My Sister, Thank you so much, I am writing to you from Jamaica. I want to plant vegetables but the land near my home is not good. I was thinking about grow bags, but they are so expensive... Today I planted some okra in a bucket, but I didn't know how to plant my greens. Then you showed up on my TH-cam this afternoon, and it's so great to know you... I am now inspired... Jah Bless you my sweetheart...❤
Thank you. I live in South Africa. Here is funny sand only Like powder. Also bad. So I made beds with hollow bricks. I put cardboard in the bottom. 2 layers should kill off weeds. Then I throw al my scrap vegatables and eggshells and older leaves that I cut on top. Then a bit of sand. Riversand is best. And at the top I throw compost Then I plant. The cardboard is carbon for plant roots as it made of trees. Also it's bedding for earth worms. The worms love it.The scraps is nutrients for the soil. And food for the worms. The eggshells is calcium for the vegatables. Some leaves turn yellow if they short of calsium. You can put 4 planks together. Or use stones. Make a square on top of cardboard, newspapers and papers and layer it. You don't have to buy worm castings. A good bag of compost from a nursery useually have some earthworm eggs and it will breed. The sand is just for some drainaige. Wet it well and plant. You can buy a small bag of root builder. Throw a little bit in the hole with your seeds It will help the plant to germinate and grow strong Good luck. You have so many vegatables and fruit. My yard is small. So I grow vertically. Any plant that run or climb can be grown vertically. I just started all over making a new bed for Pumpkins.
