That literally happened to me. I came across get jinxed and I loved the song so much. When I saw arcane come out I was like… wait a second. Isn’t that jinx from that music video that I loved?!
@@Law-_ nahh, I long forgot how the music video looked when arcane came out. The fact that arcane came out reminded me that I watched that music video a long time ago but I didn’t go back and watch it and instead started watching arcane!
It's amazing how they repurposed Jinx from a crazy-fun character into the complex, traumatised girl we root for in Arcane. And I guess it's nice to know that in at least one alternative universe, she found a home with the other Guardians of the Galaxy and got over her trauma!
This (Get Jinxed) was made a couple years before "Arcane" was even and idea. But they did incorporate quite a few of things from this video into the show. Most importantly, this is the first time that RIOT worked with Fortiche animation studio.
This song is also part of Arcane... is playing in episode 4 in Jinx's workshop right befoce Silco confronts her about killed enforcers... =) - Monkey and rhino escaped from Piltover zoo... obviously... - Whole this clip have official description: Jinx's dreams come alive in a hexplosive sequence packed with bombs and bullets and her unique take on fun. Marvel at the mayhem in the Jinx music video. btw. this clip was created also by Fortiche =)
I wouldn't read too much into the Get Jinxed video - it was more of an abstract music video they created to celebrate the release of Jinx into the game. It is more meant to give you the spirit or feel of the character, rather than any specific story points. Riot (the game developer) is a little unusual for a game company in that they have a fully fledged in-house music production studio, which is why music features so heavily in their products and often feels like the focus point of alot of their videos. There's something of a joke in the League community that Riot is actually a music studio, masquerading as a game company :D Christian Linke, one of the co-creators of Arcane, actually came up through the music production side of Riot so its not surprising that music featured so heavily in Arcane. Welcome Aboard is a promo video for an Alternate Universe "Guardians of the Galaxy" inspired skinline - basically reimagining the characters in an alternate universe. Since League of Legends is a free to play game, Riot make their money off it by creating and selling cosmetic skins. Other popular skinlines you might come across videos for are Star Guardians (their Sailor Moon inspired universe) or PROJECT (a futuristic cyberpunk style universe). There is also the "music" universe - since Riot is so into music, they basically created a heavy metal band (Pentakill), a Kpop group (K/DA) and a rap group (True Damage), all of which had characters re-imagined as musical acts with legitimate music. Pentakill have released 3 full albums of pretty awesome metal music and K/DA in particular was super popular, with their first song, POPSTARS, having over 500 million views on youtube :o Some other great lore focused league videos you could react to: * Awaken | Season 2019 Cinematic - League of Legends (ft. Valerie Broussard) * Warriors | Season 2020 Cinematic - League of Legends (ft. 2WEI and Edda Hayes) * The Call | Season 2022 Cinematic - League of Legends (ft. 2WEI, Louis Leibfried, and Edda Hayes). These 'season' cinematics are released at the start of the year to hype up players, featuring various champions in lore inspired events set to epic music. * Tales of Runeterra. Theres 10 or so short videos in this series, each about a different region from Runeterra (the name of the world). They would give you a brief idea of what each region is about, and feature various champions that hail from that region. * The Curse of the Sad Mummy | Amumu Music Video - League of Legends. Sung by Christian Linke, co-creator of Arcane, about a champion called Amumu. * ANNIE: Origins | League of Legends. A very well done animated video about the backstory of a champion called Annie. * Call of Power | Ryze Cinematic - League of Legends. Remember how Heimerdinger was deathly afraid of magic in Arcane? Well that was a reference to a historical event in the League lore known as The Rune Wars, where a bunch of mages discovered ancient magical artifacts known as World Runes and basically starting nuking each other with them, nearly destroying the world. This cinematic, featuring a champion called Ryze, gives a little insight into that. * The Path, An Ionian Myth | Spirit Blossom 2020 Animated Trailer - League of Legends. @@StopMeOh Jinx cosmic cinematic is about alternative universe. As advise about lore cinematic, I would advise to watch the "Warriors" cinematic from 2020, it is connected to Vi's "Child of Zaun" story.

In game characters have different skins that you can buy (thats how riot makes money since league is free to play). Each skin has it's own universe with its own lore separate from the cannon lore of runeterra. (Odyssey is like a guardian of the galaxy in mcu) The same is true for Arcane.
