingsley/Mandarin moment in Iron Man 3 (which I hated at the time), so I really appreciated this list, because it completely validated the fact that I decided to sit all of these MCU projects out. Here's a simple suggestion to the creative team at Disney/Marvel for future MCU projects. 1. Keep it simple, and have different visual/tonal styles to the movies to help them stand out. (I'm still waiting for a MCU to try looking more like an actual comic book, like the Scott Pilgrim movie did, give me a Batman '66 style MCU film!) 2. ALWAYS have a engaging, powerful and dangerous villain. The best action movies of all types have a villain that the audience both fears, and wants the hero to beat. You don't have to muddy them up by making them tragic, sometimes good characters that for some reason proliferated the Spiderman movies. Make the bulk of them Darth Vaders, Jokers, Thanoses and General Zods and we'll be fine. The enjoyment that I get from these movies tends to be directly correlated to how I feel about the villain. If I truly think the heroes will have to really push themselves to win and I'm afraid for their safety, the happy ending that usually ensues will be that much more rewarding. I still look forward to future MCU projects. I hope that they can take a deep breath, and assess how they've lost their way, and put in the effort to make some great new movies and TV shows. Until then, I'm still waiting for the last Spiderverse animated film. That series is a perfect example of how to make truly groundbreaking films using characters that we are familiar with.
Oh My Heavens yes. Endlessly dumb - this scene is. - Yoda She gets Drax *tattoos* - which are in memory of his family murdered by Ronin and Thanos. How are tattoos - DNA ???? They are not - the writer is once again lazy and stupid, and doesn't know anything about the material. sigh. Feige really p!ssed away all the hard earned good work and good will of so many artists chasing Disney + dollars. BTW: Armor Wars has now been canceled because of the way Disney + trashed Rhodes.
Moving forward I will monitor my patience because watching the entire season of The Inhumans was truly a form of torture. However, Medusa's hair was turned into a buzzcut...and she never got real payback. Her hair is strong enough to throw tanks. I mean come ON.
This may be a controversial statement but there was no reason for anyone to think Fietro/Ralph was Pietro from the X-Men universe. I mean obviously the actor is/was but while it’s not super common cameos like that do happen in media where nods are given to other franchises as fan service. Just a case of fans reading way too much to it like how lot of people expected Maphisto to show up in WandaVision and some were seemingly downright mad he didn’t when there was no reason given to expect him to.
The Captain Marvel "she got help" moment in infinity war after she just took down Thanos his ship all by her self. That shit made 0 sense and was so forced. That was the beginning of the end for the MCU.
It's not in Infinity War it's Endgame. And the scene does make sense. She has to get the Gauntlet to the Quantum Tunnel, and use the Pym particles Steve gathered from the 1970's timeline to shrink into the Quantum Realm before Thanos can destroy the Quantum Tunnel. So she needed a team to run interference for her. And of course Thanos did destroy the Quantum Tunnel, and then he defeated Captain Marvel - so she did need help.

