I got to see them live a few years ago and, halfway through the show, I realized that I'd been mostly looking past the talented lead singer and the beautiful girl on the keyboard to watch the wild animal on the drums. Dude plying his trade is a fun thing to watch.
My wife accidentally introduced me to this band by taking me to a Dan Mangan concert and now they are one of my favorite bands. One of my favorite part of their songs is I've driven through Frank's Slide several time, I've lived a block off the deathbridge in Lethbridge (Whoop Up Drive), I've seen the Enterprise in Vulcan and I've lived in Edmonton for a couple years. It adds extra meaning to those songs
Audiotree Live, thank you for existing. I have found so many great artists like these amazing individuals time and time again on your channel. To the band members of The Rural Alberta Advantage, you all play so well together and I love watching each of you perform your love of music and sharing it with the world.
I love this band! I hear them first when living in California, our firm was working on a contract for AOL music ?2012? and I immediately fell in love with their first album. I grew up in Alberta and could relate to the black friday song personally.. adore the feeling of the band.
I'm not sure how I wound up here but I'm so glad I did! Such a fantastic band! It is interesting listening to them talk about vinyl. I grew up on vinyl, 8-tracks, and cassettes. There is such a wonderful warmness to those things that you don't get with a CD, mp3, etc. A lot of people don't realize when music is digitized it is compacted so you loose a lot of the essence of the music. Long live vinyl!!
Some of these songs sound SO much better than on the original albums (they've come a long way as a band). Almost wish they'd re-record them or do a live session album or somesuch. "Muscle relaxants" is so different.
This was inspired by looping the song found at 15:00 of this performance. Thanks guys. Looking for Trouble by Patrick Alaggio March 10, 2017 Walking these dirty city streets looking for trouble Don’t care who jumps out or where they jump from Just lookin’ for someone to bring it on Stopped caring about the world or what it has in store for me Stopped believing in dreams I’m ready for trouble and ready for the end There’s nothing that frightens me There’s no fear in my steps A gang of kids cross the street at me I refuse to cross and increase my speed As they slow to a crawl and inspect the scene I take my hands out from my pockets Expose nothing but air and a lack of fear They look at each other and walk on by “What’s the matter”? I growl back “Not easy enough to roll tonight?” No mister, we ain’t looking for no trouble But trouble was my new name and caring was no longer my “thing” Not since you said goodbye to me So I walked and walked all night long hoping some fool would come along but the only fool I found was me . . .
this band is on that level where that a bass player is needed . the sound wont fill out without someone really thinking the song . auto generated can only go so far .
We used to host the full session videos exclusively on our website. Now, we are going through the archives and uploading all of these videos to TH-cam as well. This way our viewers have a choice of watching the individual songs or the full show with interview.
Paul is a beast on the drums. Such an underrated band.
Ian Wilson
Agreed! Coming from a fellow drummer, I was thinking the same thing! He's damn good!
@Ian hahaha the same for me!

My first time hearing this trio. I am impressed immensely. Thank you for letting me listen.

Love this band. I'm so excited to see them live. I got tickets to see them August 7th. Not a bad choice for first post pandemic concert.
Anyone who's loving these guys should also listen to their older song Frank AB. Got me into the band and I'm loving them.
drummer kills it
My favourite part of this band.
Wow the drums are so crisp...awesome job. Whole set was fantastic. Listening now on Google Play Music.
Damn. Three people? Amazing, simply AMAZING. Love RAA.
They opened for the hip. Blew me away. Paul on the drums wow
Amy really does the work of four musicians.
And Paul does the work of about four drummers.
Drummer and drum beat was awesome - whole band rocks ... great ! How have I not heard of these guys

Looking for Trouble

Walking these dirty city streets looking for trouble
Don’t care who jumps out or where they jump from
Just lookin’ for someone to bring it on
Stopped caring about the world
or what it has in store for me
Stopped believing in dreams
I’m ready for trouble and ready for the end
There’s nothing that frightens me
There’s no fear in my steps
A gang of kids cross the street at me
I refuse to cross and increase my speed
As they slow to a crawl and inspect the scene
I take my hands out from my pockets
Expose nothing but air and a lack of fear
They look at each other and walk on by
“What’s the matter”? I growl back
“Not easy enough to roll tonight?”
No mister, we ain’t looking for no trouble
But trouble was my new name
and caring was no longer my “thing”
Not since you said goodbye to me
So I walked and walked all night long
hoping some fool would come along
but the only fool I found was me . . .
Excellent drumming
Drummer is beast ! Great band !
so beautiful
Absolutely love these guys
Great band!!!
Great drumming
Vulcan is such a great tune
My first CD was Pump by Aerosmith quickly followed up by AC/DC Razor's Edge
Nice!
I like that!!
Enjoyed that opening. :P
Can't wait for the border to open again, I miss this band! Can Am Friendship to the end!
Damn. I love them but they are beasts
The drums and vocals have a Celtic vibe that I usually associate with the Maritimes.
*Love it !!!*
Perhaps *"Rural Alberta On Fire"* would be more appropriate name for these guys... 🐳

What's with the rack tom totally crushing the mix??
Should list the times and names of the songs eh
yes you should Josh
What is the rotary phone mic there?
He sings in to it at the start of "Vulcan, AB' (around 19:00). Weirdly the 'mic' is in the earpiece part.
10th time listening, just a guess. I'm a little worried I Saw them live in the cavern but I was having a little too much fun... so I'm not sure.
i've listened to this so many times it's starting to skip
Amy is a beast. This band would have 5 members without her
Is this a re-upload?

Audiotreetv Oh, okay! Awesome! Thanks for sharing these on TH-cam now!
I was like "what new album?"
If your bandname includes a Canadian placename, federal regulations require at least one member wear a tuque during live performances.
Woah lawyer drummer
Best thing an ex girlfriend ever did for me was introduced me to this band.
how did he connected old phone? what about feedback?
Any one else think of brick and mortar
LOL, what's with the anti-CD bigotry? Tolerance, AudioTree!!!
Why is the host so weird
Trying so hard...
