Storm is on fire right now with their figures, I’m all in on everything they release
I had to pay $300 for this figure and his foot was broken off and I had a super glue it back on.. but he looks great on display holding his Warhammer next to motaro

I hope they eventually make modern incarnations of the characters. I would really like to see Scorpion with his Ninjatos and Sub-Zero with his frosted arms.

They made his legs too short. Take a look at the mk2 and mk3 shao kahn and you'll see how long his legs are.
This would be a perfect body type for Fist of the North Star characters. Specially that they have the license now... :)

I took what you did with classic Akuma and didn't put his head all the way down on the joint and it make him look so much better.
I would have preferred a laughing head or smiling head for the taunt gesture

Well they already have Liu Kang's prototype(which i think still needs some work, from what ive seen of it), its just a matter of when he will be produced. Him and his Dragon form are coming.

There were (MKII):Baraka, Kitana, Liu Kang w/ Dragon animality, MK3 Cyrax and MKX Scorpion prototypes last shown at a Con late last year. AND they showed Goro again a few months ago along with Ermac(SDCC exc), Smoke and Rain, so most likely they'll be the next characters released.

Yes. Shao Kahn did appeared on the Mortal Kombat comic books without his skull mask back in the 90's as well in the film played by Brian Johnson.

I really hope they finish the MK ninja line with Smoke and Rain then go on for other characters like Johnny Cage, Lui Kang, Sonya Blade, Kung Lao, or even Kenshi. This is a really cool line and we finally have good Mortal Kombat Action Figures!

I worry about paint rub on the soft rubber ever since the Storm Ryu gi shed all it's shading with the lightest handling.
Any issues like that on this guy?

You said shao kahn shouldn't be zangief size even though shao kahn is taller. Zangief is 7ft while shao is 7ft 2, unless you were referring to general body mass lol
they should add a hammer throw to your face spam action so its perfect.

