Whew, I was glad to see this video as I always wondered why you used that other stuff when you changed fluids. I used the Ford synthetic in my trans and shifter and Redline in the diff. I could feel the difference especially with the bronze bushing in the shifter.
Yep. The other stuff was just a place holder, but to be honest I don't think there is that much of a difference, at least not with totally new fluids. I'm sure the Ford stuff will hold up over time better.
The exhaust sounds good! The only fluid that really matters on any car is the blinker fluid! I think a funny vid would be of Kelly learning how to drive a manual transmission
Wow, what a playlist! I just recently found one of your Miata videos and had to go back to watch the whole series. You both really brought this car back to life! Any update for paint?
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers I look forward to it. I hope to see some Miata merch in the shop sometime in the future! For the time being, I think I'll represent the channel with a XDD cap.
The general consensus is that the Ford Unicorn Tears really make a huge difference in the 6 speeds, but that Redline works best in the 5 speeds. It completely transformed my 10AEs 6 speed transmission... a world of difference. I had previously tried the redline that everyone is gaga over and it didn't really help the 6 speed.
hey yal i dig the build as i have a 91 i built as well, well still modding lol but i really like the content and how in-depth you have gone with the miata and i am looking forward to further check out the channel and also to watch the prelude build as i saw its playlist .... peace n love all keep it rad stay safe and build on famz l8z
Dude Super Tech trans oil sucks, it ruined the trans on my Accord! The Miata is too damn nice a toy to be run on that stuff, good thing you guys have the Ford (still scratching head) oil in there now. I see the Miata inching to the spray booth...
Hey JC! Yeah, the Super Tech was always going to be temporary. The new stuff is nice. This car is really starting to come together. I can't wait to not have to work on it anymore. LOL. Thanks for watching.
Honda manuals are a little weird and a bit picky on the fluids they like. you can use a 75w90 but use a high quality one like amsoil severegear or motul. My buddy and I ran a cocktail that was 1 quart honda genuine and almost a full quart of motul gear 300 75w90. so its still mostly honda stuff but topped off with motul and it seems to work really well.

Looking at my fluid filler like the one you got right in front of me while you’re talking about your own.
Redline for the 5 speed. My 97 NA and 99 NB really love it. Zero issues.
Yeah, Redline is good stuff. Thanks for watching.
Redlie MT90?
It's good stuff too.
I hope she's experiencing the before and after too. It's a learning experience for everyone including her.
This fluid is still going on. Great trans fluid.

It's coming! We'll see how she does!

Thanks! No update yet on paint, but we do have a power upgrade coming soon and will be back to the dyno! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. Thanks for watching.

How can I check the transmission fluid level on my manual 91?
You can't. Drain and fill with stuff.

Pennsoil Synchromesh is the way to go with Hondas. That's what I use in the Prelude.
how did these vids not get views
TH-cams algorithm blows.
You say it is unicorn tears yet your just now putting it in?
Yep! Don't delay! It's still in there and shifting great!
CLEAN
Thanks!
