Bulldozer Swale

Swales can be dug by almost anything, from a hand shovel to a Bulldozer. Here I try to use a Bulldozer to cut a swale. Unfortunately it doesn't go as expected.hopefully you will learn from my mistakes. I believe a bulldozer can be used effectively. next time I will know how to do it better.

I think it's great man. All you need, like you said, is to catch water. Mother Nature will smooth it all out in no time. The fact that you got a 1000 ft water catchment system into place in about an hour is fantastic. It makes for a good demonstration. When people see how fast it was, how inexpensive :) , and how beautiful it turns out to be, they will get excited and do this themselves. Great work!

I really should not be complaining. It's just funny how after the guy left I realized how easy it would have been to do it better. I really am very happy with it. Live and learn. Those watching this will see how easy it can be to creat water catchment but also learn from my mistake and get it done even better and easier when they do it.

I had the same issue today, accidentally cutting the swell the wrong way, clean up recut tomorrow. God willing

its a good start, clean out by hand should perfect it. will kit for the updates.

The fact is, considering the swale is over 1000 ft and we had the dozer for about on hr I really can't complain. I needed to be able to move water from the flood gates to the other end of the property. This does that so I'm really pretty happy to see it at this point. A little hand work and it'll be fine.
