Long time Jinx fans knew for a while Jinx's minigun is named "Pow-Pow".
So when I was watching episode 6 of Arcane in current year and heard Vi call her sister "Pow-Pow" I basically had a heart attack and woke up in the hospital 3 days later.
In the lore of League, most of factions are on a grey area (no defined good or evil), the only common enemies to all humanity are the Void, the Undead and the Demons.
Evrn the undead have people like Yorick and Maokai

Piltover and Zaun are just 3 of the main regions in all Runeterra. In the league universe webpage you can explore these regions, just try to avoid Piltover or Zaun to avoid arcane spoilers.
There's artwork of the architecture, surrounding lands, animals, people, weapons, etc. There's also comics (some are in collab with marvel), novels, lightnovels, audio tales, short stories, etc.
And then there's the Interactive map, the best way to explore Runeterra. It gives you a general explanation of each region with their take on magic and type of government.
If you want more insight of a region, a channel called Shambits Gaming makes videos about the regions. Don't worry, he hasn't made videos about piltover or Zaun so there's 0 spoilers about arcane. Check out Noxus will Rise if you are interested.

12:24 judging by the clocktower, it actually is Piltover, is just all the explosions and Jinx's chaos that makes it look like Zaun, but believe me, Zaun has always been very very different to the rich Piltover, even before Arcane. In the universe webpage you can check out concept art of each region, and in Zaun there's a lot of architecture and people's artwork.
Your theory is pretty close, you can check out Zaun story in the page. Essentially it was initially a prosperous trade city called Oshra con Zaun (something like that, can't remember xd) so Piltover is the actual younger city.
They put Jinx in pants in Arcane, maybe because to avoid sexualization of a minor? Idk. Because this Jinx here is already an adult, that's why her outfit is less cute and more "show those legs".
So, that topic about playing league or not always comes with reactors, and there are a lot of gatekeepers, but unlike other games where they gatekeep you because "this game is only for pros, go away". In league's case they gatekeep you because they know how toxic players can be, so they just tell you "don't play it, it's toxic".
In my opinion is up to you really, I'd love to see you playing. Obviously is nothing you could imagine from arcane hahaha But you can have some fun. If someone starts being toxic you can mute them. Thankfully you can play normals and other fun modes, while most of the toxic players are tryharding in ranked games.

You mean Piltover & Zaun are *2 of the main regions?
We knew that the monkey was an important symbol for her character, but it wasn’t until Arcane that we learned it was what ended up killing her family and set her on the path of Jinx… it was a heartbreaking realization.
Also, we learned where the name for her mini gun, “Pow-Pow” came from (the nickname Vi called her in Episode 6) because I don’t think we knew her birth name was Powder.
There’s also some Easter eggs from this in Arcane; for one she has a little toy Rhino like the one she rides in the video :)
Even now we don't know the birthname of Powder (easily can be another nickname). And also if Vi and Powder are blood sisters at all. It doesn't mean so much to the future of their characters, but we have no confirmation about true origin of them.
Well Veggie, the Arcane skins for LoL were available the day arcane launched ;) and yes, they have more games in the making, and one of them is a fighting game (working title "Project L"). And feel free to check season 2 trailer, its just a few voice lines from Jinx and Vi, so zero spoilers.
The robots were representations of real humans. Riot needs to tone down the violence (rated K-T) so they just opted to not show real humans there.
The balloon is another yordle, Ziggs, also a scientist who is obsessed with bombs and blowing things up but he lives in bandle city iirc and sometimes visits Piltover by Heimerdingers invitation to give speeches or seminars regarding explosives.

Yes, Riot is actually developing a fighting game called Project L (for now). Jinx will be one of the first champions in its release. You can now look up the development updates in TH-cam, they already have two.

Well, i don't, because most of the time people just stay in the cinematics and straight up ignore completely the lore, which is coolest part about the universe of runeterra, and its sad.
This is definitely Piltover and Zaun being displayed, albeit a somewhat older conception thereof. Jinx and Vi came out about a year or so before a major shift in the lore's general style and direction across the game. While a lot of elements were kept across these changes, you can consider this video to be a decently early and somewhat unrefined conception of what Piltover and Zaun would later become, similar in most essential aspects but different in the details. Arcane, by contrast, is the most up-to-date take on the characters, environments, and lore, as well as an origin story for champions like Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Viktor, Jayce, Ekko, Singed and Heimerdinger.
The blue cloud tattoo referencing the flare is only a presumed ret-con on the meaning of the tattoo. Prior to Arcane, there was no such meaning.
Pow-pow is the name Jinx gave to her gun in the game. In the song, Jinx wants to know what her gun thinks. Arcane chose to use Vi calling Jinx that (as a Powder nickname) as an Easter Egg to something in the game.

