After all, FSA Ganondorf was said to have "Mysteriously disappeared." This game was also where we heard that there was a Ganodnorf born every 100 years. Also, the whole in ganodorfs body in botw 2 could just be cause of the malice, and not the execution from TP. Its impossible for it to be the Ganodnorf from TP.
@A B because ganondorf died in tp. He’s still alive in botw 2 he’s just mummified and trapped in like a stasis type form. How do i know ? Well whenever ganondorf is killed he comes back 100 years later as a new baby and botw makes it very clear that no gerudo men have been born for hundreds of thousands of years
@@novustalks7525 I agree with you. In most cases of Ganondorf's defeat, he's either banished to another realm or killed. In the cases where he is killed, we can see what becomes of his remains, which is why he didn't reappear following WW. At the end of TP, his body vaporizes and blows away (while still standing). In FSA, there is no death, no sealing in another realm. I am mostly convinced the semi-corpse is Ganondorf and it would mess with my reality for a few minutes if it's not, but I'm also convinced he is not in or beneath Hyrule Castle.
I'm excited to see an intelligent, conniving villain again after the mindless beast that Calamity Ganon was! Ganondorf is just such an interesting villain that we love to hate.
I would be.very disappointed if they didn't bring him back. The Calamity as a character to me felt empty, incomplete, just plain damn boring lol. I quite enjoy the quick-witted, intelligent villain. The older, calmer, more calculating, more human Ganondorf of WW was terrifying on my first playthrough, completely caught me off-guard and is the only reason I occasionally replay WW lol. I'm really hoping they'll do something vaguely similar with him in BOTW2; give him back all his brains, and just enough humanity to be noticeable, possibly tug on the heartstrings slightly. No, I don't want a redemption story though those do make good fanfics.
Considering the fact they’ve been planning this after/during the making of the dlc, it goes to show they’re putting time in making this sequel instead of rushing it out because of a planned date of release

Hey, so I was thinking and I realised something a bit strange about vah ruta. So in the true ending, it specifically says Vah Ruta isn't working properly. I think that's a bit strange and spicific. But today I was listening to some of the music from the divine beasts. And vah rutas music stood out from the rest of the divine beasts. most of the divine beast's music start sad and depressing and slowly become more hopeful as you take back terminals. But in vah ruta it gets more sad and depressing as you go on. Also, I can't 100 percent be sure about this one, but for all 4 divine beasts SOS is hidden in the music in morse code. But in vah ruta in addition to SOS, I feel like I can hear SAD (search and destroy). Maybe this has something to do with the sequel.
I wish I had read your comment before I dumped a huge comment on someone else's lol. I certainly wouldn't want a redemption story, but just enough humanity for the player to find him infinitely more frightening than the Calamity was; to let us know indirectly what Ganondorf monologues at the end of WW - that he has/had a purpose, a motivation that was initially a good one in spirit. There would be no point in him saying it directly, because the descendants of his folk are thriving now and there would be no need for him to fight for their rights anymore...
Yeah, I do love a good villain, but idk if ganondorf being a "good" (aka layered) villain is a very good idea. Ganondorf and Ganon have appeared in almost every game as a being of purely evil motives. Sure, Ganon comes in different forms and shapes, but nearly every incarnation of his human and beast form have shown only one motive: domination and destruction. The reason for this is simple: ganon *is*, at his core, a being of pure evil. In fact, his very existence is the dark power and evil of the dead Demise manifested in the form of Ganon/Ganondorf as a being. He's portrayed as pure evil becuase he is, by definition, *actually pure evil*.
On top of it being obviously Ganondorf from the trailer, he was vaguely mentioned by Urbosa in the cutscene of Vah Naboris when she said “Calamity Ganon once adopted the form of a Gerudo.” So there’s already canon in game reference to him.

Recently whenever i see ganon's eyes from the trailer been getting majoras mask vibes and because of this i think that we might be seeing 2 forces 2 enemy's from games past colliding into 1 the entity inside the mask of majora finding a new host in the corps of the Garudo king.
There is no bloodline. There is only Ganondorf/ganon. The one we see in oot is the same in all other installments. Excluding 4 swords adventure. That game is just in the wrong timeline spot and just about everyone agrees.

