Any tips on how to install the rod end stiffeners, it seems simple but I am having issues lining up the holes for the pins and at the same time keeping the rod ends tight. Is it ok to have one end a little loose.... awesome videos man
Thanks Chris 🤗. It's perfectly normal to have a little play at either or both ends of the brace rod ends. I normally just do a 1/2 turn in or out until the pins line up with the holes. Sometimes a tap with a small hammer is helpful to get the pin started or a slight flex on the tower if needed. The stock pins can definitely bend. Bent pins don't remove or insert easily. That's why I prefer the hardened steel M2C option. 🍻
You mentioned putting M5x25mm screws in the bulkheads. Did you put those in all bulkhead screw mounts or only the closest to the front for the rear bulkhead and the closest to the rear for the front bulkhead? You have a picture by chance?
That's correct Jim 👍. The outward facing 2 screws will take a 20mm on both ends vs the stock 16mm. The ones I mentioned will take 25mm no problem, possibly longer. 🍻

Man that sounds awesome 😱. Excited you're getting back into the hobby. I was out of it for well over 20 years myself. The DBXL-E is great, but it won't bash like an ARRMA 8s can. Probably best for going fast and doing moderate jumps from what my friends have experienced and shared during meet ups. These 8s rigs have set a different standard for what's possible in my mind. The value is definitely there for this scale with these new RTR EXB's and the aftermarket upgrade options are extensive if you enjoy modifying. 🍻
