When I was just on Airbnb and Booking, my apartment was booked all the time. As I expanded on VRBO, Expedia, Trip Advisor, etc...my reservations went to almost nothing on Airbnb. Something happened to the algorithm.
Yeah Airbnb definitely likes it when your property has lots of availability. When you start getting a lot of bookings from other platforms they don't like that as much.
Great video but FYI all photographer are trained and re-touching and editing. You do absolutely not need to hire a separate editor to edit the photos. Real estate photographer and Airbnb photographer shoot HDR. This means they shoot 3 to 5 frames and those frames are combined to one frame for shot light room or adobe camera raw or photomatix or some other software. Professional like myself also adjust the images and brighten them and the colors and also paint in the area of the windows, etc. it is not necessary to hire an editor. In fact those editors are also photographers! They also use lens to straighten vertical lines in the shots and the tripod, so yes, please hi photographer the images look so much better that way and they make a place look magical! Step photographer to shoot twilight images they can insert a sunset and show your backyard string lights, etc. it can really look amazing to have some nice shots!
Yeah for sure, most photographers can do editing, although I always like to hire a separate editor for 2 reasons: 1) Photographers aren't always good at photoshopping things like the removal of an object that shouldn't have been in the frame, adding fire to a fire pit, adding Netflix to the TV screen, etc. For basic color correction, they're great, but for other stuff often not so great. 2) Editors on Fiverr are waaayyy cheaper than most photographers for editing work. It's an easy way to save a few hundred dollars so that I have more budget for extra photos, etc.
I'm an airbnb host with property in Jamaica. Hurricane Beryl left massive property damage to the yard. Our area is still without electricity and water. Our guests are asking for a refund. Are we covered, what should we do?
Never! I was worried about that as well, but the nice thing about StayFi is that your original network isn't removed. So that means guests can still access the wifi with a passcode if necessary (and it also means you don't need to reprogram any of your smart devices!)
@@james.svetecHow do you prevent neighbors from connecting to the StayFi and using your wifi? And have you had any complaints from past guests that you're spamming their email?
Yeah I feel ya! The trick is you gotta delete all the rooms and just put all the photos into the "Additional Photos" category. Then you can go to "All Photos" and arrange them yourself just like before :)
No, that's managed in your listing settings. All it'll do is get rid of the "Photo Tour" on Airbnb. So when someone browses through your photos, it'll look the way it used to before the recent update (ie. it won't break it down into a bunch of different rooms). I've found this to perform WAY better than the Photo Tour, as the Photo Tour often jumps from room to room in an illogical way. Not to mention that it doesn't allow you to highlight your best amenities early on in the photos.
Hi - I want to get the info you referenced regarding Besty AI if I liked and left comment (I did both :-) So how do I get that info please? #didwhatyouasked
Hi James, we are struggling big time with Airbnb and the whole hosting process. Your video is great! Would you possibly be able to give us a few pointers to get started? Our property is called Kapiti Sands, located on the Kapiti Coast, Paraparaumu Beach, New Zealand. Sorry to be a bother.
No bother! Have you checked out BNB Tribe? Honestly joining there would be the best way for me to help you! We can dive into it on one of the weekly community calls!
@@james.svetec Thank you so much. You really just got them a customer! Could you please tell me your experience with them? have you received any payouts ?
My goal is to provide a ton of value completely for free here on TH-cam so that those who want even more of my help can find me, and join if they see value in doing so :) You can check out the details on BNB Tribe right here: bnbmastery.com/bnb-tribe/
Not unless you’re planning on becoming a professional photographer. Learning amateur photography will still not be nearly good enough to fully optimize your listing.
I actually don’t make commissions on almost any of the products that I promote. I just use them myself and believe in them. I promote them because they’re genuinely super helpful to hosts!
This is literally the most insightful video I’ve seen on Airbnb in a long time.
Thanks! Appreciate you! Glad you like the video!
Ditto! This was excellent! Thank you!
i got a booking minutes after changing up my listing name to focus on the ammenties instead of just a random name.
You mean the title right?
@@OnoriodeTemuru Yes!
🔥🔥🔥
What platform should I use for shopify for a direct booking website?
I recommend using Boostly to setup your direct booking website
YES!!! Plz stop randomizing Airbnb photos 😭 why am I viewing your BBQ and your master bedroom back to back
🙌
can you give me the name of the short term insurance? I didn't understand in the video.

Very important to ask for a pet fee when you rent our home in Malibu
Why's that?
Thank you for the info. Very helpful
Thank you. Do you recommend organising the photos ourselves or letting Airbnb do it.. it now organises it by space living room, etc
Absolutely do it yourself! Photo Tours is awful. Got a video coming out soon that actually dives more into that!

What I hate on the platform now, trying to arrange the photos properly.
Their rooms crap makes it so frikkin hard lol

Won't that affect how the listing is displayed? Meaning how many bedrooms and bathrooms?

Better to learn photography
Not unless you’re planning on becoming a professional photographer. Learning amateur photography will still not be nearly good enough to fully optimize your listing.
Don't book rooms with airbnb the host cancel it and your money blocked upto 15 days I faced 2 times this problem in 2024
Advice: stop trying to push selling products for small commissions so hard. You lose a lot of authenticity and authority