I loved the Mezco MKX figures, but they decided to scrap it after just 6 molds, and I don't want to get into another one just to end up with yet another uncomplete MK line.
mezco lost the license
Oh, yeah? Is that what they're saying now? One of their representatives responded to a comment I wrote on a YT video and blamed us (the customers) for not buying enough of their figures (all of them, the repaints included) and the Mezco board cut the founding for the production, effectivly shutting the line down.
The reason why I struggle to believe that the true reason for them to shut down the line was because they lost the license, is the fact that their figures were probably the best MK figures ever made, and that people really wanted more. Personally, I think they wasted their budget on the variants that most people didn't want, and that is, in my opinion, the real reason why they shut their line down. They also made the smaller versions of the series 1 and 2 figures, and some other MKX related figures as well, which also contributed to eating up their MKX budget.
Why would they loose a license to a toy line that was highly wanted by the public? It doesn't make any sense to me... Then there is the statement the Mezco representive (a short haired, heavy set dude) gave me. I wish I could find my way back to that same video so that you could look for my comment. It was a toy fair video were some youtuber visited the Mezco stand and showed off their upcoming MKX products and interviewed the mentioned Mezco representive.
As far as I know, everybody who bought their MKX figures were very happy with how they turned out, and were looking forward to more. Thats at least what the people I've spoken to have said. I bought both series 1 and 2, but I skipped on the "variants" because I didn't need two of any of the figures.
With that said! Im only talking about the Mezco 6" MKX figures when it comes to what the Mezco representive told/wrote to me. For all I know, they could in deed have lost the MKX license due to other circumstances conserning their other MKX figures though. But as far as the 6" MKX figures goes, I'll stick with the statement the Mezco representive gave me. According to him, the customers didn't buy the figures they actually didn't want, and that affected the sales and thats why the Mezco board cut the funding for the 6" figures.
But Mezco aren't the only toy company that have had their hands on the MK license and given up though. My biggest disappointment as far as Mortal Kombat figures goes, is the fact that World Box stopped making 1/6 scale MK9 figures after only 3 molds (the Sub-Zero Brother not included). I just wish that we for once, just ONCE, could get a complete MK cast from any MK game!
Sorry for the long comment. Its just that when it comes to the MK figures I tend to get a "little" worked up because Im such a huge fan of the franchise LOL! My comment is not ment as a rant, but I always have doubts when a new company starts making MK figures. Oh, well... Guess I'll just continue making my 1/6 scale custom MK figures instead. If you want to, you can check out my custom 1/6 scale MK2 Raiden on my channel. Its not perfect though, but I did my best with what I had at the time. Im planning on doing MK2 Baraka next, if I can only work up some courage to attempt on sculpting the head LOL!
the story i heard is they lost the license because they werent selling. fact is, none of the mk lines have sold well until now (presumably).
Hmmm.... Well, the exclusives, bloody versions, or whatever you want to call the repaints had problems getting sold. But I had the impression of the original series 1 and 2 more or less flew off the shelves at all stores. I even heard that the series 1 and 2 figures went for some really stupid money on eBay for a while, especially the "clean" versions of Scorp and Sub. I also got a few people asking me if I wanted to sell my entire set at retail price just a few months after they were available in various stores, because they were "sold out every where" according to some people. I even had this one guy offering me twice the retail price for my Scorpion and Sub-Zero figures. Now I can see BBTS are selling series 2 and a few variants, but no "clean" Sub-Zero or Scorpion versions though. Some of the MKX figures that are still available have even gone on sale. But these will never be sold unless the price goes even further down I think, if at all. The MKX 6" line by Mezco has officially been cancelled, so I don't think people will be attracted to the "left overs".
Up untill the Mezco figures came out, nobody were satisfied with the previous MK figures (Jazzware, etc...), but it was all there was as far as MK figures went at the time.
Anyways! Back to Mezco! I read some statement from Mezco on some website that they had plenty more figures to make. Mezco's failure to keep the toyline aside, I wish that some other company would pick up from where Mezco stopped, and continue the MKX line with the same scale and esthetics as the one Mezco started. Mezco did some really fantastic work when they had the license, and it was such a shame that it went like it did with them. My personal thoughts on where it went wrong, is when they started doing the variants and the various other scales and esthetics. They should have sticked with the 6" figures and kept going with the clean versions untill they were done. The bloody variants and other repaints should have been exclusives at a low production scale. They simply just went "all in" way too soon, and that crippled their budget and costed them the entire license in the end...
As great as the Storm Collectibles MK figures looks, I still can't mix and display them with my Mezco figures. The esthetics are too far apart in my opinion. I was thinking about getting the Shao Kahn though, but Im not sure if they'd scale or look good next to each other. How far are the Storm Collectibles ninjas apart from the Mezco figures scale-wise? I know the SC are supposed to be One:12, according to some descriptions I've read, and the Mezcos are 6 inch. But something tells me that "6 inch" and "One:12" doesn't have to meen that they're equal in size, and that they are just a general measurement in the toy world. Also, the SC figures are different as far as the body proportions goes, so they'll never look right if mixed with the Mezco figures.
Crap! Another long comment :P Sorry LOL! Well! As far as the Storm Collectibles MK figures goes, I guess I'll just have to wait and see for as long as I can before I decide to go for them or not. It sounds promising so far though, considering that they seem to be planning on new molds such as Liu Kang. But will they suffer the same fate as Mezco, THATS the big question. I don't want be disappointed with yet another shut down of a toyline that I've invested both my money and my hopes into. Wish I could hold one of the figures in my hand to help me tip to one side or the other so I could get my hairy, fat butt off the fence and make a choise! There is a huge difference between Mezcos $20 for a figure, and Storms $55+ each figure (the ninjas). Its a lot of money for figures that are basicly repaints, but with different accessories. The $90+ for Shao Kahn and the throne... I don't know, dude... Its a heavy investment for what they are, especially the ninja repaints, if I want to get them all. And knowing me, I will eventually want them all LOL!
Anyways! Thanks for your replies to my comments, dude! Keep up the awesome work on your channel ;) Looking forward to see more reviews on these on your channel in the future. Maybe you can convince me to jump in on it at some point.
PS! Could I ask you to do a video comparison on the MK figures from various companies? If you still have the Mezco figures and some some from Jazzware and such still? I've never seen any MK figures from various companies on "the same table" yet, and its hard to make a comparison in my head from memory or various videos when I can't see them together. Its just a humble request though, if you're able and have the time :)

Size is essential due to price and of course if you choose to buy in that lane. I think and this is just me. But i think it'll look lame to have a 3 to 4 inch mk figure next to this guy. Awesome looking figure.
I didn't say size isn't important. I measure every figure. Relatively arbitrary comparisons server little purpose and provide virtually no information for those who don't own the figure being compared to. Measuring the height as I do serves all viewers completely
You just contradict yourself. However the reason for size comparisons could server towards whomever becoming interested in purchasing certain items. But your opinion is yours and i have mine.

Shao Kahn is your bog standard villain but he looks good doing it and he's also one of the most physically powerful villains in video games mainly with his raw power and strength too bad his MK11 counterpart is a jobber

Well... This is a review. What's the point of doing a review without fully reviewing the item? If it only told you stuff you already knew, the video would be useless.
Easy buddy, I was feeding you a compliment, hence the "I wouldn't expect anything less." I've grown to expect such expertise since you custom make figures yourself meaning you know the ins and outs of what makes a good figure. I felt the praise of this figure in your review, but you were compelled to "nit pick" at the flaws which were few and minor...hence, the jest of "nit picky shit." In no way did I mean being some "nit picky shit" as a criticism. That's the feature.