I want to see the Malice come for Link. It would be cool if the Malice was just a materialized version of the heart's capacity for wrath and Link was brought to brink somehow of falling in to it by Ganondorf. I have some concerns about Ganondorfs motives. He entering a totally different world 10,000 years in the future. All his enemy’s are gone, the kingdom he wanted to rule is destroyed, the gerudo people forgot him I feel like their is no reason for him to be a villain and if he is good in the sequel then that would be pointless because than there would be no villain. I love Ganondorf as much as the next guy but currently I see no reason for him to be in the game. Hopefully they come up with something but I know the gameplay will be fun so I’m still excited.
Well, Zelda and Link are still alive, The Kingdom will be rebuilt, and Ganondorf has no control. His last hope is to revive again and try to destroy them in his human form.

Possibilities for new exploration options (My theories): The sky city from Twilight Princess Twilight Versions of the overworld The Underwater Exploration Options (The Return of the Water Temple) The actual twilight world Getting the hookshot (or double claw shot/some other new mobility options if they did add the sky city I'm thinking a floating rune or something that makes something rise up. Botw1 had very little in the way of vertical maneuvering outside of glitches except by climbing. For the most part, we're always on land. That might not be the case in the sequel.) Underground Arbiter's Ground (The place where the mirror of twilight was kept) I think they made the right move by preparing to use Twilight Princess concepts and hinting at it being canon. It's a very vertical game with much less exploration than it had. It may not use the divine beasts since OG ganon is defeated. That may leave the options for visiting some of the old dungeons (most of which are still possible to use but we just don't have access in Botw1) UNRELATED: We might actually just be dealing with Demise btw instead of Ganondorf. Just saying. Or maybe the body of Ganondorf from that is left beneath Hyrule Castle because they realized banishing it wouldn't work when they ran out of places to banish him too. That might be why we were dealing with a far more distorted amorphous ganon because they trapped his body in limbo and they didn't understand that he could use other means than a physical form.
i hope and expect for this Ganondorf, istead of the typical passive Ganondorf we have in past Legend of Zelda games, i want to fear and shmpathy with Ganondorf, mix the personality of Wind Waker e Twilight Princess Ganondorf and we have the best version of the character, shown him slowing recovering his humanity and powers, until Zelda and Link have a confrotation with Ganondorf.
I want to have an epic Final battle like The dimise fight. Not just hack and slash him and shoot some arrows but actual struggle in the battle as if you are really there. And Mabye toss something in to distant ganondorf like in the past Zelda games like fish hook or net.😉
I agree GanonDorfs Attacks should not be predictable and you can’t spam bomb arrows because if you do he’ll just catch them and throw them back at you, Also what if ganondorf could parry and perfect dodge the player I feel like that would be interesting
If Ganondorf comes back for this game, it could really end the story of Demise started in Skyward Sword as Ganondorf has always been obsessed with ruling Hyrule, not destroying it (the destruction is just a by-product of Ganondorf's desires for what he want the world to look like). Calamity Ganon on the other hand is just interested in destruction for destruction's sake. So I am guessing such a story would focus on Ganon abandoning his "humanity" in favor of his base hatred.
The thing I find kind of terrifying is that Ganondorf hates the Hero so much that he literally destroys Ganondorf and turns into Ganon. He just wants to kill link, and everything that stands in his way. He literally gives up on being ganondorf and he destroys his essence. His essence is now malice. And might I add that Ganondorf seems more evil than demise
I really want a definitive end to Ganon and hoped BotW would deliver that. After seeing Ganon defeated and resurrected so many times, it really starts to lessen the triumph you feel when you beat him in a new game, because you know it's probably just temporary. I know this isn't a unique idea, but I'd love to see the human part of him redeemed. The way I'd spin it is that demise was able to bind himself to the soul of a human destined to re-incarnate due to his connection to the Triforce (like Link and Zelda) This third person was meant to be their ally as a powerful trinity that could stand against even greater force evil than we've seen in this franchise, but the infection of demise corrupted this person into the Ganondorf we know. If they could cleanse Ganondorf of demise and unite the powers of all three, it'd make a great transition to a new era in the franchise in which we see this trinity of Triforce heroes defend their realm against greater evils. But I'm not holding my breath.
I recently created a new Instagram w Zelda content, and I posted and interesting thought. The hand on Ganondorf's chest in the trailer for botw 2 brings to mind Zants alliance to Ganondorf. Not only that, but the color of the green swirling energy is similar to a color design we see on puppet Zelda, but also the twilight energy we see in Twilight Princess via twilight portals. In addition, Zant's neck crack that kills Ganondorf is similar to when the corpse snaps his neck back in place. This had me thinking...Did zant snap his neck to HELP Ganondorf? Was this part of the plan? Will zant make a return in BOTW 2? Will we see Zant and Ganondorfs alliance get expanded upon in the game? Will Zelda get possessed again? Could the Twili make a return?