Where to begin: Awkwafina, Scott Lang's teen daughter, Gender-swapped Taskmaster, Harry Styles, The Eternals, Flag-smasher, The new up-coming Captain America movie, Tatiana Maslany in general, The female avengers unite scene in Endgame, etc.
That last one, absolutely yes. And the fact that all heroes in the final fight (male & female alike) at some point took off their masks/helmets to reveal their faces, which is just completely absurd because it makes no sense whatsoever in terms of the plot. It's cinematic BS to remind the audience that all of these actors were involved in this film.
@@mikelytou _at some point took off their masks/helmets to reveal their faces_ Total disagreement on this one. One of the main reasons Marvel succeeded where every other attempt to make a movie universe out of comic books failed, is because Marvel allowed actors to act. So when Tony said: _I am Iron Man_ and ended the charade of "must hide secret identity" - this is what built the MCU. Actors can now act. Audiences can see their faces. Comic books don't have actors and don't need this. What comic fans like yourself have never understood is that films *must be different from comics* because the medium is different. There is no reason in the MCU really for any hero to have a mask. They need helmets while fighting - *yes* but they don't need to play "batman" and hide their secret identities. lol. The masks are what is ABSURD. The idea that you can't tell who batman is because of that silly mask covering his eyes is one of the *most ridiculous* canards in all of comic-books. And yes heroes would take off their helmets at some point in order to identify one another. Imagine the reunion of Tony and Peter, or Gamora and Quill...but Quill keeps his mask on. lol. Somebody in Black Panther suit...is that king T'Challa? Maybe it's MODOK, just don't take the mask off. lol. *That's absurd.* I mean you couldn't be more wrong about this. You want mask as a non sequitur expectation from comic books - that make no sense whatsoever in the MCU.
The moment the screaming goats happened in Thor Love and Thunder was the single moment I stopped watching all MCU projects. She-hulk was the project that reiterated that statement.
She Hulk and Ant Man 3 ruined the MCU for me. Really? Having Megan Thee Stallion and bringing back Darren Cross but as a giant egg headed villain. Those writers must have been taking something, which resulted into these crazy shenanigans.
Not rebooting the MCU after Endgame. If they actually rebooted the MCU at that moment, Then maybe Phase 4 wouldn't have been that bad in the first place.
The absolute number 1 moment that showed the MCU's decline was the announcement of the fantastic four being added. Also, RDJ is a phenomenal actor but i dont think that even he can actually make doom interesting.
And that's how i know you're just an mcu viewer, not a comic book reader. Doom is one of the best marvel villains, if you know the comics. But in films, he wasn't good, starting with the casting, including rdj. He's not right for this part.
@mikelytou Nope I've read comics most of my life and everytime I pick up FF comics every few years it's still the same tired and uninteresting stories.
I mean, let’s be honest here: the fact that the Megan Thee Stallion scene in She-Hulk is on this list and not the Finale of She-Hulk is kind of damning evidence that there’s a double standard. I mean, was it the best scene ever? No. But it was also just a silly post-credit scene at the end of the episode. But the finale? Oh, my god, the finale?!? The final episode that involves She-Hulk skipping the final battle, ditching the entire Sinister Plot, and going on some wild-meta-goose-chase just for some stupid joke that Kevin Feige is Marvel-Movie-Making Robot? How is that not the focus of She-Hulk’s entry on this list??? The entirety of She-Hulk was tongue-in-cheek, sure, the Megan Thee Stallion scene was a a bit out there, but it fit the tone, and while She-Hulk wants to be taken seriously as a lawyer, part of the message of the show is also Jennifer Walters learning to love herself even as She-Hulk, and eventually embracing her powers, cutting loose, and living *her* life.

It is a criminal mind r@pe of the whole planet and it's passed off for laughs because the writer's are morally unintelligent and the film is unserious and just cares about somehow making Sony's washed up characters alive again, *no matter what the plot excuse.*
Happens also in Antman 3, twice.

Almost every character in “Thor” is dead now (Sif, Odin, Warriors 3, Jane Foster) but somehow Korg (Taika’s character😅 lives!) is a low point.
At least retire him...
When did Sif die? I remember her being upset that she didn’t die when Thor found her in the 4th movie.
Unclear as Screen Rant would say. Here is what the MCU website says about this bullshit scene...
_Ultimately, Sif was defeated, with her arm being severed, and Falligar was killed. She laid down on the ground preparing to go to Valhalla._
_She was found by Thor and was grateful to be reunited with him. Thinking she would die, Sif accepted her fate and reassured Thor that she would shortly go to Valhalla the Asgardian afterlife._
So was dying right? "Found" by Thor is not - cured of fatal injuries from the God Butcher is it?
MCU page continues...
_However, Thor reminded her that she could only do that if she died in battle, not moments after it had concluded, and joked that perhaps her severed arm was in Valhalla._
So depending on how you look at this stupid joke.

