I don’t understand the hate from so many people regarding this shoe. I had this when it 1st came out in Norway. I wore my navy pair for a whole year in 2006 back in highs school, before it went out of fashion. We would pair them with camo cargo pants, a studded belt and a short hoodie. Some wore trucker caps as well. It was also that year when pajamas pants was hot so I wore these with mine even during winter in snow, ice and rain. Did not care. Only difference is that my pair had this velcro strap and a flap covering the laces… I really want this pair, but as a Millennial that’s apparently unacceptable as I’m too old for this trend🤡 Puma is a great brand and one of those few that still offer great quality and material for an affordable price, even better materials than Adidas and Nike which they compete with. My only gripe with Puma is the fit. Maybe because I was skinny and young, but after buying Puma as an adult, the shoes are always too narrow. And I don’t have that wide feet in particular. Which means I need to go up in size and then they before too long in the length of the shoe.
Exceptional video as always, keep it up! I also prefer these over sambas but i worry about it’s durability. Also prices of these in my country are way higher compared to the adidas and the nikes 😔
I worked at a Puma store back in the 2005-2007 era and these were very popular back then and were marketed as a "driving shoe". Never liked them much though I did almost buy a white leather pair but a navy blue puma stripe.
Hi Olivia. Those are really nice. You should definately try the Puma Mostro; those were also released 25 years ago and those are back this years via limited releases. I purchased a white pair and I love them.
I really wanna order these but I'm not sure if I should order them in my usual size 7, or 7,5 which is what I wear in Sambas. Also do they come with extra laces? I love your channel!!
I went with my normal size in these and they fit perfectly :) Could go up a 0.5 if you want some more room but i would recommend tts. For adidas shoes I do usually go up a 0.5. No they don’t come with extra laces :( Thank you! xx
I love the puma speed cats, however I ordered a pair but wasn't sure if I liked how my baggy jeans would basically eat up the shoe and be touching the ground. So I ended up returning them :(((
@@Unxpekted Not exactly the case. You can have the best material in the world but if it is 2mm thin, it will wear out from abrasion from the ground. Materials obviously do play a factor but you want some decent thickness to it.
@@Plague_Doc22 This simply isn't true. Depends on how you wear your shoes and the material, they can produce very thing continental soles that last 100's of miles. Now if you want to say it may not be as comfortable I'm with you on that. Bu there is no proof a chucky sole with last longer than a thin sole. Look at old Diadoras that crack over time with that thick sole, it's because of the materials they used.
@@Unxpekted You are comparing thick worse materials to a thin great material outsole. I am saying if you have a thicker outsole with great materials it will outlast a thin one. Simply because of science and abrasion wearing away material over time.
@@oliviaswl I honestly don't see any beauty, style or function out of this aside from driving. Everyone that wears those are clearly just riding the wagon.
Zzz the same can be said for any type of shoe that’s been hot for the past 30 years let it be skating, running, platform, football or handball shoes. Whether it has function, whether it’s pretty is subjective and depends on each individual person. So? Why write that on someone’s review when they actually like the shoe?
@@ShintikibobAnd you need to get education fashion history as everyone is riding some type of wagon these days and always have been. Things will always rotate and come back. It’s the natural order of things…

These were everywhere 25 years ago! Love to see it reintroduced. Wish they came back with Repli Cat model as well.
Love they brought it back, you never know might come soon!
This is awesome! My wife forced me to put these away many years ago (she says they’re hideous), I guess it’s time to bring them out 😎
Wow beautiful sneakers, will be my next ones ❤💯💥👌👍

Yeah the key is to go baggy but not too baggy !😅😂
These are so nice something I would buy but only when I go abroad, they get ruined in the rain in the UK
Yeah that is true 😩
These look classy af🔥. Confused between speedcat and samba 🥲
Pretty pair!
I had them in 2006 in the color brown, can't believe thats almost 20 years ago😭
Nostalgia! Do you still have them?
I feel like my uk9 feet would look very long in those
Kool vid
The super slim outsole means it wont last long at all.
True 😔
Actually untrue, depends on materials.
