    Hello, I am interested in pursuing specialty training in the UK through the MRCP pathway. I conducted some research and discovered that there is a foundation training stage before proceeding to core and specialty training. Now, my question is whether I, as an international medical graduate (IMG), need to apply for foundation training before embarking on core and specialty training or I can directly apply for Core Medical Training ?
    I have also learned that it is advisable to have at least 2 years of clinical experience working in hospitals before taking the PACES exam. Should I consider taking the PLAB exam to secure non-training jobs that would provide me with clinical exposure? Or would an internship in my own country suffice?
    I apologize for any confusion; I have limited knowledge of the correct procedure. Thank you.

    • @AceurMRCP
      @AceurMRCP  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi
      You are right in your research. However you can avoid foundation training and core training in the UK by providing evidence of your competencies.

    I am from pakistan. Working as medical officer (GP) have not done FCPS etc.
    Being a GP can i opt MRCP .?

      This would depend on which specialty she wished to work in. As she is still an undergraduate, PLAB would be a good idea to get her GMC registration.
