Man, you took all your snack bars with you but you had the best food in the world over there! Hope you got to eat almost something regularly over there😋
So pretty much some c's, food, water, no fire kit and cutting tools. Sheltering items quite overkill. Poncho, swagman, hammock, tarp. Do you really need all that? I don't think so. Especially in Italy during summer. I could see that, if you were in Norway.
Good video. Just a note, I was in the airline business many years ago and even then, the cargo holds were pressurized. Larger dogs and live animals are shipped in the cargo holds. The whole tube is pressurized.
I was hoping this video was a response to the Blackie Thomas-> James Bender-> Sarge-> Mr Dyer-> Dave Canterbury haversack challenge Although to be fair Dave has some excellent haversack dumps in the Long Hunter series
If you stop by in Nuremberg Germany, I d love to invite you to a beer/Schweinshaxe or a short cave trip in the Franconian Swiss :) Safe travels and greetings from Bavaria!
David, congrats on expanding your survival school internationally. Second, quick question; will survival techniques/hacks in Italy differ then those you utilize here in the US? Thanks!
that is awesome news that you can spread to the EU. thank you, Dave, for your hard work and dedication. glad you had a great time and thanks for the tsa lessons.
Have you guys thought about making a stainless steel twig stove similar to the ones for the Pathfinder canteen and bottle kits, only for the Pathfinder Grayl nesting cup you guys recently put out? I think that would be an amazing addition to the Grayl Nesting cup.
Having some backup items in a medium mess bag is a great idea all-around. If you end up with wet items (think socks; eww) you can toss them in the mess bag and hang them off your pack/rig to dry out. In the appropriate weather, of course.
Welcome back my brother David Canterbury! I saw all of your pictures from Italy and they’re awesome!! I know you’re there for work, however, Hope you had fun! The food is amazing you should’ve gained weight, but, you look thinner brother!! Did you lose weight? Love your channel and content and all of the SRO products. Thank you so much for sharing!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👊🏿
As someone who's traveled to Ireland several times, Dave's statement about sharp things under the plane has to be addressed. Irish law is pretty strict about knives on your person. I would recommend always checking the laws of the country you're traveling to and through about sharp things, it varies quite a bit. What's legal in France and Italy might be illegal in the UK and Germany.
What a great wonderful News, allways tought Frist pathfinder school will be like Sweden or so, very Happy make my day with Italy.. Forza italia hope just the Start in europe and more follow , good luck everyone
Dave, you’ve been doing what you do for so long, you’ve got it dialed in pretty good! As you know and recommend, one’s pack/bag/haversack, etc, will be customized for their needs, and will depend on the purpose of the trip/travel to destination, etc.. thank you for all the hard work you and your family, business(es), partners, associates etc have done and do!
If you are looking for a ultralight multi use sleep pad check out the gossamer gear thin pad. They came out with a folded one that works great. Just used it on a 3 day canoe trip.
Great stuff! The new materials coming out that our lightweight and durable is great to see. Though we will see how tough they really are over time. Keep up the great content!
Dave correction for you the baggage hold , compartment is pressurized! They may not be heated. The flooring in the cabin would have to be made to hold pressurization which they are not they are constructed of Phallic honey comb laminated to thin fiber glass sheet.
I traveled around Italy for 10 days with just my credit card😂
It was a pleasure and an honor having you in Italy! We really appreciate your deep knowledge and humbleness. Hope to see you again soon! Piero
Man, you took all your snack bars with you but you had the best food in the world over there! Hope you got to eat almost something regularly over there😋
Nice video Dave! My set up is very similar except I include hygiene and first aid items.
Yay Dave! "The more you know, the less you need." Woo-Hoo!!!!
Congratulations on the success you and your family have had with your business. Great to see.

Maybe I missed it. What was the weight of this loadout minus water and tools? Even an estimate is fine. Really curious. Thanks , Sean

I KNEW IT!
I knew that when Dave goes radio silent, it's for something big! LOL
Never would have thought about ruining a compass during air travel due to depressurised chambers.
Good stuff Dave, thanks!

Great video! I aspire to be as lightweight and minimalist as this when traveling, but I'm always too gear heavy.
Great video sir, always fascinating to see what you're using when traveling worldwide. Congratulations on your expansion into Europe.
Dave...Your store is out of stock on a lot of the dyneema products. Any idea when we can expect more stock? Thanks brother.
What underquilt was that?
Jacks R Better
cool stuff!!! The Italy updates sound exciting!!! Great work!
Thanks for the over view! Gives me a lot to consider for my pack/EDC revisions.
Never knew about the compass getting a bubble at altitude. I really like the bag setup. Also, congratulations on expanding your business.
I've had my Scout Pack for 5-6 months now and find it to be so versatile. From the deep woods to international flights, nothing beats my Scout Pack!

Enjoy the trip! 😎 Were still watching the master🤘🤘🤘
What dry bag do you typically use with it?
Would be cool to have a mesh zipper pocket on the underside of the pack lid 👍
Ultralight Dave👍🏻
Great to have you back in the states brother. You were missed for sure.
What is the capacity of the dry bag in your pack?
That's what we've been waiting for! Amazing!

Great news I would love to attend that. I’m just next door in France.