What you watched at the end is more like an alternate universe. It does really have Guardians of the galaxy vibe, i agree, and she's sane cuz it's possible that in the Oddissey AU she hasn't even really gone through the same trauma. Almost every single skinline is an AU by itself, but some of them are canon lore events where they get a different outfit. By far the most fleshed out AU is Star Guardians, it features jinx and since recently also Ekko. It's very sailor moon-esque. There are cinematics and music videos on the LoL youtube channel telling an ongoing story.
If you haven't seen it already, you'd really love the Imagine Dragons "Enemy" music video made for Arcane. It's ALL NEW SCENES, nothing recycled from the show! Also, I've seen that others are recommending "Warriors," and I'm sure they mean the 2020 version with LoL characters, not the 2014 version which only has LoL pro players. So be sure to watch the right one! Also, I'd personally highly recommend LoL's "The Curse of the Sad Mummy" and "Annie: Origins," neither of which relates to Arcane, but feature amazingly unique art styles and story telling. You'll experience more of the range of what the studio is capable of, as well as why they're sometimes called a music studio.
Have in mind this was a videogame before anything else and many of these videos are just introductions for new characters or for new miscellaneous content for those characters like skins and Riot like to invent alternative universes to sell these skins where the characters are not an accurate portrait of themselves in the game, much less Arcane. The videos are mostly divided in new character/content presentation videos, fight porn videos to promote the game and the lore videos, where you can actually look more into the world-building and theories. Although these are about so many non-Arcane characters that you don't know and even when Arcane characters are actually involved, they're not the same people 1 to 1 as you already know. These two fit in the first category. Most of these videos are great and fun to watch no matter the category they fall into though.
I like to imagine the robots in get jinxed are actual persons, but they probably couldn't show that because it would be too dark, like Jinx dancing with dead people.
for the "See what pow-pow thinks" bit, the Pistol's name is Pow-Pow. This animation was made far before arcane came out. In fact, this song was IN arcane, because it's Jinx's song. But the fact her name was powder definitely does put some meaning behind the name.
Listen, Get Jinxed was being made alongside Arcane. Arcane WAS an adaptation, now it is canon. Get Jinxed simply showcased what Jinx is as a character; fun, insane, chaotic. The monkeys and the rhino are set free and vandalized by Jinx hahahaha, nothing important! The robot just shows her insanity and probably her loneliness. No League players know the ending of Arcane but the rocket is Jinx's ultimate in game. Meet Jinx's guns; Pow pow the triple canon gun, Zap the handgun and Fishbones the canon that launches her ultimate rocket. Odyssey was not just a promotional video for skins but also PvE teaser.
The Odessy skin-line was great. It came with a PvE event that was super fun, where you would play the crew and fight hordes of aliens and even Kayne as the final boss. Sadly riot has not made such events in a long time. (The original Star Guardian skin-line also had a magical girl PvE event, which was also very cool.)
So most skins are usually alternative universe versions. And the music video is a dream. So instead of using these to predict exactly what could happen I think they are better used for getting an insight into the personality of Jinx further down the line. Once her insanity kind of becomes a stable equilibrium.
And the second video think of it also like a “alternate universe” most of the skins change up the characters style or personality a bit but they do it to increase immersion on the skin theme
very cool that you dive into more League content - you will love it ! Can't wait for your reactions. Not Arcane related but also a very amazing cinematic story I recommend is "Annie - Origins". :) If you want to lean more about the canon world of Runeterra(in order to know what possibilities lies ahead) I strongly recommend Necrit's video "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done". League is a bit like a multiverse - their skinlines sometimes even have elaborate Lore like the Star Guardian (Magical Girl vibe) or Odyssee (Guardians of the Galaxy vibe) parallel universes. The Odyssee trailer you saw shows a different Jinx which is a lot happier there with less trauma and a lot of fun. Also: Did you watch Arcane Making of: Bridging the Rift on the official League channel ? This will give you a lot of answers on how they got the idea and the whole process of execution on the show since Riot basically did everything by themselves - even building up an animation studio (Fortiche, which they now partly own ^^) Also regarding the Jinx video: As you might have seen Jinx has bullet tattoos and black(!) painted nails in this video which I suppose we will get to see in S2. Regarding the animals - there is a short story on League universe describing Jinx breaking into the zoo and letting the animals loose in town which this video is referencing to. The Rhinozeros was also seen in Arcane as a plushie reference when the enforcer searched the place in Ep2 of Arcane. The carussell you wondered about is seen in Jinx's cave. When she says "Happy Progress Day" to Silco in ep 4 it is moving in the background. Robots have also a special reference- there is also a robot champion that might or might not appear in Arcane later but I won't elaborate on that origin in order not to spoil anything for you.
