Not understanding the "light as a feather, stiff as a board" reference is perfect - It's Halloween season, go watch "The Craft (1996)" - It's a great film & perfect timing for you both.
Please react to Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants, great episode that came out at a very important time, right after 911. It's a classic Cartman episode.
For realll! That performance is one of my favorite in the show. It’s just this shrill, ugly scream that you can totally hear a parent screaming, coming to terms with the death of their own kid. I hate the Stotch parents for all the crap they put Butters through. But being forced to think their only son is dead, and in such a horrific way, is something they didn’t deserve to be put through.
I've seen this episode more times than I can count and I just realized how similar that whole "death" sequence is to Hereditary. The haunting screaming definitely adds to the moment
I love the fact that Butters’ parents never go through the stage of denial and loving that they have their kid back knowing it might not be it like the parents from actual Pet Cemetery movies.
The Craft came out in 1996. We were doing “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board” as early as 1989. My brother had some friends sleep over, and we did the game.
I didn't mean that the game itself was a reference to The Craft, I meant that the scene in the episode was a reference to them playing the game in The Craft, since it's being done at a girl's sleep over.
Just as a FYI, Light as a Feather Stiff as a Board is a real slumber party game. One participant lies stiff on the ground while all remaining participants use only two fingers each and raise the laying participant off the ground.
Clydes outburst at the beginning is one of my all time favourite south park moments as irs so random. Why did he defend cartman so strongly? Why was he so mad at stan and kyle? Why did he have an accent? So many questions and the fact that even cattman was confused that he came to his defense makes it so much funnier to me
4:43 That movie traumatized me more as an adult. Because now I have kids...... the kite string...... the shoe. Then, BAM! We're in this room with me, a 38 year old combat veteran trying super hard not to cry hysterically in front of my wife and kids.
its a real life party trick often done at childrens slumber parties. Stereotypicaly a girls party. A group of people all use two finger to lift a person who is flexing off the ground. Its a bit of an illusion/ physics thing. a bunch of people all lifting at the same time with only two fingers if timed right, distributes the wieght in such a way that it feels like lifting 5-15 pounds instead of the full body weight of the person being lifted. Wikipedia goes into the physics part better than I probebly described. Game has been around since the 1700s.
Summer, 1988 Blue Lake Music Camp, MI. 3 AM. Inside our log cabin in the woods. My cabin mates and our counselor. He told us of the "Lore" of the surrounding woods. Lit by one candle light, he told the story in hushed tone while our volunteer lay in the middle of the floor. My fellow campers and I sat legs crossed around him, palms up, with only two fingers touching to perform the levitation. Our counselor with two fingers on each temple to support the head. As he continued the story, the theater of the mind; now in the dark, in the woods, in a cabin, began to project. Our counselor's story was more like a hypnotic suggestion at this point... Time seemed meaningless now. Demensional paths to distant realms. And at the peak of trance-like state: Everyone chants the words, "Light as a feather, stiff as a board..." The candle in the corner of the room went out, then my cabin mates and I began to lift our friend...
My sister and her friends used to do the light as a feather thing. You're supposed to be able to pick the person in the middle with everyone only using 1 finger.
It’s been 4 months since the last video I watched on this channel can wait for this South Park Seinfeld era to be over so I have something to watch again
This is such an awesome episodes, when kids are being kids. But its also philosophical, so it works in different levels :) One of the best episodes ever
I haven’t seen the movie in many MANY years, but the Pet Sematary book is easily one of my favorite Stephen King books, and I’ve read most of them. I think he’s even said it’s one of the most terrifying in his opinion.
Knowing South Park, I was expecting a zombie pig to rise from the grave, and maybe even compete with the real Butters for his parents' affection. Knowing Butters' parents, they might have even sided with the pig.
lmao I almost choked on a pretzel when he said "Juwanna man" because not even 5 mins ago I texted my friend about that movie because I'm watching the WNBA Finals.
There were 3 movies that scared the living daylights out of me as a child. Pet Sematary, Poltergeist and Children of the Corn. I was way too young to watch those movies lol.
Can’t wait until the holidays for you folks to do Christmas Snow, Woodland Critter’s Christmas, and the other Xmas episodes. Must watch in my house during the season.
Butter Episodes are the best 👶🏼. Time for Anthony to react to Pet Cemetery 🐈⬛ , Kacee to read the book for Pet Semetery, and react to Jeepers Creepers for Spooky Season 🎃

Great video! Please react to the episode, 'Proper condom use'.
It's CRAZY! 😂
I recommend the episode "Bebe destroys society".

South Park S26E03 Japanese Toilet
Hilarious Episode With A Real Message
I swear the guy checking the pulse then saying “He… he didn’t make it” will never not be funny😂
Yup, that's my favorite part of the episode. Well, I guess it's tied for my favorite with Butters' "Can I just have some Spaghetti-Os?" at the end.
Don’t forget “lezzing out”! 😆
Lol.
That and "Think of the POWER!" 😂 This is a great episode
The voice actress for Mrs Stotch gave one of the most iconic screams ever!!!
Followed by the "he didnt make it" 😭😭
Yeah, Mona Marshall is pretty good at this.