@@Ash-bl7vm we heard that there is a male gerudo born every 100 years in OoT first. And it isn't a "ganondorf" born every 100 years, just a gerudo male. I haven't played FSA yet, but ganondorf never made an appearance in FSA, he reincarnated as ganon. So the body in the BotW 2 trailer could still be the one in TP.
To tell you the truth, Zelda Theory, watching your videos is making me more and more excited for Breath of the Wild’s Sequel. I just wish there was at least SOMETHING about it. It’s been almost 2 years and I’m starting to get worried that we might now get anything soon 😞. I also hope the game will be on the Switch and Link to be the playable character. There’s something funny about Ganondorf’s ears which struck me as odd. All the human based races like Hylians, Sheikah and Gerudo have pointed ears, but according to Creating a Champion, the Gerudo way back in the ancient past, used to have rounded ears. Unfortunately due to so many generation upon generations having partnered with many Hylian voes, their ears changed shape to match the exact same as their husband’s and anyone else’s in Hyrule. Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo, must’ve been one of those in the ancient past, hence the ears, of course.
The entity is either Ganondorf in the mind and flesh, or the essence of Demise that somehow survived after all this time taking control of Ganondorf's body, but my money is on Ganondorf.
I am hyped to see ganondorf return, to have an intelligent enemy again would be awesome. It's weird to say, but I have missed ganondorf. It would also be cool if they tie in demise into all of this as well.
It’s my personal belief that the reason they’re making skyward sword is so they can remind us of demise and the beginning of the series so it will tie into BotW 2
I think Demise will return to importance to the story. Yes I think Ganondorf will rise, but I think every Ganon we’ve seen is Demise trying to claw his way back to the living. And I think it’d just require him to be consumed and have a vessel in the world long enough. Would be interesting to have a creature of that power return since Link in this era has no triforce blessings, Zelda has 3, and it was the reverse in Skyward Sword. And Link in that era was specifically designed to do battle with Demise by Hylia herself.