The black nails thing is extremely interesting, thanks for all the extra info, I appreciate it! Feels a bit overwhelming at the moment, but I am sure I'll get there slowly. Feels like such a mine of knowledge for predicting future of Arcane. Also, yeah I have watched these Arcane documentaries, amazing stuff!
You should react to "ANNIE: Origins" it's a League of Legends six-minute-long animation about one of their characters from Noxus. You might like it because you like Arcane.
This is the reason I even looked at LoL. Jinx will always be my favorite. BTW the song is from DJerv, the band who used to be Animal Alpha. One of the bands that did music for Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters.
@@StopMeOh Btw the robots most likely were a first iterations of the concept of wardens/enforcers. Given how technology centric piltover has always been represented in game and in lore, they must have made the enforcement automated. Also for the future of Arcane, it would be cool if you check the other regions, specifically ionia. They have an amazing cinematic called "kin of the stained blade" about a major character of ionia.
I am guessing a lot of places you don't recognize, and the robots and such are most things they decided not to integrate into Arcane, though it does seem like they decided to take a lot over to build lore around. Like the rockets here, they probably decided that this was a cool way to destroy the council. Decided to take the Monkey Bombs from the game that jinx builds and make it a focal point for arcane.
I think they might have used robots, because if it were people it might get hit in various countries as inappropriate to show. The rocket is the "Super Mega Death Rocket" from her ult in the LoL game, thus League players would identify her signature rocket.
Hi Ola! I've actually followed you for a hot minute now and I love that you're prepping for a deep dive into League lore! I've heard very exciting things from MoP and I'm sure you two probably have some amazing stuff cooking up for the future on League related things. Feel free to hmu if you guys need help! I wanted to add my two cents about the skins: since League of Legends is free to play, cosmetics and battlepasses is a big part of Riot's income from casual gamers - hence the promo material for skins. We players need some hype to invest real world money :). Many skins have small blurbs describing why these champs look the way they do and these descriptions flesh out their own separate universe apart from Runeterra 'prime'. We can consider all these skins as part of alternate universes - and there are alot of skinlines. Star Guardian is a big one, Odyssey (the one you watched), K/DA (also Pentakill), and PROJECT are skinlines with a more fleshed out universe to name a few. One could very much spend a whole day going through the AUs of Runeterra. Thanks for the video though, I'm looking forward to what you watch next!
Hey, nice to meet you! :) thanks for all the background info, I appreciate it and it makes much more sense now to make a separate trailer just for that. I'll grow to appreciate it, too. The idea of happy Jinx somewhere out there is already stuck in my mind.
@StopMeOh It is really reassuring! This Jinx is prolly living a really exciting life as a crazed pilot GotG-like! I love the colors of Odyssey. Another interesting bit about the Odyssey skinline is that Riot did have someone write a story for it! And the author? Someone who wrote comics for Marvel's GoTG! At least it's what the Wikia says. Isn't that awesome! The League Wikia is the quickest way to get lost in a rabbit hole of lore :)
Good content. Played league for 12 years and been big on the lore. And if you want to have more content to react to, consider watching Necrit here on youtube or aome of the ingame interactions. Expecially the ingame interactions gives interesting/fun/cute interactions between champions/characters
I think we got Arcane because of get jinxed video that was the first time riot did something like that and when they say how the fan liked it, they did the show
first time seeing your channel, and i got to say i'm suprised you made all those vids about hidden details and stuff and was worried you might say something that's obviously wrong, to us LOL players that is, hopefully you got everything you said right hahaha. Also, hoping you react to more LOL content, the lore is so creative and diverse, compared to the other regions of the world, piltover and zaun are pretty mild. edit: regarding the robots, there are actually robots in piltover, it's just that in arcane, the timeline is different, in the game/lore, jinx, vi and everyone else are in their 20s and 30s
The robots are more of placeholders lol tend to think of them as enforcers. The company prolly didn’t want to animate people getting torn up by jinx haha
so, up to my knowledge - isn't much either - the second video had nothing to do with eigher Riot-lore nore the league of legends chars lore - it looks like it was only a promotion video for a short-time ingame event where they put randomly 3 chars in new skins in...