Hmm. The champions as character in Arcane is not just a "take" but a fleshing out of their character. There are bits of changes to make them more nuance and have depth but still close as 1:1 on how they are represented in the games.. yes.. gameS. Riot has 3 games set up in Runeterra plus two when the MMO and Project L is finished.. Plus the 2 games from Riot Forge that are already released, Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem plus two when Song of Nunu and the game where Ekko is the main character.
Yes, Riot is expanding the League universe in different mediums and through different game developers. They make phone calls with these developers as ask "which of our champions you want to make a game about?".
And her weapons are:
Fishbones (bazuca)
Pow-Pow (mini-gun, also her old nickname)
Zapper (shock pistol)
Flame Chompers (grenades)
They are actually doing a fighting game with jinx, is not the jinx from Arcane but the one from league, but i would be surprised if you couldn't buy a skin Arcane themed. The came is called Project L (A place holder name) And you can actually see some videos about the development of the game
A common theory is that the robots in this video are just how Jinx sees people, especially Pilties. Just as robots. But that is never confirmed or anything. And it is a dream anyway.
Lastly, the rhino. There is a reference to the rhino in Arcane. She has a little rhino rocking horse in her lair in the background.
Actually the theory comes from the fact that originally they were supposed to be people (maybe enforcers) but it looked a little too violent so they changed to robots

I would strongly suggest watching the video Seconds. It was Ekko's intro video, and it gives just... _such_ a good sense of who he is as a person, it feels like. Could be called spoilery if you don't want to know anything about his abilities in the game, but honestly, we're two bloody years out from season 2 at this point. I think that anything that's already out in the ether about League is pretty fair game! I highly recommend a content creator called Schnee, who has done a lot of really great videos about Arcane. His video on Ekko is what really crystallized Ekko as my favorite character from the show!
Watch a video on jinx's voice lines she talks to powpow and fishbones (her minigun and rocket launcher.) And they "talk back" it's amazing.

I recommend checking out the official Jinx Champion Spotlight. You'll get to see Jinxs abilities, how she plays in the game, and how the game itself plays. Keep in mind however, that it's an over 10 year old outdated video of the game - but you'll still see the concept :)

Jinx in “Get Jinxed" is the current Jinx we have in League of legends she's already on her 20's while Jinx in Arcane was still on her teens.

You got it right about the mines, although you didn't even need to go this deep in your analysis. Silco actually says it during the "good meeting". And "the fissures" are mentioned several times throughout the series - in the context of Zaun they also mean mines.
The monkey is just from the video Get Jinxed, there's no monkey toy in the game. They just reused it for the series
There's an upcoming Ekko game in the future which obviously focuses on Ekko, Zaun and maybe Piltover so yeah I guess wait on that game.

Riot is making an MMO based on the world of league of legends. Necrit has a bunch of videos on the lore around the world. They aren’t focused on Pitover and Zaun. So I don’t think there are major spoilers there
I use Episdoe 3 to filter and find new reactors to watch. Their comments and reactions to powder make or break my decision.
When Riot made the first music video for a champion. Older Jinx missed that outfit of hers.
There is a turn based RPG set in the league of legends universe that you can check out called Ruined King, it is however not arcane based so just keep that in mind. And in terms of a fighting game there is one in development and jinx is confirmed as a character but don't expect that one anytime soon.
If you are trying to avoid spoilers I wouldn't dig too far into the league roster and its lore as off the top of my head there are 2 arcane characters that will get massive spoilers, one that will have a major spoiler just seeing them and another that is only speculation based on lore. From the documentary on arcane we learned that these character arcs will resolve in season 2 so I would hold out until then before taking a dive into leagues deeper lore if you want to avoid those spoilers. But thankfully alot of the cinematics should be safe to watch.
Thanks Raza! Yeah I really want to deep dive into the LoL lore, but am definitely trying to avoid seeing anything I shouldn't see until Arcane is done! Glad to hear there is plenty of stuff that is spoiler free! I've loved everything I have seen from this universe so far!!
In the original lore for League of Legends there was an association called League of Legends, which was an academy of powerful sorcerers, whenever a city state would have a conflict with another, instead of letting them go to war and kill each other they would summon a champion from said regions to fight in an arena, which is where the game takes place.
That lore is obsolete and has absolutely nothing to do with the actual lore. Around 2014 Riot decided to separate the gameplay from the lore, so the game is now something that has little to nothing to do with the stories and it's entirely its own thing.
There is actually a fighting game being developed right now, and both Jinx and Ekko are going to be part of it. There's also The Ruined King, which is an RPG, based on one of the latest world altering stories in Runeterra.
If you're more interested in more stuff about the world, Necrit, the youtuber considered as the Loremaster of Runeterra (The world where Arcane takes place) has recently made a few videos explaining some elements about the world as he speculates what the coming MMORPG from League is going to be. I would only recommend to watch the first video, since the other few may have a few potential spoilers for Arcane, but the first one is perfectly ok.

