Thank you, you are very welcome.
I agree with your assessment of the bottom left colors. There, they remind me of looking at Sargent's beautiful colors!
Thank you, I never reject any comparison with Sargent! :-)
Beautiful! Thank you. I look forward to trying this!
Have fun!
Excellent demonstration!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The tufts of grasses look more like the picture if you stop and let it dry now, then when dry apply some LIGHTER dried grasses over the top for depth.
And if you need a little guoache to do that it helps, as will a touch of just lavender work.
Thanks for the tips!
Очень красиво! Попробую повторить... Спасибо за урок!
Glad you enjoyed my video.
Beautiful, I would have liked to see how you paint the seagulls.
Next time. The video was getting a bit long.

Excellent. Thank you. Please keep the videos coming.
Thanks, will do!
Beautiful painting, very good illustration, and very deeply nicely explaining your work.. Thank you for sharing ..
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Your treatment of the waves and shadows does Bob Ross two steps better! But it seems the dry sand areas are a bit too yellow from the reference. I'll be a new subscriber and hope to learn more!
Glad you liked it. I never worry too much about color, tone is way more important, especially when working from photos which rarely truely capture colors. Welcome to the channel!
Excellent tutorial! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Lovely work and great explanation of your steps. thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Magnífico trabajo, maestro!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
I thoroughly enjoyed that - everything so in detail explained, or from the mixing of colors - to a newbie like me, absolutly fantastic! Packed with info! I was looking for something I had seen recently, the painting of sand and the wee waves at the shore ( most probably was you) I saw your tutorial and couldnt take my eyes off of it from start to finish. You showed everything how to, except the seegulls on the sand at the end lol. It was great! Thank you so much - you have a new sub!

Very happy to hear, enjoy the videos and happy painting!!
My 1st time here . Great tutorial I found in your Chanel. I had subscribed. Thks you
Awesome, thank you!
I know some people that teach the relationship between sky and sea color by addign magenta in the sky. Effectively pushing sky away from green. I think the final relation is somewhat the same of addign green to water. But interesting how our brains accept both approaches.
There are many different way to achieve a similar result with colors. In the end it depends on what is in you palette at the time you want to create a particular effect.
Thank you, I learned a lot watching you create this lovely seascape. I was surprised how much the shadows added to the overall feeling of this. Subscribed and am looking forward to learning more. Lora
Glad it was helpful Lora! I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos.
Спасибо!
Thank you.
Thanks!
Many thanks for your support John, appreciated!
Thank you for this video. Not many artists, if any, have painted a sandune. Is the wooden post missing its shadow?
Glad you enjoyed it. There is a slit shadow in the grass to the right of the post. The rest of the shadow would be out of sight on the back of the sand dune. 😊
Thanks for showing how to use a fan brush. I have one but was unsure if the best way to use it.
Glad I could help!
Very beautiful work 😍😍💕💕🌹🌹👍👍
Thank you so much 😊
Wow. I love the colour transition from water to sand 💕 I bought both of you books😊.
Glad you enjoyed my video and thank you very much for buying my books! 😊
It seems so hard to paint that transition from very shallow water to wet sand, and you have demonstrated that well!
Thank you. I'm glad it was of help to you.
I’ve learned so much. Thanks. One question why wet back of paper. I usually just tape mine down.
Glad you learned from my video. Here is a link to another one I produced which covers why I wet the back. th-cam.com/video/f3SlN7jfxRw/w-d-xo.html
I enjoyed your video very much. Sometimes sand can have a little bit of cool tone so sometimes I use either yellow ochre with Potter’s pink for the granulation or raw sienna with the same. It is different but gives a bit of sense of granulation. Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Joe
What is the board you use, that tolerates the repeated wetting, please?
At the time I was using a product called Gator Board, but now I just use a 6mm thick piece of black mat acrylic.
