I am American but will be watching every game of this series. Great rivalry, and I hope whoever wins goes on to take it all. Has been too long since a team up North hoisted the Cup!
Litterally just went to game one. Not a true fan of either team. Just good fcken hockey. That it was going to be boring until it became a one goal game. What a night.
Love them or hate them, you will always get your dollars worth watching the Oilers play. Maybe you can say that about the Avalanche, but the oilers always bring a little extra drama to the playoffs.
As a Rangers fan, I’m kind of annoyed that the NYR v CAR series will be on the same nights as the Battle of Alberta. Esp if any game goes to OT, I don’t want to miss a minute of Flames-Oilers
Edmonton plays great against Colorado. Calgary is a great team. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Colorado wins against either team. That said, Colorado is scary good.
Out of 5 battles of Alberta, Edmonton has won 4, and the one win for Calgary, came with Smith, Edmonton's D, scoring on his own net. Meaning, Calgary needs to take up another sport, like soccer, or baseball, maybe an early golf season?
I am not interested in hockey and fanning over sports, but why do hockey players fight? It doesn't seem to happen in most other sports. Even if one doesn't get any injuries, it is still a mean thing to do, and it looks painful.☹️😭 I feel sorry for them; even many players have missing teeth from this violence.
@@jourdeflamme8235 Nah, not likely. The Flames had the ultimate test against the rookie Oettinger who played 100x better than Smith OR Quick. The Stars were being dominated the entire series, and would have been swept if not for Oettinger. Smith has a habit of letting easy shots trickle in, and the Flames players know that (its one of the reasons they got rid of him). The Flames are the bigger, faster, and higher scoring team. It'll take a miracle for the Oilers to win this series.
@@inizilla_fk7 what are you smoking?! Hahaha have you seen Lucic and Zadorov? Glendening didn’t even played on game 7 due the injury he suffered on game 6, not get penalized when it’s clearly on the head, but Hakanpaa gets penalty for hitting the midgets G.Whatever!! Questionable officiating big time and the refs were came from Calgary!!
It was Edmonton vs the refs in game 6. What are you talking about? Gary doesn't like Canadian teams. Look at that awful interference call in the Taranna game.
How do you not put the goalie brawl ?
As a Sharks fan, I'm seriously considering going to these games just to watch good hockey. Hopefully Canadians will embrace me
goodluck getting tickets less than 1000$ lol
We would love to have you! Let’s have fun and enjoy this wooo!
As long as you cheer for the flames
You’ll definitely get your money’s worth should you choose to go!! Both the in and out-of-game experience
@@mr.watts69 BOOOOOOO nah I heard he’s buying an oilers jersey

Where's the mike Smith Vs Cam Talbot fight

Gonna be a magical series... Love/Hate relationships are always the best in sports...)))
Didn't even put in the brawl w/ goalie fight

I'm recording all the games lol
Canes fan here and I agree. I've heard much hype around this rivalry and never realized it was this much to it.
This series is going 7
Edmonton is beat up hahaahha injuries infested. Good luck. Flames are healthy and flying. Oh and they have Sutter behind the bench
Look, we make hockey legends in Edmonton. And Calgary, well...they have the Stampede, les we forget.
Make hockey legends and waste hockey legend careers. No?
lol you mean you draft legends 1st overall because you suck, when was the last time Calgary had a 1st overall pick? Never
Your comments and joke attempts get worse and worse. Post once and stop, man. Seriously. You're giving failer fans a bad name.
Whoever wins the battle of Alberta ...will probably lose to Colorado

I think this one's going the distance: Flames in 7
A rivalry so hated that not even the respective teams mascots are safe!!!
😂😂
Atleast CBC doesn't have to lie about sports lol
They lie about everything else.
Who thought it was a good idea to have a someone commentate over this
1:45 Steve smith looked 35 at 23. Hey Alexa play whats my age by blink-182

Go flames go! So much fun!
Oilers in 5
Oilers in 6!
Flames in 6, in OT
seems heavily one sided but if this is what you need to feel better about your team have at it

Violence in sports is amazing. Violence anywhere else sucks
I'm guessing you're an Edmonton fan.
Flames in 4
Never in 4 😄
Yeah, out in 4! Go Oilers!!
Flames are the better team, I'm just glad they didn't lose another heart breaker because a goalie decided to play god

There's a reason the Flames traded away Smith... To Edmonton 😉
I don't hate the Oilers or the fans! I just want to see my friends cry 😂.
Calgary in 6, or 5 if Smith is himself in the series...
missed almost all the good stuff. this was a terrible collection
Calgary in 6
Oilers in 1……wait what?
Rip Lanny
Lanny is still alive
McDavid's career will be shorter because of that injury.
nose bleeders over 200 lol
NHL wanted this rivalry no wonder officiating were awful against Dallas.
They were in Dallas favour big time! Still waiting for Benn and Pavelski to get suspended for some blatant intent to injure
???