Prior to "Arcane", "Legends of Runeterra" confirmed Jinx`s birthname to be Powder by Ekko as well as him having a crush on Powder before she went insane and started talking to her guns and he still misses the old her(Poor Ekko.)It also confirmed Vi and Powder/Jinx to be big sister and baby sister for the first time whereas previously Vi was a cop, Jinx was the criminal she was trying to catch and Jinx only vaguely implied Vi was her sister and it was mainly her trolling because Vi has amnesia and in canon Jinx hates older people and authority figures and their rules!

Please watch the "Warriors 2020 cinematic"! There are characters from Arcane in it - but also new characters from other regions of Runeterra.

If you willing to watch League of legend stuff like this you should react to the "Tales of Runeterra" videos. Some are fairly simple just showing off a character but some are like mini episodes of a series and all the ones I've seen are fairly short.
Edit: Originally I said "Cinematic - League of Legends" videos instead of "Tales of Runeterra". Both good but Tales of Runeterra is the one that's mini episodes.

Veggie, i Absolutely recommend checking out the lore of Runeterra(world of league of legends, where pilt/zaun are in) the lore of this universe is mostly Fenomenal, with some of the coolest characters and factions in fantasy, i would normally recommend u start by looking up the story of Ionia or Noxus although i would not recommend looking into pilt/zaun lore, because leagues story is now around 5 to 8 yrs ahead of what we see in the end of Arcane s1 u could end up getting a LOT of spoilers for the future of characters we see in Arcane, but honestly, the world of Runeterra beyond pilt/zaun is so big that i really think this wouldn't be a problem...

I play League of Legends over 10 years now... It's true players are toxic in this game but there is still a way to avoid this if you really want to try it. Also they got RPG game from the world of League of Legends but it's focused on different region and characters. And you talked about fighting game and YES, it's currently in development and there will be Arcane characters too, so you have something to look forward to.

League is actually not a bad game IMO, the main problem is the toxicity from League players, if you have the tolerance and patience you can give it a try, but I actually prefer Legends of Runeterra, is a card game but have a single player mode and you can play as Jinx.
Note: Both games have spoilers about one of the characters, so if you play any of those be prepared
14:40 if you want to play the game, then you should just play. Arcane isn't canon to League, so even though there might be potential 'spoilers', they don't really matter. Also, there IS going to be a League Fighting game! It's a 2v2 tag team game and Jinx and Ekko are already confirmed, and you can bet Vi is coming in too. It's currently called Project L and it's early in development
9:30 You're looking too much into it. Some stuff is in the videos for the sake of being in there. In this case, I think, the robots are in it to not show you Jinx killing actual people and make the video +18. Some people think they're supposed to be real people and corpses represented by robots. The robots themselves have no relevance and I think this is the only video where they appear. There are many factions in the LOL lore and many characters that only answer to themselves. There are only a few factions that are a universal threat to most and the "robot faction" is none of those.

