Original Mode in English: Heero, Jerid, and Master Asia (Dynasty Warriors: Gundam)

- All of the cut-scenes in english that takes place during the original story of Heero, Jerid, and Master Asia in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. Unfortunately this is not in HD as I don't have an HD recorder.
If I miss any PLEASE tell me and I'll reedit the video. The point of the video was because there is a very big lack of the cut-scenes in english on TH-cam (more so without cut-scenes and easy access to them), so this is my way of filling that void. I've also added in some of the music that was missing in the original english release of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam..and gave abit of special treatment to the G-Gundam series in this one, because..well, it's G-Gundam!
If I could get some help though, does anyone know if Master Asia actually have a cut-scene for Stage 2? The main reason why I omitted him in the Stage 2 cut-scenes is because while he does blast away ice bergs, it's not exactly unique (though amazing for him). I had this issue with Zechs in the last video also! Help confirm!

Honestly, I don't watch any of the anime, but I just love Jerid's character development for this game!
Jerid went from a man who see himself superior to others because he's with Titans, because he's elite, because he's a man, etc. But Master Asia and Heero's influence allowed him to have confidence on himself as a person, rather than clinging to his 'titles' to validate himself.
It's actually a pretty nice example to set for people who struggles with insecurities in themselves as a person, for people who clings to their 'race', 'religion', 'grouping', etc... as validation for themselves, Jerid's story is an awe inspiring one!
Such characterization could give SRW Shinn Asuka a run for his money:

A friend of mine who’s a fan of shinn put it best, first half of seed destiny he was good, second half when he got the destiny gundam he became crap.
It's stuff like that which made me remember this game long past playing it.
Love these match ups. They’re all fucking psychotic. You get normal ones like Amuro and Char teaming up, then slightly weird ones like Judau and Scirocco, odd ones like Heero, Jerid and Master Asia and then totally insane stuff like Domon, Milliardo and Ple. And they all work perfectly

Most people I see here are commenting on how cool Heero or Master Asia is, but honestly imo Jerid is the real main character for this pair, mainly because his skills is nowhere near Heero or Master Asia, so he's the only one shown getting more and more skilled during his journey with Heero and Master Asia, and it definitely earn him more spotlight than both Heero and Master Asia for me.
Jerid's actually such a likable character in this game for me. It gets me thinking that maybe... just maybe, if Jerid had his own mentor figures in Zeta, then this is the Jerid we'll end up with for the anime as well.

I always loved Master Asia and Heero as a duo. It’s such an interesting juxtaposition with two people grown up to only care about fighting, but one so duty bound and apathetic and one who’s way too passionate.
Heero is a teenager though....

Sometimes I can’t help but imagine when Hiro shoot down the space station, he would use the sekiha tenkyoken instead of his buster riffle.
Its funny how the G Gundam characters would fit in very well in a musou universe, they're right at home in this series of Gundam games.
I know we all like to make fun of Jerid, but I'd say that getting a compliment from Master Asia himself is a pretty noteworthy achievement
You know despite what the rest of the fanbase thinks, I always liked Jerid. Glad they attempted to give him some spotlight in this game, makes it my favorite out of all the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games.
I agree! Jerid really grew on me and the black version of the Mk II has become my favorite those days.

It would be hilarious if you could play as Master Asia's horse, Fuunsaiki.
For those who don't know, Fuunsaiki has his own Gundam. It's amazing.
“Fuunsaiki, become my legs as we fight together”
this whole game really showed the Master Gundam's skills the most showing just how powerful Master Asia is.
Heero Yuy is probably the only Gundam pilot who keep his cool and a straight while in combat. Even Setsuna F. Seia looses his cool when the pressure's on.
One thing worth mentioning is that the voice acting for the Zeta characters isn't done by the actual voice actors from the English audio for Zeta Gundam.
See, when the show was bought over and localised, the usual Ocean voice actors were on strike, so they used a subsidiary of Ocean's, Blue Water, to get talent for the English audio. The resulting effort (whilst pretty good as usual) was very much a B-team production, with characters from Mobile Suit Gundam and the Char's Counterattack movie recast with different actors due to the strike.
The only Gundam game to use the actual Zeta cast was Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam in 2005, the same year when Zeta made its way overseas, and even then Bandai also used the Ocean cast for the MSG incarnations of characters like Char and Amuro. Later ones, like Dynasty Warriors Gundam, recasted them with actors from ocean.
I thought Zeta was dubbed in the US and the rest in canada. Didn't know about the ocean strike. Interestingly it doesn't seem there were hard feelings to the "Scabs" sincd both Amuros did a con panel together at least oncd.

