@@sin5335 there’s tons of people that send death threats because people say something that X person doesn’t agree with. People get told to kill themself because of stupid reasons. There is absolutely nasty (and scary) criticism out there. Not everything is a joke, nor can people always handle the shitty things people say cause it’s annonymous
13:23 I was starting to get a bit bored because Raft doesn't seem to have much that can cause chaos during gameplay yet except the sharks, and I suppose my brain needs the chaos goblin energy to stay focused. By the end I was actually hoping to see if the raft would sink or not, since that's the direction it was going lol, but then the video ended. I like your content with friends though, especially when we get to see the same events on their channels and from their perspective (i.e. the Purge and Zombie Apocalypse vids)!
I think the only time I've been able to watch raft was through mark, bob, and wade's play through since their friendship is just so good and they did podcasts together so they make some funny running bits. and they progress through the story well and edit a lot of it.
5:11 the music was a bit loud, and I feel like there's too many cuts. I like to enjoy all of the moments and watch it play out, I'd love to see the moment you make some of the constructions like the water purifier and the grill and stuff.

To be honest I wasn’t sure if I was gonna watch this full thing through or at least in one sitting, since I’m not a big fan of this game, but when I realized you’re playing with three other people I was hooked.

I actually prefer these videos where you're with your friends, gaming is always more fun with friends; those who say otherwise probably have no friends. Loved this video I couldn't stop laughing.
I love the videos with all of you playing together! I have to give props to the others though, because only so many people could stand playing with someone knowing they're going to betray them or ruin the whole point of the game 😂 I love forgelabs though!

Since you often upload longer videos I tend to watch it in bits while I do chores or have them play all the way through in the background. Love your vids and love the community. I will say I do prefer the more story telling style long videos with more narration, but I still enjoy raw gameplay, and while reading the comments I realize most of the fans prefer the gameplay with friends. I get the long videos take a lot of time and effort but keep up the good work! Very proud.

2:09 I'm interested to see more of this game, but i think it would be better to do a solo survival video first and then introduce friends in a sequel video, kind of like the old 100 days videos. I believe the solo survival style fits your character very well because you do a great job at making it interesting with the narrated commentary!
I do agree with you experiencing the game for himself would be better but raft is one of those games that is way funner when playing with friends

2:23 the video cuts so often that it's hard to always understand what is going on. I think that Raft is more fit for longer less edited videos rather than fast cuts. Also 4 players is bit too much for this fast video style.

3:15 I wasn't sure what you and your friends were trying to do. I like the story/goal aspects of your other videos. I'm also not a big fan of Raft, but liked when Let's Game It Out played and built the longest Raft. That's what the opening reminded me of.

Seeing as you're asking for constructive feedback about the editing, I personally feel like in this video and some of your others there's too many cuts.
I'd rather see things play out even if there's some slower moments, as it would help pace things out and add to the overall immersion of the video. Your multiplayer videos often feel more like highlight reels than actual gameplay videos and I would much rather see longer videos with some of the "boring" stuff left in.
All that said, I love your videos and have been watching you since episode 5 or 6 of RLCraft and just wanted to share my opinion about the editing :)
i agree the cuts were pretty noticeable id rather see longer segments even if it means the video is a bit longer
Fax, while heavy cuts are kinda a staple of some ppl's content, like Ludwig, DisguisedToast, and a few others, the reason I come to watch Forge Labs is for that long and detailed stuff.
The other big missing thing is prolly voice-overs, or at least some type of narration. I like hearing the process and what certain plans are for the gameplay. Also, because there's no narration of what's going on, it kinda knocks me out trying to figure out what's going on and who's even in the group with you, misunderstanding the goals, and some more stuff
I agree! Raft is a slower game by nature, and this feels very disjointed. There is very little story or interaction to latch onto.
Yes this ! I associate Raft especially with streams and long gameplay, something that’s also easy to listen in the background while doing other work. I feel this series especially can be more tedious because the grind-y aspect of raft is what makes it enjoyable. Luckily, Sean is a good commentator too.

I think when you’re playing with friends, you can used more quirky style of editing but spaced out the zoom in moment and cut away sequences cause they can get unnecessary sometimes. But when you do 100 days videos or survival one then the your normal style of editing perfect.

It does get a bit chaotic in such a small play area but omg does it help with the Raft grind
This game has amazing lore and is really fun to play. I was really happy to see this video in my recommended and hope to see more like it. I also cracked up laughing at the fact that Sean didn't even need to think at this point the names just come to him instantly. True creative instinct.

*4:00* I love your videos and it’s fun to play with friends. But when it’s all over the place it’s hard to stay focused. Maybe it’s just my short attention span but it was harder to stay focused on the video. Your friends were somewhat loud which pulled me away from the goal. I like listening to your relaxing voice when you play games. I like seeing how you think and how you overcome challenges. It’s relaxing and gives me the feeling that I’m playing with you and that you’re talking to me. However when you’re with friends. It feels more like I’m back in middle school and I’m watching my “friends” chat as I sit quiet like a forth wheel. Not really being able to engage with them but also not leaving the table for fear of being alone. It feels like there’s much less of a connection. I think you playing with friends could still work if you narrate what they’ve done or said. That way I’m once again listening and engaging with you alone. It feels more personal and intimate with makes the videos easier to connect to and focus on.
I don't mind forge playing with his friends. I just hate it when he plays with legundo, because he is so loud all the time and always talking. its like he is trying to take over the video. I enjoy when he plays with kim, shadowmech, and robert. maybe its because they all have low voices. but legundo is too high pitch with a annoying laugh.
