I absolutely love Link’s story in these games. It’s so heartbreaking and tragic. It was honestly such a smart thing to do for Nintendo to have him wake up with no memory in the beginning of botw, (which for me I personally liked cuz it was my first loz game ever) and discover everything at the same time as the character. You discover his past with him, you figure out this strange world with him. You discover who he is, what he lost, and what he is truly fighting for. And you succeed, but it’s bittersweet. But there’s hope. She’s back, and you can live your life together. Take back what was lost over the 100 years. Then, he loses everything again with Zelda in totk, and his whole quest becomes about finding Zelda. The main quest you complete at the end if the game isn’t defeating ganon or saving hyrule, it’s saving Zelda. She is his whole world by that point, and he lost her. I cried ugly tears at the end of totk cuz I have been on this journey with link since the beginning. And I know how much he has gone through to save her and keep her safe.

Ok so what kept the Champions from Cutting off Ganondorf's Head when he was Sealed by Rauru? They had the Advantage at that point. Zelda HAD THE TRIFORCE! How could they Run Away when they had the Greatest Advantage to Kill Ganondorf and Prevent the Calamity? You had it all and you Blew it!
Calamity Ganon is the consciousness/hatred of OOT Ganondorf, not TotK Ganondorf. If it was connected to TotK Ganondorfs consciousness and was specifically seeking out both BOTW Zelda and Link it wouldn't have a hatred for the other Links and Zeldas it fought in the past. Also we don't have evidence to suggest Malice and Gloom are the same thing.
Wait, I'm currently trying a Storytold* Run of BotW. After that; TotK. Should I be watching this? *We have a canon timeline, but what about the details? When does Link find the Master Sword? When does Link actually get to wield the damn thing? When does he go to Faron?
If BOTW/TOTK are indeed at the end of the timelines the final battle with Ganondorf does feel like it has some sort of finality in it, from the war in the depths, to the 1-1 sword battle as numerous musical ques from previous ganon battles play in the background, to the final dragon battle in the sky. i got emotional my first time beating it.
And yet we saw him back in Echoes of Wisdom, almost as if Aonuma and the Zelda Team are telling us how integral of a character Ganondorf is for him to ever be vanquished for good. He is to Link and Zelda what Bowser is to Mario and Peach, so there's no way this is the last time we'll be seeing him.
@javiervasquez625 no. The difference is Echoes has a timeline placement. We know he will be back for Zelda 1. Breath and tears have no placement, simply that it takes places centuries after the timelines (any of the three). It's why I felt it had finality. I know obviously it won't, however at this point in time. It feels that way since there's nothing after this story arc.
@@GeekMuscle Regardless of the timeline placement, the fact remains: Aonuma and co. brought him to the spotlight despite having no narrative reason to do so as per _Null_ been the game's main antagonist. The entire game Ganon could have sat down and not appear whatsoever, the story not changing in any way with his complete omission from the storyline. The fact that Aonuma felt compelled to shove him into a storyline in which he played no central role to the narrative proves that to him and Nintendo he's that _iconic_ and popular of a character, for him to ever be permanently removed from the franchise. Echoes of Wisdom utterly confirms this to be true wether you admit it or not.
@javiervasquez625 nobody is disagreeing with that fact homie lol I'm just saying for the self contained story of those two games. Those set of characters. Since it's too far in the timeline to even matter.
While the ads are ading, took a look at the video's name and went "oh, are they trying to reconstruct Wild's past from whatever scraps of info we have? Will they include the whole training with a carrot thing? Also wondering how Link got the Master Sword. If his parents lived in Hateno, that's not exactly anywhere near the Korok Forest and I doubt you could make the trek in a short time
Given it's clear that once he started training with a sword he was travelling with his father who was a knight (so kinda his father's squire), there's no reason not to believe those travels passed via the Woodland Stable when Link was 12. Link could have had an odd dream or such that caused him to leave the stable and enter the woods, coming back out again with the sword much to his father's shock.
Right... so, what's Link's favorite food? What does he like to do in his free time? How does he feel about his dead parents? How does he feel about Zelda? What does he actually think of her? There's no character here. We know _nothing_ about him. All we have are extremely surface level fan speculation. Nintendo needs to give him a voice and let him become the real character he deserves.
For the next generation of Nintendo system, I hoped we get to see the return of the Era of the Wild’s Link and Zelda with a proper conclusion of their story. Plus, a TOTK side story where we get to play as Zelda as we explore more of the Era of Hyrule’s Founding, and the events before and during the Imprisoning War.
You seriously asking for Nintendo (and players) to endure the _same world map_ all over again a second time...? Are you aware of how much tired the communiy at large is to even entertain the idea of going back to the same Hyrule and the same Link and Zelda, just to waste another 4 years of development going back to the same world and characters? It ain't happening, let it go.
@@javiervasquez625 and are you aware that there are pieces of the Wild Era needs to be fill in like the additional contents from the master works that should’ve been in Tears of the Kingdom? It sounds like you care about gameplay rather than storytelling, lore, and worldbuilding just like the rest of Nintendo staff members. There are so many ways TOTK could’ve done better like allowing players to play as Zelda in the distant past seeing more of Hyrule’s history, how the Shiekah is formed as a tribute in honoring King Rauru, or how the Divine Beasts are build as way to pay homage to the Ancient Sages that would led to the first Great Calamity. I strongly feel like we’re gonna get a new Zelda game exclusively to the Nintendo switch two when that comes out next year. I also suspect that Metroid prime four has been delayed for the Nintendo switch two as well.
I don’t think so. It takes at least four to five years to make game of this size and quality. So I wouldn‘t expect a new 3D Zelda game before 2027/28. We may get a remake of an older title or a new 2D Zelda however in the meantime.
I think the final game of the trilogy is about the corruption within society itself. The fact that Hyrule can never be the perfect society because of its corruption and perversion under the guise of peace and history erasure. Either Kohga or someone from Link and Zelda’s Hyrule past.
Never, Aonuma and Fujibayashi have both gone on record to confirm they're *done* with this iteration of Hyrule and its characters to make another direct sequel. It's time to move forward and innovate the series with a new world, characters and story appart from the Era of the Wild.