I think I could probably act out Iron Man - it had so many memorable scenes. Watching Ant Man 3, I remember that Cassie was a horrible being, MODOK is a joke, there were lots of forgettable aliens that I would be hard pressed to draw even one of them and no Luis!
I liked the first two, but never got around to seeing the third one. Sounds like I missed a horrible movie.
His in film excuse was this: _I can't call the Avengers - because it's personal._
But - you STOLE their DNA? Isn't that personal?
You are going to give their DNA to aliens. Isn't that personal?
You are upset because these same aliens killed Maria Hill.
But - you don't think that giving anyone of them the Avengers DNA might not lead to any or ALL of them having it???
I mean Nick Fury has the intellectual capacity of a 4 year old child in this show.
Once Stan Lee died, the MCU went to shit.
Bingo
I'd say just over a year before he died. When he got too sick to fight back.
Damn straight it did!
He never saw "Spider-Man: No Way Home", that's what make me so sad . . .
The only movie before this year that deserves his respect. ❤
Similar to George Lucas and Star Wars….
Stan Lee has no control over MCU. Stop bringing him into everywhere.
Dr Strange in the multiverse of madness ruined the MCU because it ruined Wanda's arc in "WandaVision".
She had confronted her sorrow and pain, but DSatMoM just wiped that all away and turned her evil (and, frankly, pretty much beyond redemption)
The worst part about this particular ruination is that they could have avoided it easily using a mechanic that the movie, itself, introduces -- Alternates possessing their alternates in other universes.
The entire main plot and action could then have been the same without ruining our Wanda (and keeping our Wanda as a viable character that we could care about in the future)
It wasn't MODOK, in of of himself that ruined the MCU.
Yeah, she should have done more to make up for what she did to the town, but
1) I was talking about her sorrow arc, not her karma arc
2) WandaVision implies that she did not even know what (or how) she was doing, plus manipulations from Agatha, so I can give her a tiny bit of leeway (not enough for her to have done nothing, but she certainly wasn't the level of villain as she was in DSitMoM.
@@josephmoravec8146 I disagree with all of your excuse making for the wretched Dr. Strange II. Point by point....
"Yeah except in the end of Wanda Vision you see Wanda get hooked on the DarkHold."
The writers and directors of the film admit that they *did not watch Wanda Vision.* Elizabeth Olsen publicly stated this.
=====================================================
IN Doctor Strange II: *She is no longer at Mount Wundergore.* Oops.
*Her need to help her children was the ONE SANE MOTIVATION that she might have had.*
But that was also ruined by lazy and sloppy writer and director who just didn't give a fug.

_Which corrupts you…..._
*Only when it's funny.* - Roger Rabbit.
She is definitely the Poochie of the MCU.

Rhodie was a Skrull all along…was a low point.
They are trying to retcon it now, because they know they f'ed up. Why is he still paralyzed again in the scene, ie prior to Infinity War which shows he has advanced prosthetics?
Skrull Rhodey going through Endgame with the Avengers just breaks all logic.
(12.5 to be precise)
Also the odds that 2,3,4,5,6 or 7 of them are snapped is 12.5%
Also the odds that NONE OF THEM are snapped is exactly 12.5%
And this is what you don’t understand.
@@summertyme5748 12.5% is quite high, it means it can realistically happen.

They have really let us down tremendously and they need to stop gathering round the elephant circle and sniffing their own farts.
When they decided to continue with Phase 5 and 6 after 4 is what completely ruined the MCU for me.
(only so called phase 3 ever really worked and that's because it was coincidently telling the story of the Infinity Gauntlet and the complete story of the OG Avengers)
Now the phases are just scrambling for direction and profit and it shows.

This WatchMojo Top 10 list ends up proving that Martin Scorsese was actually quite right about the MCU all along...
The exact moment that ruined the MCU is when they decided to ignore Agents of SHIELD.

It was pointed out in the TH-cam video for "How Captain America: Civil War should have ended."
Another moment that I felt damaged the MCU was this big piece of inconsistency the filmmakers decided to do.
_But in the first Avengers movie, the World Security Council actually tried to nuke New York City_

@@summertyme5748 That was actually S.H.I.E.L.D. that was revealed to be HYDRA.