Here's a question: Why is Skyward Sword the Zelda game that is being released on the Switch instead of the others that could be remade??? I think it is because they want to link the first game in the timeline to the last game in the timeline, whilst giving a refresher course on the lore from that game. I too think that the Malice is the reincarnated essence of Demise and that this "new" Ganondorf will be able to utilize that power to its fullest extent, instead of a mindless rage beast.
What.. “I have confirmed the eradication of the demon king. His residual consciousness has been absorbed into the Master Sword… and is now sealed away.” - Fi Physically Demise is gone for good. The hate Ganondorf has comes from the curse and the power he wants to obtain comes from the curse as well. They are all 3 bound to one another for eternity. The only thing I can see happening with demise is that since Fi woke up from her eternal slumber and the master sword is weak... even after the trial of the sword then maybe the seal on his residual consciousness was broke. The only thing that would do is fuel ganondorf even more. Ganondorf is forever the main villain in zelda. Not some puppet. He has obtained the triforce of power before something demise never could do.
unless the master sword fully breaks and there is a chance that demise seeps out of the sword and revives, meaning Fi probably dies, very unlikely. But it would be interesting I guess. It would be weird if the plot somewhat centred around the sword breaking and maybe having to repair it again in order to seal demise once more or finally kill him completely, eradicating his curse. But that would completely end and all future incarnations of a Ganon and link and Zelda so probably not cuz Nintendo still needs to make money off the franchise.
I think this is the previous ganondorf and he’s been trapped for 10k years+. Imagine his insanity being a prisoner for that long. His body looks similar to the monks. He’s been put in some sort of stasis by the shiekah and royal family. @@_itsmunah yeah he’s still technically alive . I really admire whatever the zonai did to him because it was the most effective way to get rid of ganon . They literally found a way to prevent him from being reborn while also preventing him from corrupting some other dimension. And his hatred only unleashes once every 10,000 years . They effectively got rid of them for good without killing him . It’s really interesting
If BOTW falls in the Adult Timeline, it could be a more melancholic Ganondorf, that has recognized the curse; since he mentioned it in WW "that which binds us". If it falls in the Child Timeline (more likely IMO since his wound in the BOTW2 teaser resembles the wound he suffered in Twilight Princess), he probably is still, or even more, cocky and power hungry. No idea about the Downfall Timeline, BOTW doesn't fit into this timeline IMO.
Yeah since 1. Ganondorf is the main antagonist in the franchise so who else would it be especially since 2. Ganon has had a decently sized break as the villain like ever since Twilight Princess Ganon hasn't had an ACTUAL outing as a villain in canon. Not even when he appeared seriously Yuga stole the plot from him.
Personally, one of my favorite elements of Calamity Ganon was that it WASN'T Ganondorf. I've been playing Zelda since it was new, back when Ganon was an actual character, but wasn't a man; he was more of a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Once we got Gdorf, in Ocarina, they just refused to let Ganon be a character, instead making him, at best, an occasional other form of the Gerudo king. I really miss when Ganon was his regular state, like in Link to the Past, and you could see why moblins were described as monsters bearing some of their master's appearance. At this point, I think it is a foregone conclusion that Gdorf is returning, as said. What scares me is what it means for BotW. Before Age of Calamity was confirmed to be mostly a what-if scenario, it stood to entirely undo Breath of the Wild. We now know that the time we played as Link isn't undone, but if Gdorf returns, and is stronger than Calamity Ganon, what does that say for the boss of BotW. He was trying to build a body because he didn't have one. He sometimes seemed mindless, but was cagey enough to taint the Sheikah tech, and turn it against Hyrule. Did it need to do any of that if Gdorf was still loafing about, just partially sealed? If he's separate from CG, what did Zelda actually seal? Is there a reason Zelda can't just seal the weakened mummy? She has her power now, and he'll be at less than 100%? I don't know; I feel it's where they are going, and I'd love a Ganon who thinks, talks, and plots, but I just don't want another man with a sword, when a pig demon with a trident was once fine, and I don't want it to totally trivialize everything BotW did. As said; we'll just have to wait and see.
I bet you nintendo would put loactions in BOTW 2. I'm mean come on nintendo why give us the the same map when you can put more loaction's. and i think in BOTW 2 Ganon might use the malice to increase his strength both Physical and magically.
Evil has to return. Ganondorf will always return. Otherwise, the Zelda series would not follow history as they have in the past. He came back from the dead once and will again and again. Zelda and Link are ageless. They will come back again and again. This you can always be assured of. That's why Zelda/Link can never be totally killed/die. But then that's how the Zelda series goes on and on and on for years and years and many years to come. I just hope now that they destroyed all Hyrule, we now get to see it totally reconstructed looking better than before. Also, hopefully won't trash the open world concept which for me is the best part.

Recently whenever i see ganon's eyes from the trailer been getting majoras mask vibes and because of this i think that we might be seeing 2 forces 2 enemy's from games past colliding into 1 the entity inside the mask of majora finding a new host in the corps of the Garudo king.