yea good point, that was a great scream
"Alright, in this scene just act like you witnessed your son turn into jell-o
Absolutely. She threw her whole ass into every scene.
My favorite butters episode! I got another to add to your patreon poll. "Cartman Sucks" another Cartman-Butters episode
Do the "poor and the stupid" and "the Hobbit", please
@@richardolson170Poor and Stupid is definitely a favorite of mine
Cartman Sucks is brilliant!
He's my accountabilabuddy and I'm accountabilabuddyable for him
So it took 20 years before I got the Butters/Margarine joke. It always just went over my head and I never noticed it.
I love the fact that Butters’ parents never go through the stage of denial and loving that they have their kid back knowing it might not be it like the parents from actual Pet Cemetery movies.
As someone mentioned, the light as a feather stiff as a board game is a real game. It's also a reference to the movie The Craft, I believe.
Spot on
The Craft came out in 1996. We were doing “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board” as early as 1989. My brother had some friends sleep over, and we did the game.
It goes back to the 1600s. When you distribute the weight between 6 to 8 people it's very easy to lift someone.
I didn't mean that the game itself was a reference to The Craft, I meant that the scene in the episode was a reference to them playing the game in The Craft, since it's being done at a girl's sleep over.
We used to do it in the 70's...my older sisters did it during a sleepover and it blew my mind!!! I was like 4....then they showed me a ouji board
"Think of the POWER!"
I agree with Cartman. I wouldn't have destroyed it. I would have grabbed it and run.
“I’m sorry son, but… you’re a demon spawn now. You’re an abomination.” 😂 that always kills me
"can i just have some spaghettios" 💀
LMAO! Perfect ending!
My mom and I loved watching South Park before she passed. It's so fun watching you guys love Butters because he was her favorite character by far!
Just as a FYI, Light as a Feather Stiff as a Board is a real slumber party game. One participant lies stiff on the ground while all remaining participants use only two fingers each and raise the laying participant off the ground.
Yup, me and friends did that and the highest we got some one was close to 5ft. We were not kids all of us 15 and up. 2 fingers. Very wild.

"Who's Butters?"
one of my favorite lines. 😞
Please do a pet sematary reaction together!
It would definitely make a great Halloween reaction video
And The Craft apparently.
cat's eye!
Pet cemetery terrified me, the original holds up.
Have they watched the Spookyvision episode yet?? That would pair perfectly with Pet Sematary! The original, of course.
"But if they all start, you know, lezzing out, just roll with it."
Some sage advise from Cartman.
Clydes outburst at the beginning is one of my all time favourite south park moments as irs so random.
Why did he defend cartman so strongly?
Why was he so mad at stan and kyle?
Why did he have an accent?
So many questions and the fact that even cattman was confused that he came to his defense makes it so much funnier to me
It's gotta be a reference to something
Cartman calling butters a black asshole had me rolling
Same lmao 😂😂 why that, of all things?!
I'll say it again... Butters' mom VA freakin' nails it. Perfect acting.
Lite as a feather, stiff as a board is a real thing. It was popular in the 1970s - 1980s. It was a weird party trick.
@10:38 "Damn Kenn..!" 🤣🤣🤣
Light as a feather stiff as a board is a real sleepover thing, me and my friends did it after seeing The Craft lol! :)
Kacee's affection for Butters is so adorable
Their criticisms of Butters' being 'flat' reminded me of the premise in "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society" (S6 Ep10). 🤣
Grounded Vindaloop!!! You must watch it. Starts off as a Butters episode but takes some super crazy twists and turns. A top 5 episode imo.
"He didn't make it" 😂
Easily one of the best Butters’s episodes!!! “You think I’m ugly and I’m flat!!” 😂
Your guys love of sports movies means you'll LOVE Baseketball.
I never got the Margarine vs Butter joke. 😂
... God dammit. Neither did I! 😅
i legit coughed up my drink when butters gets called away from dancing to JT and it's angry Cartman on the other line
It’s that stupid little thing! 😂 That’s what us boys really thought of those fortune tellers!
4:43 That movie traumatized me more as an adult. Because now I have kids...... the kite string...... the shoe.
Then, BAM! We're in this room with me, a 38 year old combat veteran trying super hard not to cry hysterically in front of my wife and kids.
Also watched Pet Cemetery as a little kid, thanks to my brother. To this day I don't like looking at rocking chairs 😂
The book Pet Sematary is very heavy and dark. The two adaptations couldn't even come close.
Where I was from, we called them Cootie Catchers (which is pretty common). And you guys should totally do Pet Sematery.
I'm proud of you for remembering to spell it correctly 👏 😊

Cartman: these images may be too shocking for young children
Butters: okay, I’m not looking
Man, Butters is just too innocent
Yeah, reacting to Pet Sematary (1989) is a good idea for this month of October.
My sister and her friends used to do the light as a feather thing. You're supposed to be able to pick the person in the middle with everyone only using 1 finger.
It works. We did it one time when I was a boy. About six of us picked up another boy.

Cartman: "YOU AREN'T THERE TO HAVE FUN YOU BLACK ASSHOLE!" Idk why tf he said that to Butters 😂😂😂
The guys laugh 😂❤ love it lol
I would LOVE to see you two tackle Pet Semetary and Jeepers Creepers back to back.
Jeepers creepers is scarier knowing the director/creators past crime...
Do the Original Pet Cemetery and the new recent Pet Cemetery !!!!
My favorite episodes are when they’re thinking more like children with the parallels of serious situations
‘Jeepers creepers as a CHILD’. That really hurt. Damn.
2:10 it’s funny because that’s actually Cartman’s future girlfriend

We called the paper things chatterboxes. And I remember the girls teaching the boys light-as-a-feather when we were 11 or 12.

Was just about to say the same lol
With the fortune teller bringing back 90s childhood memories, do you guys remember those bead geckos everyone used to make!? 😂

Considering Stephen may have grounded Butters after Trent Boyett tortured him, this could've been a good way for Butters to get away from his parents.

4:20 Ah, yes, a 'Pet Sematary' reference (or Cemetery if Stephen King knew how to spell). :)
He knows how to spell. The sign for the cemetery was made by kids, and they didn’t know how to spell it.

Light as a feather, stiff as a board was from the 1996 classic The Craft.
Can't believe you guys have never heard of light as a feather stiff as a board