Hopefully, an MCU soft reboot after the events of the upcoming 2027 film "Avengers: Secret Wars" and gives us a more unified Marvel Universe with*every* character home in it will perhaps fix that and maybe even heavily inspire him after the animated adaptation of him from "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" maybe

@@summertyme5748 Short Round was from Temple of Doom. Sorry for being pedantic.
How much cocaine do you have to snort to think MODOK - yeah, that's going to look great on the big screen? lol.

MCU She Hulk would have had a lot of potential if this series had writers that actually care for the character.
You mean if the writers catered to pathetic incel man babies instead of mocked them every episode?

They wasted an epic actor and villain with Ben Kingsley/Mandarin.
Not disagreeing with Ralph Boner being on this list, but it wasn't Wanda who cast him as Pietro. It was Agatha trying to trick Wanda
It was clever and I liked it. But it's tough to do clever with fans of comic books who hated Hugh Jackman because he didn't wear the yellow pajama's in Logan.
But now they are happy - since they have the pointless childish cartoon antics of Deadpool Wolverine PLUS the pajamas. Yay!

Moments to restore my faith in the MCU? Haven't seen any of those since Endgame.
black magic power, twerking hulk, dancing bollywood style, kang that looks not smart enough, she hulk getting though 3rd wall story.
The Mandarin was actually quite a funny twist, and well in line with the anarchic character of the first Ironman film.
I agree with you. It was satire and sophisticated poke at how stereotypes are used to create villains.
But ironically the kid-level audience actually wanted a fu-manchu asian stereotype mumbling mutton mouth English.
That one scene in Endgame, and all of Captian marvel. After that i knew i was done.
Disney should fire Tatiana Maslany, Brie Larson, Bob Igor, and whoever their DEI Supervisor is.
Seeing M.O.D.O.K. in Quantumania gave me CGI Jeff Bridges flashbacks in Tron: Legacy. Or Superman's mustache removal in Justice League.
Let’s be real She Hulk was the MCU’s real jump the shark moment.

Top ten moments that ruined Watchmojo:
Number 1: Citing the wrong movie at the end of their list.
Pandering to certain unexciting audience.
_Pandering to certain unexciting audience._
^ You mean not pandering to you? Instead?
(I'm still waiting for a MCU to try looking more like an actual comic book, like the Scott Pilgrim movie did, give me a Batman '66 style MCU film!)
When Giah (Emilia Clarke) in Secret Invasion got all the Avengers powers from the vial of blood collected on battlefield of endgame.
Oh My Heavens yes. Endlessly dumb - this scene is. - Yoda
She gets Drax *tattoos* - which are in memory of his family murdered by Ronin and Thanos.
I think the connections were there(Wanda, the twins, Strange) BUT the MCU is playing the long game
lol what else was a typical fan going to do than to assume it had something meaningful behind it...that's the only reason why they casted him...
I've seen worse
Black Panther 2 was not good
I didn't think so at all myself, wished they'd never of bothered! I remember reading they had all the footage of chadwick they needed after his loss .....absolutely disgrace to the late actor. Awful film Awful marvel film Awful disrespect

It’s time to let the MCU die. It had a good run. Let’s focus on bringing back Marvel Cartoons and watch that instead. X-Men 97 was a banger. We need more like that. #RestoreTheYostVerse
They destroyed the brand on purpose
That first one💯
@@mikelytou _at some point took off their masks/helmets to reveal their faces_
Total disagreement on this one.
Maybe it's MODOK, just don't take the mask off. lol. *That's absurd.*
I mean you couldn't be more wrong about this.
You want mask as a non sequitur expectation from comic books - that make no sense whatsoever in the MCU.
The moment the screaming goats happened in Thor Love and Thunder was the single moment I stopped watching all MCU projects. She-hulk was the project that reiterated that statement.
ironically the goats are a real thing in Norse mythology, they pull Thors boat.
And the only good MCU projects since then were Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Loki season 2, and Deadpool and Wolverine.
If they actually rebooted the MCU at that moment,
Then maybe Phase 4 wouldn't have been that bad in the first place.
Yeah, but it’s gonna take an entire decade or so to restart everything also also people are asking for Galactus to be the next big bad in the MCU

Saying that the MCU fell off would be a understatement
I regret seeing Ant Man 3 in cinema. It was SO BAD.
