When i was taking my GP9 apart, i actually didn't use a saw, iv just took some razor blade knife and slowly slide it on the back where screen is glued to

Thank you so much again for this detailed video! I was afraid to do it myself but after I've seen your very nice explanation, I've decided to give it a try. It worked very well. I had a slight moment of sweat when was not initially turning on but it turned out that the ribbon cable provided in the kit is a bit too big and one of the connector popped out when I put the case togheter. I've added some tape to prevent from happening.

This is such an excellent tutorial mate! Naked GoPros are a must have for cinewhoops and smaller quads. It's an expensive process making one, so thank you for such a detailed instructional video. I've been on the edge of doing this and you've just made it so much clearer and an easier DIY. 🙏👌

You can add conformal coating on the boards also as now it is not waterproof + have a fan when being used to capture waterfall or something related to water and moisture. Now you got the perfect naked camera for everything.
hey! thansk a ton! this helped me a lot during the proces. however your suggestion about running gopro labs is a MUST and necessary. i didn't do it as i thought i would not use it. but i had the same issue as someone down in the comments. an error after the whole assembly: battery to low.. so i had to get the battery case/battery side button and screen back on to flash gopro labs on it.. so maybe you could add a note in the video that states its necessary.. either way thanks for the video!

20:57 You are so true when you decided to take the shiny frame part behind the screen. This is because GoPro 11 utilizes LCD screen, not OLED. LCD has backlights, where you see the white back part of the screen. It actually translucent when the LCD is turned on. The lights will be reflected through the back and bounced back to the shiny frame part behind it thus increase the brightness and make the screen looks nicer. Same concept as LCD in laptops where they paste an Aluminium Sticker sheet on the screen assembly. 😊 nice job!

I have taken my gopro 9 apart but in the process the ribbon cable came out of the lens and i can't seem to figure out how to get it back in a small black strip came out at the same time . Any tips. Thanks ian
a few tips: in the manual they use heatsinks on more chips. also when applying the board to the case it seems that the heatsink is to thin compared to the board, it doesnt touch the case.
its a thermal pad not a heatsink, you can buy differen size and thickness if you want to get a perfect fit, Thermal Arctic has nice thermal pads

I have the GEPRC naked 11 and love it. I wish there was a better way to manage it remotely from my phone. I'm under impression that we can't upgrade the firmware, so the new app doesn't connect and preview video feed. Any info on this?

Very interesting video. So the original USB socket has two cables? Below the lower cable are nine holes in the case, three by three. Why? Is this something like pressure equalization or cooling?
I'm getting a low power warning on the front screen on the GP10, the record button also doesn't work for video/photo/timelapse using the button or the app. Any suggestions?

Don't know if you saw, but they have a case for the 12 now too. I don't think the internals differ from the 11 but the 12 has HDR which is huge in my real estate experience
Internals should be the same layout 🤙
I could deff see how the HDR makes it better for interior window pulls and a more even exposure.

Thank you for this video, very detailed and very well explained. I am going to attempt to do one soon. Question though: after it has been stripped does it still have WiFi or Bluetooth? I am asking if I can still connect it to my phone or all the settings needs to be changed via GoPro Labs?
The GoPro still has WiFi/BT connectivity so you can adjust settings and see cam preview through the GoPro app. Range is limited because of the CNC case but if your phone is close it works fine.
Just make sure you connect your phone to the app before disassembling 👍

just on the part where you remove the screen at 20:19 could you not leave the screen in place, and just pop it out in the bracket. saves removing it and and then putting it back in no?

24:19 Guys, if want to replicate this, you can wipe the LCD first with the cloth provided. You don't want fingerprints on the screen that could be visible and can't be removed anymore after you attach the glass panel on top of it
How can i update the camera because when I tried to update it on the app i couldn't because of the battery low problem, did you update your gopro already?

Hello! Thank you very much for the video! I assembled my Geprc Nked GoPro 10 according to these instructions, everything went fine until the last moment. Disassembly and reassembly was done carefully. But after connecting to the battery, the camera does not turn on, only the fan works. Could this be due to a bad BEC or cable from Geprc? Where to start looking for the cause of the problem?
I checked all the connections on the motherboard, everything is connected and fixed in the connectors.

when disassembling the case the speaker is removed. I know the Flywoo case keeps the microphone though
@@TRONCATFPV I put the microphone from the GoPro 11 into the geprc case. It works good. But you can hear the fan
I have a lot of trouble with image disturbances on the videos from the Flywoo Gopro 11. All 6S quads cause image disturbances due to the voltage peaks. Flywoo says I should connect another BEC between Lipo and Gopro. Very annoying!

Already solved it ty.
Didn´t install the Labs Firmware beforehand.
Had to rebuild the GoPro (battery + case, power-button, display) and flash Labs.
After I showed the TUSB QR-Code to the GoPro it accepted the power.
What size packs are you using? I tried 1200 4s on my 2.5 inch but it feels like it’s too heavy and motors are screaming
On this build I normally use GNB 1100mah 6s, average about 8-10 minutes.
I recently did his 6s betafpv build and use the RDQ 650hv and get around 6min busting quick, so im sure just real estate cruising speeds I'd get more.. But even the ovonic 1000mah 6s are bigger and I still get decent flight time considering...