you're basically right... this was promo for series of skin and rare League PVE game mode... but there exist few other skin series with own lore based on some alterantive universe principe... if we will talk about Jinx then she have some alternative lore in Star Guardian universe (she's sane and in love with orher girl) boring stuffs... xD
I really enjoyed you watching that for the first time. It really is impressive that while they did fill in the blanks, the Arcane writers also did their best to keep the character faithful for the fans, for the original creator of Jinx, and even for something like this video made 9 years ago. It made re-watching this video feel a lot more powerful than what you would expect. Also I gotta say, I found it a little amusing that when the video ended and you didn’t feel like speculating on something you didn’t know, you just ended the video. Many other content creators would just talk just to talk or would overreact to appeal to League fans, but you were just like, “eh, I have nothing related to Arcane to say so I’m just going to stop here”. Nothing wrong with trying to fill space as an entertainer though of course, but there’s also something likeable about being straightforward and open like that. Again, I enjoyed this reaction!
Haha thanks a lot, I appreciate it, I really don't like forcing to speak when I feel like I have nothing of essence to offer, did my share of videos like that and I hated it each time xD so while it was great to watch it I don't think I had anything interesting to add. 🙏
League Of Legends lore and world is so huge. It has so many characters and story. You can make so many books, animation series, movies vs. But unfotunatly I can't say good things for the game. I used to play it so much but I don't like the game anymore. I love one thing about the game is; its lore, stories, characters, world. Riots animataion videos, animations, musics( or soundtracks) getting a chance of live action movies, tv series. Riot doing it right and wonderful job just for these subjects, not for the game. Side note: Fortiche production is the same company that made Arcane and If I'm not remember wrong Get Jinxed music video is the first animation they made for league of legends. I loved your Arcane contents, you point everything so well. I can tell you will love league of legends world much more. And you are growing Ola :) I'm happy for you. 16.1k subscribers :)
Hi, I really appreciate your videos, it make me feel less alone about being completely fond of this show, I can’t help move on something else. I don’t remember if it was on one of your video or on another but I have seen one of it where someone said that, as nothing is written or shown in the show without reason, there could have an attack on an airship on the second season, as there is this dialogue between Powder and Mylo on the first episode (« One day, I am gonna ride one of those things » « and one day, I am gonna shoot one of them down »). I remembered this when I saw your video, on 3:20 there is an airship shot, so I am really impatient to see if this is something we will see or if this is just as a nod. PS : sorry if my english isn’t very good, hope it will be understandable ^^’
Thanks a lot and don't worry, your english is great :) that's a fantastic thought - I always wondered if one day that thing that Powder says might come true, when and where, it makes total sense now!
@@StopMeOh It’s funny because after having seen your videos I watched Arcane again (and again and again and I think I am lost in it haha ^^’ ), and I saw the rhino in the second episode, below the bed of Powder when the enforcer is looking for the gang. Everytime I discover new things, it’s wonderful ! ^^
It is even more remarkable to think that Arcane is not just one of the best written shows ever created. But it did it by building off the bones of a music video from years before it was written which only existed to introduce a knock off Harley Quinn into a MOBA game.
If you ever react to character stories in the League of Legends universe you should react to Necrit If you just want to watch Piltover and Zaun stories here's a playlist of stories only about Piltover and Zaun. th-cam.com/play/PLV-Itn_3j46i2QOVfo5ojizu4v1lNGDU_.html
I love this kind of content. I recommend not to watch Warriors videoclip though because it contains potential Arcane season 2 spoilers. Nothing mind-blowing though.
Great reaction, but i think you should avoid for now the skin-lines (alternative unverses) videos and focus on what is canon, to get more used to the world of Runeterra, their characters and what happened and whats is happening. To start the best are the seasons cinematic like Awaken, Warriors and The Call (there are more than this three).

Noted!
This is the reason I even looked at LoL. Jinx will always be my favorite. BTW the song is from DJerv, the band who used to be Animal Alpha. One of the bands that did music for Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters.
I like Odyssey Jinx because at least there's an alternate universe where she's happy and has friends.
