    Hello Robinsons, I’m preparing my single-family home for an Airbnb. I went with the Eufy Smart lock C220 for the front door. It was more economical than Schlage Encode. After watching your video I’m thinking I picked the wrong lock. Do you know if the Eufy smart lock will work the same as the Schlage Encode lock with the software u recommend?

    I really appreciate you two creating this video!
    I always wonder what if a guest has a vehicle leaking oil, who would be responsible for cleaning the vehicle oil stains on the driveway or garage area?
    Thank you

    If you can login to your guests tv , your concierge or host can pre set the log in and log out times on the tv on the day of check in. That should be noted for the guest in tv instructions so they don t even need to set times.

    Assess to an HDMI port would be GREAT. I travel with my Fire Stick it has all my favorite channels so I I don’t have to use the useless Roko stuff it’s slow and antiquated.

      Correct! Exterior cameras only! Airbnb actually does allow for interior, but we prefer not to. Kinda weird IMO

    I WILL NOT STAY in a ab&b that has a camera inside the house. At front door fine but NOT INSIDE…..that’s an immediate deal breaker.

      For the automatic door codes? The schlage lock integrates directly to airbnb to change codes automatically. But there's some PMS like Guesty that does it as well if you set it up.

    If the property is a small house with 3 exterior doors. Do you put a smart lock on each door?

    • @alexb.2055
      @alexb.2055 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did. I also put a similar but different lock on closet the team has access to. In my location, there has to be one bedroom not rented by city/county law, so I added a lock on that too that only I have access to and removed any valuables from the property. At first, I thought it was crazy and overboard but big on security. If the home was sold 2 or 5 times, that’s multiple people and who ever they gave access or made keys for originally being passed down. Now, I change locks, keys, garage openers, etc. even if they had a smart lock on all homes just for my safety and guest safety.

      Same with the WiFi. I have admin WiFi with strong VPN (apple does really well limiting data breaches and not selling privacy data), and completely separate WiFi access. There’s so much identity theft and fraud, should someone naive or not as protected be hacked, myself and guest are secure. Plus I don’t want crazies looking up things like hurting someone or wild crime items registered or tracked to you or your home. Rather go through the pain of extra protection and layers to minimize any breaches.

    That’s not a secret code if other people know it’s the last 4 digits of the vacationer’s cell number! That’s means any person who knows the guest looking to break in while guests are gone can do so if they know guest phone number. That’s not a smart idea.

    • @TheRealEstateRobinsons
      @TheRealEstateRobinsons  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hahah that would be one determined thief - to track someone down, on their vacation, wait for them to leave their Airbnb, and then steal all of their things?
      The likelihood of that happening is probably pretty low in comparison to the convenience it creates for the guest. But, to each their own!

    • @ToddBizCoach
      @ToddBizCoach 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheRealEstateRobinsons my point is don t create codes that anyone off the street knows by looking at a phone number.
      By mentioning this practice on social media you just announced to everyone how to break in any of your rentals just by knowing a phone number.

      Agree with both sides and good positive reply. If it’s someone who’s staying with them and does this it would occur anywhere. With AirTag and people being so public of where they are the viewer has a point. Then again, they are sharing their experience handling tons of airbnbs so this issue hasn’t occurred or been a concern or else I’m sure it’s a risk they would’ve addressed and mitigated. Like he said “to each their own” and free to handle your airbnb as you see fit. Thankful you’re sharing what works for you and viewer addressing security concerns @ToddBizCoach.

      You assume a lot…like other than my mother’s phone….i literally would not remember anyone else’s 4 digits of their phone #.

    My experience with smart locks has been poor. It’s always a PITA, and all the software either sucks or guests have issues using it.
    I can see it being useful with multiple properties but my life has been better with good old fashion keys.

    Why should a host/ owner be able to watch what activity a guest is partaking in in the backyard? If a guest wants to partake in romantic activity, that activity should be private.
    No security camera should be on. Should only be turned on if guest turns it on.

    • @StaceyFitzpatrick-r4k
      @StaceyFitzpatrick-r4k หลายเดือนก่อน

      Public areas there is NO expectation of privacy. Do your business inside or go to the park

    • @ToddBizCoach
      @ToddBizCoach หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StaceyFitzpatrick-r4k A backyard with a fence is not a public area. It is private property. Being an owner of a property vs a guest does not change the definition of private vs public. Private property extends beyond the walls of a house.
