The thermal camera is just a tool helping us to find a component getting hot quickly but it is not mondatory because we can working properly withouth it thanks
Thanks for one more nice video! Just one question to ask... You removed a shorted cap from there and you didn't replace it with a new same value. How are you sure the circuit still don't have a problem that caused that failure and how do you know that the specific circuit will work e.g wifi card?
Hey Sorin. Guess it's quiet with no repairs now. May I suggest you dust off some of your too difficult too repair motherboards and do a review video explaining what you checked and why you stopped short of fixing them. You never know, you may fix 1or2.
I just got the same laptop same problem right now to repair. It's my niece property and she need it for her school, so I volunteer to trying to repair it. Some capacitors doesn't have the voltage that supposed to be ... I dunno if it's only that or there somethings else.... I've tried the IPA spreading method and there's no place who is hot Just hope that I'll be able to repair it ...
teacher i am the latest to advise you but you could sticke some capton tape on the chip and position it faster on the motherboard the solder few legs and then continue as you do

But it is true, i get payed like a worker in a factory. the main problem i think is the fact they treat you like a slave. if you work good they give you to follow 1000 patients, if you work verry good they will give you 1500 patients. They try to get from you the maximun, so they do not pay for another physician. But what happens if the overall patients dubbles. you cant follow 3000 patients. thats how it work, less flexibility. they do not want to form more doctors, but use the same they have and make them work harder.

the best lesson of this curse : before removing chips and over stuff, tcheck all power rails il one of them shorted to ground, inject power on short, precisely coils one by one in this case :)
Have some questions. 1. The Super IO and power management chip are not the same chip? 2. If power management chip controls mosfets for power suply, does the same chip starts that power supply or SuperIO does it?
So this laptop boasts a CPU of 4 cores meaning 8 threads with built in 11 GPU Cores so yes, this does have vega graphics and this means zero graphics card and due to them being on the same chip. One chip for both cpu and GPU meanign Rysen 5 + RX Vega 11. Found here on official web page of the 2400g and this is one of a range but they all have 4 core CPU and 11 GPU cores: www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-5-2400g . This is why AMD laptops will be getting thinner. Look at the shape of the CPU also, it isn't square.

Thermal cameras are expensive than petrol. Mostly you dont need a thermal camera WHEN you know what you are doing bro.

Vega is AMD's Ryzen integrated GPUs , the equivalent of Intel's HD Graphics.

I have the same laptop with a GTX1050 4GB. They made this laptop both with and without dedicated graphics and used the same pcb

Not only a money problem. Sysem has to let the scientist do the scientist, so they do not do other works to maintain themselves.