Oh wow. After all these countless deep dives in jinx, you still hadn't watched this. This was what made Jinx popular way back then.
Yeah I was always somehow basing it all on Lol wikia and Arcane itself but now I plan to take a deep dive!
If you want to know more about the lore then check out Necrit's videos. What he doesn't know, isn't worth knowing.
This was a dream, those where likely training dummies she imagined as guards.
In game, her pistol has a shock effect. Hoping it gets developed in arcane.
I think we got Arcane because of get jinxed video that was the first time riot did something like that and when they say how the fan liked it, they did the show
I read your name as “Stop Me Ho” thought I’d share
@@natecameron2044 that's fair 😂
Stop Me Oh Amazing Video Today!!😎🙏❤️
Hehehe, Get Jinxed was how Jinx got officially introduced.
Every time a character gets a new "Outfit" in LOL it is from another dimension. This is NOT the same Jinx you know.
Great reaction Ola💞The Odyssey characters reminds me of the Borderlands characters in outer space🙃Very cool 🙂Thanks so much Ola! Have a great day!
Love it!! ❤️❤️
I'm always here too if you need help with the compiled playlists for the rest of Runeterra lore!
@@Archangl I won't hesitate to accept the help. 😉👍
first time seeing your channel, and i got to say i'm suprised you made all those vids about hidden details and stuff and was worried you might say something that's obviously wrong, to us LOL players that is, hopefully you got everything you said right hahaha.
Haha glad I got it right then, yeah I am very excited to post more, in fact there's one lined up for this weekend!
This felt like my literature teacher trying to find meaning in the most random things
Lol sorry I do be that way
The robots are more of placeholders lol tend to think of them as enforcers. The company prolly didn’t want to animate people getting torn up by jinx haha
Lmaoo
Przez chwilę myślałam, przez akcent czy jesteś z Francji, a po chwili zobaczyłam polskie książki w tle.
so, up to my knowledge - isn't much either - the second video had nothing to do with eigher Riot-lore nore the league of legends chars lore - it looks like it was only a promotion video for a short-time ingame event where they put randomly 3 chars in new skins in...
you're basically right... this was promo for series of skin and rare League PVE game mode... but there exist few other skin series with own lore based on some alterantive universe principe... if we will talk about Jinx then she have some alternative lore in Star Guardian universe (she's sane and in love with orher girl) boring stuffs... xD
League of Legends Warriors.
For sure!!
16.1k subscribers :)
that's exactly why we need that Riot's MMO soon as possible... xD
yes, thanks a lot, I really see so much potential in making these LoL based analysis as well :)
Have you done the Arcane Music Video?
Hi, I really appreciate your videos, it make me feel less alone about being completely fond of this show, I can’t help move on something else.
I don’t remember if it was on one of your video or on another but I have seen one of it where someone said that, as nothing is written or shown in the show without reason, there could have an attack on an airship on the second season, as there is this dialogue between Powder and Mylo on the first episode (« One day, I am gonna ride one of those things »
« and one day, I am gonna shoot one of them down »).
@@edbond4364 absolutely same, every single time haha
It is even more remarkable to think that Arcane is not just one of the best written shows ever created. But it did it by building off the bones of a music video from years before it was written which only existed to introduce a knock off Harley Quinn into a MOBA game.
wait until they show zed's story
So, whos Papa in this context, Vander or Silco?
If you ever react to character stories in the League of Legends universe you should react to Necrit
If you just want to watch Piltover and Zaun stories here's a playlist of stories only about Piltover and Zaun.

@@beastmonger4821 SHUT UP XD 🥊
I love this kind of content. I recommend not to watch Warriors videoclip though because it contains potential Arcane season 2 spoilers. Nothing mind-blowing though.
I live for season 2 spoilers xDD though I probably know what you mean
@@StopMeOh Then it's alright 🤣 just wanted to warn you.
@@kaijingarou6526 thank you, I appreciate it!!
Will do, thanks!
1:27 Good for you, keep it that way 😂. Love that song though 🤘
Whose here in 2024
"Who are these monkeys" lmao they are animals, hangging on a "ZOO" gate XD
OMG! I'm really happy you didn't stop at "League Of Legends", and you added the word "lore" to the end of that sentence! 🤣I am very happy you added the word "lore" to that sentence!