Can you do the history of hero of wind
@@chimbloanimation9242 Since Tetra is Zelda and ST Zelda is her descendent , we can assume there are plenty of Zelink moments in the history of the Hero of the Wild and Spirit Tracks.
After we get Wind Waker on Switch or the successor ;)
Yess, finallly
Honestly my favorite version of Link, as well as the most iconic, at least besides the Hero of Time
21:51 hold up a hug that looks like it could be from in game? Where is it from?
If BOTW/TOTK are indeed at the end of the timelines
the final battle with Ganondorf does feel like it has some sort of finality in it, from the war in the depths, to the 1-1 sword battle as numerous musical ques from previous ganon battles play in the background, to the final dragon battle in the sky. i got emotional my first time beating it.
@javiervasquez625 nobody is disagreeing with that fact homie lol
I'm just saying for the self contained story of those two games. Those set of characters. Since it's too far in the timeline to even matter.
@@GeekMuscle Okay... now i'm confused as to what your point is, but we can leave here to avoid wasting more time.
Didnt even mention mipha proposing to link
Right... so, what's Link's favorite food?
Having no DLC and Master Mode is a big mistake!
@@a.jthomas6132 So what...??? The game's over and Aonuma and Fujibayashi have confirmed they're turning page and moving on with a new world and story, making any such "piece in need to be filled" redundant to the Zelda Team's willing decision to turn page and move forward, after wasting 9 YEARS working on the same bloody world with the same bloody characters. I repeat in case you didn't get it the first time: Aonuma and co. have confirmed they're *moving on* from the Era of the Wild, in order to begin work on a new Hyrule with new characters and storylines. Wether you have the scrutiny to accept it or not, there's no reason to await any direct sequel to Tears of the Kingdom after the lead developers confirmed the end of this particular iteration of the kingdom. You're wasting your time asking for something which they confirmed will NEVER HAPPEN. Let it go, it's over.

hyrule warriors 3
I strongly feel like we’re gonna get a new Zelda game exclusively to the Nintendo switch two when that comes out next year. I also suspect that Metroid prime four has been delayed for the Nintendo switch two as well.
I don’t think so. It takes at least four to five years to make game of this size and quality. So I wouldn‘t expect a new 3D Zelda game before 2027/28. We may get a remake of an older title or a new 2D Zelda however in the meantime.
@ I think the next Zelda game will take about 4 to 5 years as well and most likely will come out on the Nintendo switch 2.
I think the final game of the trilogy is about the corruption within society itself. The fact that Hyrule can never be the perfect society because of its corruption and perversion under the guise of peace and history erasure. Either Kohga or someone from Link and Zelda’s Hyrule past.
Wasn’t the mute 🤐 explained in the Zelda’s new game ?
Doesn't the spirit temple come before the master sword?
Who is more tragic?
The Hero of the wild, or the hero of time?
Hero of Time, he literaly dies forgotten in the child timeline. Which begs the question what would have happened if he stayed in Adult branch.
BOTW 4 when?
Never, Aonuma and Fujibayashi have both gone on record to confirm they're *done* with this iteration of Hyrule and its characters to make another direct sequel. It's time to move forward and innovate the series with a new world, characters and story appart from the Era of the Wild.
@@javiervasquez625 exept for that rumourd BOTW remaster i guess
what about age of calamity?
Link and Zelda make me think of those two couples from the book Les Miserables
How am i so early
I clicked on this video thinking it was a Zeltik video. immediately went to the comments and barely noticed the pinned comment when going back up so it all felt natural lol
Zeltik also tends to cover more specific topics while CommonWealth is more generalized content
Woah
He got the cutest Zelda so is it so bad?
Kind of want the next breath of the wild game to be Link's son, having become the royal consort to Queen Zelda. He's become a general and whatever quest needs to be done has to be taken up by their child. Good chance to actually make it so the player chooses whether you play a boy or girl.