I want to see the Malice come for Link. It would be cool if the Malice was just a materialized version of the heart's capacity for wrath and Link was brought to brink somehow of falling in to it by Ganondorf. I'd love a "turn to the dark side" kind of moment where Ganondorf tries to make Link as angry as possible.

I have some concerns about Ganondorfs motives. He entering a totally different world 10,000 years in the future. All his enemy’s are gone, the kingdom he wanted to rule is destroyed, the gerudo people forgot him I feel like their is no reason for him to be a villain and if he is good in the sequel then that would be pointless because than there would be no villain. I love Ganondorf as much as the next guy but currently I see no reason for him to be in the game. Hopefully they come up with something but I know the gameplay will be fun so I’m still excited.
Well, Zelda and Link are still alive, The Kingdom will be rebuilt, and Ganondorf has no control. His last hope is to revive again and try to destroy them in his human form.
It’s been longer than that . The calamity 10,000 years ago is proven to not be the first one . So he’s been underground for 20,000 or maybe even 30,000 years
Possibilities for new exploration options (My theories):
The sky city from Twilight Princess
Twilight Versions of the overworld
The Underwater Exploration Options (The Return of the Water Temple)
The actual twilight world
Getting the hookshot (or double claw shot/some other new mobility options if they did add the sky city I'm thinking a floating rune or something that makes something rise up. Botw1 had very little in the way of vertical maneuvering outside of glitches except by climbing. For the most part, we're always on land. That might not be the case in the sequel.)
Underground Arbiter's Ground (The place where the mirror of twilight was kept)
I think they made the right move by preparing to use Twilight Princess concepts and hinting at it being canon. It's a very vertical game with much less exploration than it had. It may not use the divine beasts since OG ganon is defeated. That may leave the options for visiting some of the old dungeons (most of which are still possible to use but we just don't have access in Botw1)
UNRELATED: We might actually just be dealing with Demise btw instead of Ganondorf. Just saying. Or maybe the body of Ganondorf from that is left beneath Hyrule Castle because they realized banishing it wouldn't work when they ran out of places to banish him too. That might be why we were dealing with a far more distorted amorphous ganon because they trapped his body in limbo and they didn't understand that he could use other means than a physical form.
i hope and expect for this Ganondorf, istead of the typical passive Ganondorf we have in past Legend of Zelda games, i want to fear and shmpathy with Ganondorf, mix the personality of Wind Waker e Twilight Princess Ganondorf and we have the best version of the character, shown him slowing recovering his humanity and powers, until Zelda and Link have a confrotation with Ganondorf.
I want to have an epic Final battle like The dimise fight. Not just hack and slash him and shoot some arrows but actual struggle in the battle as if you are really there. And Mabye toss something in to distant ganondorf like in the past Zelda games like fish hook or net.😉
I agree GanonDorfs Attacks should not be predictable and you can’t spam bomb arrows because if you do he’ll just catch them and throw them back at you, Also what if ganondorf could parry and perfect dodge the player I feel like that would be interesting

