I vividly remember playing this game as a child. Without cheats though, I always got stuck after beating the Black Knight. I remember being more immersed with Scooby Doo: Unmasked as a result, which I can't wait to see you review as well!
I literally couldn’t agree more! The pendulum obstacles are my WORST ENEMY in this game, especially since I could never consistently evade them due to lack of camera control.
Oh, another thing about this game the girl who plays Holly is the same one who plays Sam Manson, and her uncle, same guy who plays barnacle, boy, and mastermind who else in than the man himself Tim Curry

This is one of the few games that you've covered that I've have played (The only other game that I can name off the top of my head is Oogie's revenge) and I can definitely say I agree with you, this is a good game. I have a few more things to say so, 1 fun fact the intro for this game is in the files for battle for bikini bottom, 2 I don't know if you listen to the comments for games that might be interesting, but I would like to see you cover the Narnia games at some point, (If you don't like to take requests from the comments section I understand) that's all I have to say so hope you're doing well dude and have a good one.
if you played scooby doo mystery mayhem, they also recreate the original song.. also the moment you stated the game is a "metroidvania" i understood why you call it "garbage" metroidvanias are garbage by design. .. ALL OF THEM ARE GARBAGE no exceptions, and anyone who disagrees, keep your fingers away from the keyboard and move on! get a life. or you'll get blocked.

Sorry to burst your bubble on multiple things but: 1. The "Garbage From Your Childhood?" series title is semi clickbait. It (typically) gathers people who remember the game and come to see it again after so long. However, the series title has a question mark to say "Is this garbage from your childhood after all this time away from it?" rather than "This IS garbage from your childhood." Some people talk about fond memories they have, others defend the game in aspects I don't like or vice versa. I've looked at plenty of games in this review series that have genuienly surprised me with how good they are alongside other games I already knew were good. That includes this game. In the end, I enjoyed this game. 2. I like metroidvanias (been playing through a lot of the Metroid games recently and have had a lot of fun with them), but I can see why people wouldn't like them as well. You can dislike metroidvanias or whatever genre/media and have your reasons for that. That's perfectly fine. What isn't is making fun of or completely pushing away other people for liking them. We can agree to disagree on things, but don't make it personal.
