Great review! Information is very helpful and easy to understand! I like that there's no music too, a lot of unboxings have very loud music but this feels relaxing to listen to!
How does this compare to RU7 and DC Elite? I have the RU7 and am afraid it will sound almost the same as the DC07 Pro. I'm considering to add either the DC07 Pro or DC Elite.
I haven’t tried the RU7, but the DC-Elite is noticeably better than the DC07Pro overall, especially in terms of staging and imaging. But it’s not as powerful of you have some harder to drive headphones.
@@VishnuP-j2i thanks. I've more or less decided to go with the DC Elite but I would appreciate if you can let me know briefly in what areas the DC07 Pro is different or better than the RU7. Thanks.
@@ryder9739 Brief Analysis of iBasso DC07 Pro Advantages Power Efficiency: The iBasso DC07 Pro is significantly more power-efficient, consuming only 80mA while delivering high output power (up to 430mW at 32Ω). This makes it suitable for longer listening sessions without draining the device's battery quickly. Sound Separation and Layering: The DC07 Pro excels in sound separation and layering, providing a clear distinction between instruments and vocals. This allows listeners to appreciate the nuances in complex tracks more effectively. Detail Retrieval: With its quad-DAC configuration, the iBasso DC07 Pro retrieves details exceptionally well, allowing for a more immersive listening experience. The high signal-to-noise ratio enhances clarity across all frequencies. In summary, while both devices are high-quality audio solutions, the iBasso DC07 Pro offers superior power efficiency, sound separation, layering capabilities, and detail retrieval compared to the Cayin RU7. You can also check my review on headphonezone.
In terms of being too forward as in the vocals being shouty? The DC07Pro and the ER2XR together is far from being shouty IMO. Both have a warm and smooth midrange.
Hi, I notice the OLED display always show 32bit even if you play something with lower bit rates(16, 24etc). The frequency shows correctly though. Is this an issue?
It correctly displays the sample rate all the time. The bit depth displays 16 bit when I play 16 bit files on a bit perfect source. But for some reason it displays 32 bit when I play 24 bit music. It might be a firmware issue (I couldn't update mine as I don't have a Windows PC), but I don't see a problem with that as long as the sample rate is correct.
@@Late_Night_Unboxing mine shows 32bit no matter what I play...tried 16bit 24bit. Fw is latest 3.96.35 and using with iphone. very frustrating. anyone know how to resolve please share. appreciate it🙏
Just a quick update. My DC07Pro will display the correct bit rate on all 16 and 24 bit tracks in Apple Music on Android. But of course, resampled to 48khz due to SRC.
It will depend heavily on how the music itself is recorded/mastered. And of course it'll depend heavily on your IEMs and headphones too. Some IEMs like my ER2XRs have a very narrow soundstage no matter what I use it with. I compared the DC07Pro with the UA4 and HC4 and the DC07Pro felt much wider than both of them.

Thank you so much!
Fantastic review! No filler, descriptions are precise and easy to triangulate. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!
Dang, man...this was so chill, informative and thorough. Looking forward to more.
Thanks man. There’ll definitely be more coming!
Your reviews are very helpful. Thank you. :)
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful.
This portable DAC is insane. I have bought one as well. Hope it reaches me soon.
I hope you can also review the DCO6 Pro
Thank you for your review! Chilled and informative.
What watch were you winding there?
Glad you liked it! It’s a Panerai PAM 000.
Thank you so much Mate for that amazing Video 📹 so well done 👏

Bro what eartips are you using for the etys?
Those are the grey tri flanges from Ety.
Can you please review Questyle M12i DAC
Don’t have the opportunity to do so yet. But there are some dongle DAC reviews coming up.
Can this drive dt 1990 pro 250ohm?
Yes, but preferably you'd want something with more power.
The mid frequencies aren't a concern that they are too forward in the Etymotic ERX2?

That’s normal on an iPhone as there’s no exclusive mode on iPhone. It will automatically rescale your audio.

Lol. Contact is really a benchmark for treble. 🤣
Interesting, I did not that DACs has any effect on soundstage.

@@Late_Night_Unboxing oh yeah the er2xr and Timeless doesn't have any sense of soundstage
It can definitely have an effect on sound stage. This dac is much wider and deeper than the Questyle m15.

volume is very soft
Are you referring to the video volume or the DC07Pro?
@@Late_Night_Unboxing I would say he or she is saying he video is low. But it is ok. No need for it to be loud.
