Wow!! My Honda salesman literally showed me nothing but where to sign. After months of thinking it was possessed I figured out the key fobs were making my seat move, lol. I just learned today I could roll windows down with them! Thanks Jason!!!

Like others have said, I wasn't explained ANY of this stuff when I bought my 2013 Honda Accord - super appreciated! I had NO idea there was a hidden key in there!! I was also given a separate remote start fob - wish they were one in the same fob, but it's ok. Now I just need to know how to program the remote start so it runs longer than 10 minutes because it's not long enough of a warm up in my cold Montana winters!
Thank Your for the comment, if memory serves me right, if you repeat the starting process on the remote start fob, that should add 10 more mins. So if you let the car run for 9 mins, repeat and you should get another 10 *from that point (you can only do that 1 time)

+HondaPro Jason - Jason I have a 2015 Honda Civic 4 door and I could not get the windows to roll down by double pressing - and hold on the second.
I picked up a 2017 v6 touring and was quite sad that I couldn't use my fog lights with the Drls then I realized my headlights were all led and i got over it lol

@Guru Depends on the country but here in the U.S it is the trunk open button and the panic button is also on the fob
@HondaPro Jason I have a 2013 accord coupe V6 if I get the remote engine starter will I have to carry 2 key fobs?

Thank you for the quick tutorial. I just got a Honda Fit, and managed to activate my alarm system. I think what I didn't do correctly was press the Start button twice for accessories. I only pushed the button once while sitting in the car with the keys, and no foot on the brake. You might want to make note of that on an updated video. Thanks again for all the cool tips though, this helped me a lot otherwise =]

thanks for the helpful tip however I have the HCH 2014 and the rolling down windows feature didn't work. Is that something that I have to program it into my key fob?

Thank you Jason - Extremely helpful. Do you have a video for the remote engine starter for the Accord (not the same fob as this video)? I have a couple of questions. The car starts remotely with the RS-13AC Keyfob, but once I unlock the doors, the car stops and I cannot start it with only this remote starter fob, I have to have the regular fob from this video to start and drive the car. I am thinking there has to be a way to program the remote engine starter key fob. Surely Honda would not make me carry 2 Fobs?

Hey Jason, thanks for the video. Was wondering if this can be an added feature at all to other cars. I recently bought a 2013 Civic Si Sedan and would love to be able to have the smart key feature for opening and closing the windows / sunroof as I live in Florida and its always hot.
I learned that I can shut it down to JUST ACC power today! Hold the auto transmission shifter button in AND press the start/stop button. COOL!

Good video. One question: if the car is started and the smart key is then not present, is there any time or distance limit for which the car (2015 Honda Accord EX-L) can be driven?

good info on honda's Jason. Now question, can you or anyone tell me is there is any way to record CD's to the hard drive of a 2015 Accord without the skipping. Obviously I'm referring to a mixed CD... Please help.. Also, Any easier way to enter information into the NAVI because using the NAVI is a missing. Most times I use my phone because it's just easier.
This was really helpful. I'm wondering about the immobilizer device and the Honda SmartKey.
I went to start my 2013 Accord without the keyfob nearby and the dash lit up with what looked like every alert lamp, along with a "Power is On" message, but the car would not start. The brake depressed and the steering wheel locked. When I realized the key fob was missing, I brought it back with me into the car to try these things you showed in the video to start the car. Nothing has worked. I even replaced the fob battery. No go.
Is there an immobilizer reset procedure you can refer me to?
(BTW, we had just driven the car with two stops an hour or so earlier, so I don't think the starter would give out without an indicator during start ups just previously.)

My accord 2016 Ex-l cant remote start and when i pressed the lock button on the driver door handle it wont lock the car.
It only had 43k miles on dashboard.

Nice tips - thanks. You mention at the end of the video that you can start the car and then leave with the keys and lock it. On my 2013 Honda Accord, once the car is started and I leave the vehicle with the smart key (in the starting the car on a cold day and let it warm up a bit scenario), I can't seem to then lock the doors from outside the vehicle. Pressing the lock buttons or the button on the door handle does nothing in that scenario. Should that work, or is that the feature trying to stop the keys from being locked in the car preventing me from doing that?
Do you have any idea when they are going to realease some intormation about the 2015 pilot? If so please let me know thanx!

Jason. Great videos. We have a 2013 Honda accord that intermittently will not start. We have changed all the batteries. It will jump start, but turning out to be an unreliable car. Had the car for 3 months and it has happened 6 times. Suggestions?
Also our FOB's will not roll down the windows. Is there a menu feature to enable that?

i live in a place where it gets really cold in the winter, and im not sur if the push button start is ideal for extreme cold, when i push it will it always crank the engine enough for it to start on artic ice weather? With a key, i can crank it as long as needed, the way i see it its better than a button, no?... also, is there a way to start the car with that key in the fob instead of using the push button?

Could you update us on how to use that key on an accord EXL 2018. Looks like some features changed like the valet button.
@HondaPro Jason Is it possible to program a single Honda smart key to two different vehicles? It would be nice to only carry around one key for both Honda's instead of 2 separate smart keys. I would take one of the existing keys and get it programmed into the other car.

Hello, Is there anyway to close the windows and sunroof with the keyless? I kmow you can open them with it ans close them with the key on the door, but can you close it with out the key, just using the keyless remote???

does this work for the acura tl 2009 ? i just got it maybe a month ago, and ive come to my car 3 times where the windows were slightly opened, i was going to take it back to the dealer until some on told me it may be this, havent been to the car yet to test this out.

Hi Jason I have a 2007 Honda Stream with carries the same features as the accord, window roll down/up and the buttons on the doors and the trunk. Unfortunately my driver door and trunk button as stop allowing me to open the car they can lock the car but not open it, is there a fix for that please?
Hey Jason, I got a question for you. I need a Driver 2 key for my 2015 Accord bc I lost it. Can u buy a used fob online, buy a blank key, and have it rekeyed and reprogrammed by the Honda Dealership or a locksmith? Or do I have to take extra steps and have my key revirginized? Thanks!
