To be honest I think without the camera stabilisation is more realistic to what we feel when driving. These cars have an aggressive stiff set up because this what makes them fast and I think this probably shows better than any other video out there how much you really get thrown around, and how brutal it is to drive such a car. Anyone else fancy a hot lap?
I would directly jump in the car. Great lap on the greatest track 🔥

Good thing you left image stabilization off, all we would have gotten is a blurry screen - there's a limit to how much violent movement it can compensate for 🤣

I was just thinking the same thing, amazing how he's able to go almost immediately full throttle on the corner exits! There must be some traction control going on
@@tilmykillme Having less power than the road going version and full slicks, helps too with getting on full throttle without traction issues..
its a race car.. so you hat Throttle or no throttle most of the time.. :D
@@randomsurfer3963 It was just passed the cross over point between wets to slick tyres. We changed to slicks the run after. At 2:51 you see me reduce the TC as it was coming in too much at this point for these conditions.
@Balthazar FX still 425 - 450bhp. Its a track with lots of flat out sections, plus with the downforce and mechanical grip it means were full throttle quite often.

@@ShaunMcInnis the secret is, you are faster when you manage your speed with your brake pedal, not your accelerator. That's why brake at 25-75% and throttle 100%. Slow in, fast out.,
Man, that engine and sequential sound is such an eargasmic to listen! Definitely a badass racecar!

Love this! It's crazy to realize you guys get thrown around like this. Not many people see that because most turn on the image stabilization. Hell, that's the closest most people get to experiencing a racecar. I got to sit in my Uncle Eddie's 70's Fiat 124 coupe race car while he drove for a few laps once. It is NOT a comfortable ride, especially with carbon fiber seats. But it's still thrilling to experience how these types of cars can handle corners like it's nobody's business. A corner a normal car can handle at only 25 mph, these things are able to fly through them at 50mph! And when that happens, you get TOSSED. By the end, everything is still moving, your ass is numb, you can't feel your legs, you're tired because of the heat, and you want to pop a shitload of ibuprofen for the back pain😆

Pretty crazy to see how the brake balance changes based on braking force? To see it jump essentially 20% of bias is mad, never knew GT cars did that. I suppose rearward to start to keep stable and then into front for the biting force once the car isn't suddenly whipping around under braking.

Even with img stability turned off, some models do save the stabilization data, enabling you to add it during post production. Check it out maybe it works.
It's funny how i do the exact same line on assetto corsa. Amazing how a game can simulate so accurately the real track.

Speaking of image stabilization, how about if you try recording some on-board footage in 60fps, should be much better for handling all the motion and really give a better sense of the ridiculous speeds that the vehicles are able to achieve. Pleasee try it, I'd like to see the difference and see what other people think too :)
doing it once a while. issue is the lighting. it needs to be really bright otherwise everything goes dark

I wish the AMG street cars had this clean V8 sound instead of the weird chainsaw sound of the M177...
To be clear, I am not talking about anything that is influenced by the exhaust system, cats, ppf, etc. I am talking about ENGINE sound. The street M177 sounds weird even straight piped, this sounds like a real V8.
Did the rules on GT4 change? I always thought that on GT4s you can only reprogramm the stock gearboxes, but the gearbox itself cannot be swapped. This car had sequentials though?

Perhaps it's a good thing that you turn off stabilization for videos where you want people to experience the car, and keep it on when you want to talk about the track, the scenery, give instructions, and in interviews. There's obviously a demand for it, and I think it's part of the buzz of the helmet cams in F1.

I'd take a stiff one after that stiff ride. Ouch.
Interestingly the corner speeds are not very high considering this is a high downforce car with track tires on.
Shame half the track is wet. He took it pretty easy on this lap.

yes. Aero makes it slow on straights, but fast in the corners.

yes sadly so. All GT3 and GT4 cars have something called BOP, Balance of Performance. This is to even out the speeds of the cars, because naturally a Ferrari is quicker than a BMW. All the cars end up roughly around the same weight, similar aerodynamic and similar power. GT4 is around 1400kg and 425 - 450bhp.
he didn't need to look at the dashboard when he drove? I guess he could still see the rev indicators?

It is a shame about the camera setting Misha but still you can see the smooth skills of the driver compared to that lucky idiot driving the Carrera GT. I like the transmission whines..serious stuff and very impressive!