If Ganondorf comes back for this game, it could really end the story of Demise started in Skyward Sword as Ganondorf has always been obsessed with ruling Hyrule, not destroying it (the destruction is just a by-product of Ganondorf's desires for what he want the world to look like). Calamity Ganon on the other hand is just interested in destruction for destruction's sake. So I am guessing such a story would focus on Ganon abandoning his "humanity" in favor of his base hatred.
The thing I find kind of terrifying is that Ganondorf hates the Hero so much that he literally destroys Ganondorf and turns into Ganon. He just wants to kill link, and everything that stands in his way. He literally gives up on being ganondorf and he destroys his essence. His essence is now malice. And might I add that Ganondorf seems more evil than demise
I really want a definitive end to Ganon and hoped BotW would deliver that. After seeing Ganon defeated and resurrected so many times, it really starts to lessen the triumph you feel when you beat him in a new game, because you know it's probably just temporary. I know this isn't a unique idea, but I'd love to see the human part of him redeemed. The way I'd spin it is that demise was able to bind himself to the soul of a human destined to re-incarnate due to his connection to the Triforce (like Link and Zelda) This third person was meant to be their ally as a powerful trinity that could stand against even greater force evil than we've seen in this franchise, but the infection of demise corrupted this person into the Ganondorf we know. If they could cleanse Ganondorf of demise and unite the powers of all three, it'd make a great transition to a new era in the franchise in which we see this trinity of Triforce heroes defend their realm against greater evils. But I'm not holding my breath.
I recently created a new Instagram w Zelda content, and I posted and interesting thought. The hand on Ganondorf's chest in the trailer for botw 2 brings to mind Zants alliance to Ganondorf. Not only that, but the color of the green swirling energy is similar to a color design we see on puppet Zelda, but also the twilight energy we see in Twilight Princess via twilight portals. In addition, Zant's neck crack that kills Ganondorf is similar to when the corpse snaps his neck back in place. This had me thinking...Did zant snap his neck to HELP Ganondorf? Was this part of the plan? Will zant make a return in BOTW 2? Will we see Zant and Ganondorfs alliance get expanded upon in the game? Will Zelda get possessed again? Could the Twili make a return?
this is a pretty epic theory! I would love if the Twili returned in BotW 2.

@@harikohli541 Although a lot of people think that this Ganondorf is the one from TP, I think not. There was a new ganondorf after TP in FSA, and I think that's the one that is in the botw trailer. After all, FSA Ganondorf was said to have "Mysteriously disappeared." This game was also where we heard that there was a Ganodnorf born every 100 years. Also, the whole in ganodorfs body in botw 2 could just be cause of the malice, and not the execution from TP. Its impossible for it to be the Ganodnorf from TP.
@@Ash-bl7vm we heard that there is a male gerudo born every 100 years in OoT first. And it isn't a "ganondorf" born every 100 years, just a gerudo male. I haven't played FSA yet, but ganondorf never made an appearance in FSA, he reincarnated as ganon. So the body in the BotW 2 trailer could still be the one in TP.
I remembered that someone made a video trying to disprove that this is ganondorf, and instead tried to prove that Astor was the corpse 🤣

To tell you the truth, Zelda Theory, watching your videos is making me more and more excited for Breath of the Wild’s Sequel. I just wish there was at least SOMETHING about it. It’s been almost 2 years and I’m starting to get worried that we might now get anything soon 😞. I also hope the game will be on the Switch and Link to be the playable character. I know it sounds kind of obvious, but I just hope it happens... 🥺
There’s something funny about Ganondorf’s ears which struck me as odd. All the human based races like Hylians, Sheikah and Gerudo have pointed ears, but according to Creating a Champion, the Gerudo way back in the ancient past, used to have rounded ears. Unfortunately due to so many generation upon generations having partnered with many Hylian voes, their ears changed shape to match the exact same as their husband’s and anyone else’s in Hyrule.
Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo, must’ve been one of those in the ancient past, hence the ears, of course.
The entity is either Ganondorf in the mind and flesh, or the essence of Demise that somehow survived after all this time taking control of Ganondorf's body, but my money is on Ganondorf.

It’s my personal belief that the reason they’re making skyward sword is so they can remind us of demise and the beginning of the series so it will tie into BotW 2

I think Demise will return to importance to the story. Yes I think Ganondorf will rise, but I think every Ganon we’ve seen is Demise trying to claw his way back to the living. And I think it’d just require him to be consumed and have a vessel in the world long enough.
Would be interesting to have a creature of that power return since Link in this era has no triforce blessings, Zelda has 3, and it was the reverse in Skyward Sword. And Link in that era was specifically designed to do battle with Demise by Hylia herself.

Here's a question: Why is Skyward Sword the Zelda game that is being released on the Switch instead of the others that could be remade??? I think it is because they want to link the first game in the timeline to the last game in the timeline, whilst giving a refresher course on the lore from that game. I too think that the Malice is the reincarnated essence of Demise and that this "new" Ganondorf will be able to utilize that power to its fullest extent, instead of a mindless rage beast.

