As an asian doctor in a European country across the Atlantic, I relate so much to Kevin’s experience and the difficulties we face as interviewees trying to put our accomplishments on the table. Would love to hear more about Kevin’s experiences :)
I'm so late to the game but I loved this episode so much! As an aspiring doctor currently in undergrad and also being raised by traditional Asian parents, I can relate to not being able to show off your accomplishments and sell yourself during interviews. I appreciate both of your perspectives and advice!
Loved hearing about Kevin’s journey! You always hear about how hard it is to get into med school, but I didn’t realize how complicated it really is! Thank you Kevin for sharing your insight on it. And as someone who has a lot of anxiety doing interviews, I would love to hear about how to be as confident as Miki is!! Can’t wait for the next ep :)
Great video as always! A small recommendation would be to put TH-cam chapters to the podcast. That way I can jump straight to the sections I saw on Instagram.
Great podcast. For those aspiring going to medical school and beyond I want to comment: Even though medical schools may differ in their subjective "ranking" you still learn the same principles and facts. Everyone takes the STEP exams and whether you're going to a top prestigious medical school or an average medical school (the exception here is MAYBE Caribbean medical schools, which are seen as different) you still learn the same subjects and at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Kevin, you're going to the same residency school I attended, haha.
I understand Kevin's struggle in High school since I didn't have the best GPA but I still made it to a private college in the long run. Good luck with residency Kevin🍀
Could y’all do a segment of studying habits and test taking strategies ?! I’m in nursing school and it’s not like I don’t wake up study eat “sleep” study, class, clinicals. I know my material but my biggest challenge is always narrowing it down to two of the most correct and always getting it wrong because I should’ve chose that.
Dont be jealous young lady😉. Instead celebrate Kevin. He is a humble person, he is not a boastful man. But he is confident in his gift. I for one am proud of Kevin
I was binge watching this episode and I really can relate to how difficult it is to apply into med school.I’m a MD-PhD student by the way from the Philippines
Great episode. Please cover the process of getting into a residency program and how being part of the top ten medical school helped. According to you, out of pre med, med school and residency which program was closer to your expectations.
Thank you you guys, like you said everyone has their own stories 😊 through any kind of journey in life. Always excited to hear you both 💕💕💕. Can’t wait for next episode 😊.
Was so amazong to hear about Kevin’s life too, I feel closer to you guys now! :)) So can a med school interviewer be an interviewer for more than one school each application cycle or can the job only be done at one medical school per cycle? I am wondering if an applicant can end up interviewing with the same interviewer at two different schools hahaha Even thinking about it gave me anxiety for some reason
Would you guys consider doing an episode (episodes!) in Mandarin? I am learning Mandarin and I think it would be interesting to always engage in certain topics in the language! ❤
Why do you seem to go against everything Kevin shares. I believe that the role of a good interviewer is to simply listen to the interviewee without making any judgments, particularly when the topic is their life and personal experiences. Clearly, you're making him feel uncomfortable, and some of your audiences as well. I usually enjoy your videos, but this one seems weird. ☹️
Well maybe she got so caught up with the Topic and didnt realised she kinda make the convo become competitive achievement between them 😂 it could happen bcs both of them is such a competitive person 😁
this video makes me sick. they chat about how good they are and they don't care about making a change to help others. I am glad we don't have SAT's and no more letter grades in med school.
Kev is just sharing his experience, and he clearly did work hard to get where he’s at and had his own struggles. I dont think his intention is to say he is better. And this video cant address everyones situations. I think he gives the reality and is well spoken about it. Everyone has their strengths and their stories. Making step pass fail now even med school classes this way just makes it harder to stand out. The eventuality is that if you really want something, you will continue to learn and adapt with the circumstances presented to you. There are talented people and there are also those who had to spend more time to hone their skills to move forward. Let’s appreciate kevin’s insight. He was not belittling. Anything worth doing doesnt come easy
I love this episode of getting to know Kevin, he is so smart and well spoken. I will also love to have a episode of just getting to know Miki!

love the podcast!
Really insightful. Loved listening and looking forward to more! #PowerCouple
Definitely need Miki to drop those interview tips!
I need medical school through the eyes of a bad student. I need to know there are people that are dumber than me making it through.
Waiting for the interview episode!!
You both have a podcast!?!?! Ahhhh! *immediately subscribes*
What school did Kevin go to?
Sassy 💅🏻

Miki looks a bit haggard and aged here
She does not look good with bangs
Rude!!
Even behind the makeup, it is obvious that men look much younger than women, even when the men were 3-5 years older 😂😂😂