Jinx is looking different because there's age gap than in Arcane. In current League lore year, Jinx age is around 18 - 20 y/o. In last episode of the Arcane, Jinx estimate age is 14 - 15y/o. So there's 4 to 5 age gap between the current lore and in Arcane
I think the ones you should react are the tales of runeterra ones, the are the video expansions of the league card game, but they also are perfect world building tales for those who are just understanding the league universe, talking about the existing regions

Riot is working on a mmorpg, so you may be able to explore the world of league of legends in the future, and not mess with the current game.
I highly recommend watching the Enemy video from Imagine Dragons, it's got some additional footage of the Arcane characters, and then give the cover of that song from Voice Play a watch, it's a neat take on the song done acapella.

about what is canon and not is a bit of trick question, while they tried give character and context to everyone in the early LOL there wans't a coodinated efort im making a perfect LORE, things just need make sence enought.
But around 2016 they began a full revamp of all the lore, sometimes was just "more chapters" but many characters had their origin drastically changed, this update is made in parts usually surrounding through many months the launch of histories/characters/visual, lore and in game mechanics updates. as result some parts are outdated,
in game most of characters of piltover/zaun are severely outdated lorewise and inconpatible with the post 2016 lore. And here is wen get tricky arcane story was made with great participation of the people that are making the LOL post 2016 lore! while they had all fredoon to make what they want the arcane lore is better mach to the overhaul post 2016 lore than the currently in game piltover/zaun.
i believe that arcane will be the piltover/zaun new lore and the game will be retconned to reflect that. as to why they still did not done that yet probably is because they will drop bit bit bit together with arcane new seasons.
or maybe they forgot just like Miss fortune she got involved in some of major world events in LOL lore as Captain fortune and that was already a very big story and update and her page still before she had become captain.

I'll be real with you. The whole "Don't play League" thing is kind of a meme. The fact is, League of Legends is a GREAT game. It's longevity in the gaming world is proof of that. It's the COMMUNITY that is toxic. And if you're wanting to take the game seriously, climbing in ranked queue can be VERY stressful.
But if you want to just play casually to enjoy the characters, I'd recommend trying it. Just turn off chat and have some fun.
If you want lore, art, and like card games, maybe try out Legends of Runeterra instead.
CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story is a league of legends game in a different genre following Ekko. Not out on steam yet, but hoping we get more of these games. I'm avoiding news on the MMO till its closer to coming out as well, partly to avoid spoilers for season II. Since Ekko's watch broke in Arcane, I would think CONV/RGENCE won't have season II spoilers but who knows.
People are warning you to not play League mostly because the player base is extremely toxic and the game is really addictive once you get the basics down. But since you are a content creator, there is a way for you to try it without having to deal with the toxic elitists; Just do it in a stream with your followers. You need 5 against bots (which usually is just steamrolling them) or 10 for 2 teams, so should be easy enough. Try to have people who won't take the game too seriously but still know the basics so they can explain them to you. The game has a 1 player tutorial when you first open it, so that's something you can do too. But it is fun with friends.
There might be some things you could think as spoilery if you play it but... well, League players have known all of that for years and still enjoyed Arcane. It's not always the goal that's interesting in stories, it's how we get there

When you talk about a nice game with Arcane characters, you seem to predicting the fighting game that LOL creators are doing a fighting game for systems. Also the outfits of all characters from arcane can be used in LOL: Wild Rift mobile game by purchase or free to use. 😌

Lets face it: They created charaters with some random abilities, and then later wrote a smal "backgroundstory" arround said abilites and how that character got them, and why they are part of the game.
only later when those backgroundstories turned out to be fairly popular with a large part of the playerbase they started to make them somewhat more fleshed out.
"Arcane" is now the newes high they reached doing this exact thing.
So for example, those blue-smoke-tatoos Jinx has where originaly just there to look cool. In Arcane they made the smoke of the flare look similar to her tatoos to toss us yet another easteregg.
Thats the more plausable way of thinking here ;)
Not complaining though, it works well, and i do appreciate the mouch more fleshed out stories we get and got along the way. The only real "bad" thing is, that i played the game long before i watched Arcane, and knowing the game actually "spoils" a lot of the Shows potential, since one already knew how and where a lot of the characters in the Show would end up, the moment they first shoed on screen.
It said “Nerf Heimerdinger" bcoz Heimerdinger in Top lane was so Overpowered and such a bully...u will get poke to death in early game and one shot in mid to late game.

Better check out this games DON'T PLAY LEAGUE it's competitive game and so people there can be very toxic, and game itself have a lot of content, so it's just eat hours and hours of time too learn
