Okay this is so random, we had 17 of us there in the game store (*like a convention centre is right) and we were having a beyblade tournament there. One of the guys in the group came across your video and sent it to all of us lol.
I haven't been there since 2013. I need to drop in and drop a few dollars there. I used to be a regular because i lived nearby from 2005 to 2014. I see a lot of the same stores are still there from over a decade ago. I've spent MUCH money at that Geovanni men's boutique. I'm definitely going there when I visit the mall. Thanks so much for the memories!
Back in the day before internet, malls were popular shopping destinations. These days you don't see as many around. They demolished the San Jacinto Mall which was over in Baytown, TX two years ago. I remember my mom took me to the San Jacinto Mall back on the day it first opened & I was a little kid at the time. It was the place & had many fun memories visiting it. Later in about 2004 or so, it slowly began to downsize. It was on Garth Rd & I-10 on the southwest side of the intersection.
@chillythefox8548 now all thaz left are the sign, the palm trees over by where Macy's rear entrance use to be, & some of the parking lot light poles. That whole property is fenced off.
Went there regularly as a boy w my parents. I was about 8 and it was the early 70’s we went to foleys etc and then would go to Whataburger which was close to the mall.
I used to go to this mall here and there. Now I just avoid it in general. I really don’t like going to Almeda Mall. The mall probably won’t improve because of the side of town that it’s in, not the best in my opinion.
Havent been here since the early 2000s. Glad to see it's still somewhat active
