- Dan Gallagher interviews Philip Anselmo & Dimebag Darrell on the Power Hour (October, 1990).
This was Pantera's earliest interview with the band on network TV, and you'll notice that there's just a clip from this during the Volume 3: Watch It Go home video, right before they play the video for Cowboys From Hell.
Here's a chunk of the interview. - เพลง

Talking about hair styles, do you know a dude called Layne Staley?
@@lukash.p.6631 that dude had a lot of hairstyles in a short period of time like 1988-1998,just ten years and 99-2002 I imagine it was the same as 98
Phil "you know" Anselmo
Ravenwing he says “you know” almost as much as Jim Root from Slipknot
Better than “like” 🧐

He from the New Orleans that’s how we talk in the city
@@HadhiFitt I'm glad Phil got clean. He was fu$ked up for a long time.
Phil before he started sounding like a cruise ship horn
Underrated
Fuck dude I literally laughed out loud at this! 😂
I don't know dude, he sounds pretty much the same here even 30 years ago. Then again, I'm pretty sure he and Dime were both drunk here. Lol
Hilariously accurate, not gonna lie....
@@footlongfabo me too i went HEH HEH HEH without proper warning
That energy of dimebag was so pure and real he will missed for ever and ever
Yepp... R.I.P Dimebag.... 🤘💖
His hair his guitar, he was born for it
Agreed, a guy I’d love to have a beer with or just chat in general. But how does nobody ever mention that about Phil? I’ve always thought he was such a genuine, down to earth, humble and respectful dude. His music and lyrics are aggressive but seems like a good soul. Just ignore “good friends and a bottle of pills”.... lol
That is one well fed pirate

Is that interviewer for real? He looks like he grabbed a few things from a dress up box!
His name is Dan but I can't remember his last name. This is an interview from much music in Toronto. That guy is such a fucking fake.
Actually now I remember. It's Dan Gallagher. Big fuckin guy. 6ft5. But phoney as all vjs
I was wondering too. I think it's a costume he threw together . Ya it's hilarious.
hahahahahah you made me crack up so bad
It was the 90s man
How cool Dimebag was, such a funny easygoing guy, not taking himself very serious
I had the privilege of seeing them 3 times in their prime in the 90's.
I have seen a shit ton of metal show's since.
In the end, no one has been able to change the words since then coming out of my mouth of,
The best show I've seen?
Hands down, PANTERA!!!
When ever I left their show, I was always mentally and physically exhausted. And I'm not talking physically, just because of the pit, or whatever. Seen them in Minneapolis with Sabath, in general seating, same result. They put every ounce of energy and passion that 4 humans could possibly give for 2 hour's, that it left you fucking exhausted. And if it didn't, then you were not paying attention, and that is factual. Love them, hate them, didn't know them? When you left their show, you new who they were, and what they were about. Chemistry like no other.
In their prime, before the heroin.
Sad!
I love his Hair
Which one?
tbh probably both. I've never seen anyone with a mane as incredible as dimebag tho, I would kill to have hair like his
@@thetayeti right!? I was thinking the same exact thing, Dime's hair is legendary
ThetaYeti Phil long hair to one side looks weird to me lol
Whose? Dime's of course ;)
I never knew John Candy ever interviewed Pantera.
Yeah, he looks like John Candy meets Macho Man Randy Savage
Louie Anderson
Phil was talking like a California stoner from the eighties
KMac interviews Pantera - now I've seen everything.
I miss Dime so damn much!
We all do, it doesn't get much better than Dime 🤘
These guys were my boys!
Lost a part of myself when Dime was taken from us.
RIP, Dime and Big Vin. PANTERA 4EVER! \m/
Dime wanted to talk but Phil stole the moment lol
That tends to happen in the interviews. He also tended to praise his bandmates and give them credit where it is due.. But he'd also hog the mic so to speak
When you're the front man you gotta be the front man
@@moshfreak900 AMEN.
@@moshfreak900 phuck Phil, Dime was the leader
Didnt know Louie Anderson was such a metalhead.
I was gonna use Sam Kennison but u right!
The glory days! 👊👑

You're everywhere, I think we got some common Favourites huh lol, man love these guy's

Dimebag hair needs to be inducted to the rock and roll hall of fame!!
Hell NOOOOOOO!!!!!! Fuck the hall of fame!!!! They don’t deserve him .
Phil Anselmo looks so badass with hair
2:16 I just looked at dimebag and raised my eyebrows at the same time he did.
Lmao..
Dimebag “Guts” Darrell
I was about to comment this exactly. Damnit you beat me too it!
Great interview clip. The interviewer made me laugh. What on earth does he look like!? Phil Anselmo's tattoo was way before its time. RIP DD. Such a tragedy for the whole genre to lose that genius so young.
He looks like a big Sam Kinnison fan.
The host was Dan Gallagher, who unfortunately passed away in 2001. He had a pretty funny tv gameshow up here in Canada called Test Pattern th-cam.com/video/Pic3zZxynzM/w-d-xo.html
He looks like a gay pirate.
This is gold.
Thanks for share it.
Amazing. Throwing this up on the pantera subreddit asap.
You cute af tho.

You mean you have the same dad?
Legends in the making. Takes me back to my senior year of high school......
I was at the show they played at that night. Thursday night from what i remember, was working afternoon shift and left work early to go. Was blown away at the sound, guitar was so heavy and awesome. To top it off Rob Halford showed up and they played a couple songs off British Steel. Hardly anyone was their, Rock'n'Roll heaven....
I wish I had been there instead of being a 6 year old
ha! Awesome! This was the interview that got me into Pantera as a kid :)
The only solace from dimes death, besides Nathan Gales instant execution, is seeing how many people miss him and still love him, and aren’t afraid to show it.
No way.ever.
Thanks for sharing! This is a rarity!
I hope you will put out the whole interview one day but thanks for this chunk right now! :D Great stuff!
If I ever find it I will. For the time being, this is all I have.
Dime and that epic mane of his. What a guitar god. 🤘🤘
Phil's smile at 1:45 is something he hasn't done since he started heroin in the mid 90's and his soul turned black.

later
''Heck, We're on the air heck''