Are you still able to connect to your gopro via WiFi? I've seen others solder a 31mm piece of wire for a WiFi antenna.
yessir, I haven't had any issues connecting to WiFi with this case.

I followed this video and the go pro works but they footage is very low quality with black bands and waves. Are there any settings in camera I should change?
Make sure you have 10-bit turned on. Also, if you’re seeing black banding it probably means your refresh rate is off.
Under settings play with 50hz and 60hz and see if it makes a differemce

yes, the fan in the back prevents any overheating. Been filming 5K 30 with this setup with no issues 👍

it doesn't unfortunately. I'm pretty sure there are adapters out there that fit those ND filters tho!

Hey guys, is it possible to safely power the gopro naked 11 from a 6S for extended periods of time not on the drone? I have the GEPRC hero 11 and want to use it to film an hour or two at a time. Is there any way to do this safely? I know you can't monitor battery voltage after it's connected. Is there a solution to power this any other way with a power supply that meets the voltage requirements similar to the battery?
As long as you can shove 24V into the Gp11, you should be fine. I would keep my eye on the batt voltage to make sure you don't kill the battery. A 1300 mah batttery will supply 1.3 amps for 1 hour. The GoPro doesn't care where the power comes from as long as it's not overly rippled DC (which a battery will not be) and falls within the camera's accepted voltage limits. (ripple is what's introduced into DC voltage when it's converted from AC as in a power supply.)
If it won't take the full 24V, use two pins to select a different hole on the balance lead. If you have a multimeter, put the ground probe to the black wire and test each red connector until you find an acceptable voltage from the pack. Mark that hole and use it and the ground. The ground wire from the balance lead and the next hole will give you 3.8V, and so on ...7.6, like you're adding cell voltages. Pick one to fit the camera.
Do you think it’s a must to add a fan to the GoPro 10 naked ?
I’ve had issues with the GP10 overheating when filming in 5k.
From what I remember, it was able to handle 4k without a fan though.

I actually JUST put an O3 unit on a QAV pro 2.5" frame and will be testing it out soon. I plan on having a side by side video between that and the hero 11 👍
UPDATE below - I'm getting a low power warning on the front screen on the GP11 and then it shuts down after 2 minutes of running. I'm running it from a fully charged 6s lipo. Any suggestions?
If you have GPlabs installed... go into the more options and select the "TUSB" and enable it... if that doesn't work wire it to an external 5v 2.5a bec

@@Tekinkus_fpv yes you have to the latest version of GoPro Labs flashed. I ended up hooking the old battery backup to the board then flashed it.

Can you explain me: you film in 60FPS 8x7 flat, i know, but how do you do it in post, why film in 60 instead of 30? you upload in 30FPS so you render in 30, but if I do that it slows down myfootage, and if i speed it up it doesnt looks the same...I really want to understand that! Thank you so much!
Might be something with your editing software. I throw 60 fps footage on a 30 fps timeline and it does not make it slow motion. It just removes frames basically to make the 60fps 30fps. But then I can slow down 50% and have no frame drop.

You and me both, in the last couple months I’ve had to replace two and currently have another one sitting on my desk I have to send back.
I really wish someone would come out with a naked case for the 11 mini. I’ve reached out to flywoo/GEPRC and from what I’ve been told it’s not possible.
I don’t completely buy it.
I’ve contemplated taking one apart just to see what the internals look like.
If anything comes out for a “naked 11 mini” I’ll be all over it and will have a video on it 🤙

How much weight did you save?
Also, why use the front screen, Isn’t that extra weight without a real useful purpose?
Full sized GoPro 11 weighs 127g, naked GP11 is only 46. so you save about 80g
Front Screen only weighs a couple grams and imo is worth it to have. quick way to make sure you're in the right preset 👍

@@dumitrumalai4114 I think the GEPRC case is the best available. I had a namelessRC & Flywoo one but the quality/durability just wasn't there.
I've crashed with the GEPRC case a few times now and the GoPro holds up great. IMO the $50 difference is worth it.
Can you not change the settings of the go pro using the gopro app?

What do you do to reconnect if it gets disconnected from your phone? I had it paired, then installed gopro labs and forgot to repair it before dismantling. 😅
to re-pair it with your phone you just need the back screen connected which is thankfully pretty easy.
I just upgraded my phone recently and had to do this too.
@@TRONCATFPV Thanks dude, I saw something that said to reconnect everything.. Also, Geprc recommends installing the older 1.16 gopro labs firmware to prevent incorrect voltage display. Does this matter? I'm wondering if it will cause the gp to shut off from voltage sags.

Hi, I forgot to update the camera with Gopro LAbs in my old gopro11, and I decased it, now, I cannot use it because always says that is low of battery and I cannot update it even with the Quik app. Any walkarround to solve the issue?

Thanks God! I already solved it. You need to conect only the "button" board with the rib cable and the battery case witht he rib cable. (no need the main screen), then download the goprolab firmware into an SD card and will be uupdated. Problem solved.

If you change your phone how to connect already naked camera?
In order to connect a new phone to a naked GoPro, you will need to re-attach the rear screen to setup a new app connection.
