My mother ex mother in law filed a report against me accusing me of being inappropriate with my young sister in law. She lied I wasn't even there when all this was supposed to happen. She told the police she didn't want to push the investigation. She "Didn't want her daughter to be traumatized by being interviewed." I had to call the DA and ask him to investigate me and charge me or clear me. He went to the police detective in charge of my case and said he didn't want to investigate it. So the DA said investigate we do not leave this hanging on a man trying to have a relationship with his kids. I was cleared. But this made me change my life and I suffer PTSD from is it dragged out almost 9 months!!!

I had a seventeen-year-old girl make accusations against me. Thankfully the chief of police took the initial report and thoroughly investigated it immediately. And because of that he was able to get the facts really quick and confront the girl with the actual truth and she recanted. She did it all because she didn't want to get in trouble with her parents for drinking and partying.

You've made a heartfelt apology, and it is absolutely acceptable and understandable. Even as a seasoned reporter, and even after the initial allegations and the subsequent revelations, this is *still* an exceptionally sensitive and emotionally fraught subject. You reacted emotionally because you're a decent human being, and you expected the same decency from others. It wasn't to be in this case.
Being methodical and patient about extremely emotional stories is very difficult for anyone to do, and sometimes it isn't popular with those who are more quick to judge - but it's often what we need to consider when dealing with a story about which we have limited acquaintance. And that doesn't just apply to you - it applies to all of us, all the time.
Before and after all of this, this is a fun and informative channel and I'll continue to watch and recommend it. And you should be commended for your humility and your honesty.

We can't continue having this shit going on, the most for accusations that change peoples lives is six months, not even if someone is convicted/even if they are cleared their life is still ruined. Many may see this as too much but AT LEAST 2-3 years of jail and a massive fine. It seems harsh but, for most people even being falsely accused will ruin their life, Also if you accuse someone your name should be out there, we shouldn't play this game where one side can throw shade one way and be protected.

    As I have stated before:
Accusations of this type require positive, authoritative proof before the victim should be believed. Yes, that sounds awful, but the number of times a person has regret about an intimate encounter and claims rape or assault makes skepticism a necessity.
I assert that most claims of "rape" or "assault" are devoid of either, and are mere reactions to the loss of "social virtue" by the alleged "victim".
This is a cash grab, pure and simple.
We now live in a society where one special set of people actually believe that they should live their lives free of material consequences for their poor decisions or bad actions.
The "accuser" should be charged at a minimum with making a false report. Since we live in a gynocentric society, that won't happen.

Women that do this are disgusting! Something similar happened to me in 2019 where I lost my teaching career. I was accused of sleeping with a minor, then changed to rape due to her being 17 at the time, It wasn’t even the girl that was saying these things. It was her husband who was just trying to get out of a 80 lbs drug charge and guess what, It worked for him! He never got charged and I lost my career. I feel for Matt Araiza and I hope he can be reinstated into the NFL. He’s too young. The girl contacted me and did apologize and told me it was him making her do it. My life will never be the same and I’m sure Matt’s life will never be the same.

@Mikerophone, dude.. I just seriously gained even more respect for you as a sports journalist, reporter, youtuber, and as a man. Publicly admitting you made a mistake and apologizing for it is a sign of absolute integrity.
Nobody gets everything right 100 percent of the time, especially given the sources from much larger multi-billion dollar media organizations, a major university, etc failed to keep their own biases in check and not cast a judgement before Mr. Araiza was proven guilty in a court of law.
In the modern day and age, so many men and women forget how to be honest and humble in the face of popularity, and all too quickly forget where they've come from. Thanks for not being like the crowd and keeping it 100.

Props on ownership and accountability for your words and actions. Bro just proved he has more class and honor then 90% of any other sports caster. Professional or TH-cam. Great coverage on the update. Hold your head high you did right by both yourself and Matt Araiza

Thank you for this. Now if all the big time NFL pundits would come out with their apologies, including the NFL Roger the Dodger, and my team since 1960 the Buffalo Bills. If I remember correctly the same allegations were make against a certain LaCrosse team one upon a time. That was a fairytale too.

At the time of your first post. You had only one side of the story. Which the information you had I understand your point. We all make mistakes, but I give you props for coming out and saying that you did make a mistake. I love watching all your videos. Keep doing you.

got railroaded like that pitcher from the Dodgers. The girl was caught texting a former player about taking his money too, never seen any repercussions. Meanwhile he’s in Japan and lost his entire mlb career.