Jerid's my favorite out of these 3, and I feel like they all have a nice sort of dynamic going.
I honestly love these pairings and I wish they would make a actual crossover series regarding these characters in these pairings.

Kinda love Koei twisted mind by grouping, Heero with 2 bad guys while Milliardo was with 2 good guys. Those pairing made me happy and baddass at the same time.
Master Asia was a good guy in his own right but from the overall story he was neither a hero nor a bad guy. If he was evil he would of gotten infected by the dg cells but he wasn’t infected.

Ah I love master Asia, favorite character in the franchise. This game is so nostalgic, I got the game without even realizing what gundam was just because Heero was cool now Master Asia is my favorite. I wish g gundam had a movie like wing gundam or some kind of continuation not a cameo like in build fighters
If only Heero actually stayed and studied fully under Master Asia.
We would have seen the creation of the greatest warrior in history. He could have single highhandedly won the game, beat Amuro like a bitch, ripped Char in half like a phone book, put his foot up domon's ass, and then blow Musha gundam away with a sneeze.
Having done all that, he would probably then climb into his mobile suit and fly off for an omelette or something.

Same, the DW Gundam games were always fun. A DW Gundam 4 or DW Gundam Reborn 2 would really hype me up anyday.
I do not accept the fact that Reborn is not available in ps4. If they’re not gonna release it in ps4, they should at least make Dynasty Warriors Gundam 5
Personally, I'd rebrand it as *Mobile Suit Gundam: Aces* , so as to keep it in line with the modern Musou Crossovers, but yeah, that'd be absolutely Rad!

I love how they used wing zero's beam rifle cannon like this not just a giant energy cannon but it fires like a regular rifle they never showed that once in the series if it was even capable of doing that
I know this is an old comment but Wing Zero fired many smaller shots throughout the series. It’s the most versatile rifle in Gundam. It’s output can be adjusted. Watch the scenes when other people are piloting the Wing Zero. There are also a couple of scenes with Heero doing small shots as well.
Gundam Build Fighters is a good way to bring gundam fans together, but I think fans want to see Domon out class Char, Loran fighting Four in Pyscho, and Heero fighting Mr. I'm Gundam himself in a big old slug fest of a Anime or OVA if possible. Hey maybe they should add Sekai and friends from Gundam Build Fighters Try in Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn 2 that where to ever happen
...and have an English dub with all of the original voice artists, plus add in all of the new or previously uncovered, or removed, Mobile Suit Gundam story arcs, characters, and Mobile Suits, plus add in a new faction that bridges all of the Mobile Suit Gundam story arcs.

That is for sure one of the hardest cut-scenes to get in this game. You actually have to be losing about half of your fields, sometime after saving Heero. I don't quite remember when but I do know you have to be losing, and playing as Master Asia I think?
To obtain that cutscene, it's inevitable that your force will be struggling some might die in the process. You need to be fighting at the West fields (like 3 field on the NW) and that cutscene will trigger and those 3 fields will belong to you.

AirLancer well I hear the difference now, but he sounds pretty good for Domon. An older mature version of Domon too. Also sounds similar in some ways.
I actually recorded Amuro's stuff, but I still haven't gotten a chance to get the shots for Char, which is what I'm waiting to combine with. My recording equipment is not around right now though...so it'll take some time. Sorry about that...!