Physically Demise is gone for good. The hate Ganondorf has comes from the curse and the power he wants to obtain comes from the curse as well. They are all 3 bound to one another for eternity. The only thing I can see happening with demise is that since Fi woke up from her eternal slumber and the master sword is weak... even after the trial of the sword then maybe the seal on his residual consciousness was broke. The only thing that would do is fuel ganondorf even more.
Ganondorf is forever the main villain in zelda. Not some puppet. He has obtained the triforce of power before something demise never could do.

unless the master sword fully breaks and there is a chance that demise seeps out of the sword and revives, meaning Fi probably dies, very unlikely. But it would be interesting I guess. It would be weird if the plot somewhat centred around the sword breaking and maybe having to repair it again in order to seal demise once more or finally kill him completely, eradicating his curse. But that would completely end and all future incarnations of a Ganon and link and Zelda so probably not cuz Nintendo still needs to make money off the franchise.

I think this is the previous ganondorf and he’s been trapped for 10k years+. Imagine his insanity being a prisoner for that long. His body looks similar to the monks. He’s been put in some sort of stasis by the shiekah and royal family. It Prevented his reincarnation. thus the calamity was born. “The history of the royal family is also the history of calamity ganon”
It’s not the same ganondorf from previous games . This one is in stasis. He’s still alive and that’s why he never reincarnated

@@_itsmunah yeah he’s still technically alive . I really admire whatever the zonai did to him because it was the most effective way to get rid of ganon . They literally found a way to prevent him from being reborn while also preventing him from corrupting some other dimension. And his hatred only unleashes once every 10,000 years . They effectively got rid of them for good without killing him . It’s really interesting
If BOTW falls in the Adult Timeline, it could be a more melancholic Ganondorf, that has recognized the curse; since he mentioned it in WW "that which binds us".
If it falls in the Child Timeline (more likely IMO since his wound in the BOTW2 teaser resembles the wound he suffered in Twilight Princess), he probably is still, or even more, cocky and power hungry.
No idea about the Downfall Timeline, BOTW doesn't fit into this timeline IMO.

Personally, one of my favorite elements of Calamity Ganon was that it WASN'T Ganondorf. I've been playing Zelda since it was new, back when Ganon was an actual character, but wasn't a man; he was more of a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Once we got Gdorf, in Ocarina, they just refused to let Ganon be a character, instead making him, at best, an occasional other form of the Gerudo king. I really miss when Ganon was his regular state, like in Link to the Past, and you could see why moblins were described as monsters bearing some of their master's appearance.
At this point, I think it is a foregone conclusion that Gdorf is returning, as said. What scares me is what it means for BotW. Before Age of Calamity was confirmed to be mostly a what-if scenario, it stood to entirely undo Breath of the Wild. We now know that the time we played as Link isn't undone, but if Gdorf returns, and is stronger than Calamity Ganon, what does that say for the boss of BotW. He was trying to build a body because he didn't have one. He sometimes seemed mindless, but was cagey enough to taint the Sheikah tech, and turn it against Hyrule. Did it need to do any of that if Gdorf was still loafing about, just partially sealed? If he's separate from CG, what did Zelda actually seal? Is there a reason Zelda can't just seal the weakened mummy? She has her power now, and he'll be at less than 100%?
I don't know; I feel it's where they are going, and I'd love a Ganon who thinks, talks, and plots, but I just don't want another man with a sword, when a pig demon with a trident was once fine, and I don't want it to totally trivialize everything BotW did. As said; we'll just have to wait and see.

Evil has to return. Ganondorf will always return. Otherwise, the Zelda series would not follow history as they have in the past. He came back from the dead once and will again and again. Zelda and Link are ageless. They will come back again and again. This you can always be assured of. That's why Zelda/Link can never be totally killed/die. But then that's how the Zelda series goes on and on and on for years and years and many years to come. I just hope now that they destroyed all Hyrule, we now get to see it totally reconstructed looking better than before. Also, hopefully won't trash the open world concept which for me is the best part.
