-Down B is Descending Darkness
-Normal B is the spiraling slash
-Up B is Monarch Wings
-Dashing could be Shade Cloak
-Final Smash could be dream Nail
-He could be a light weight character
-He could wall bounce

Up smash could be the spell I forgot the name of.
Dodging would more likely be the shade cloak, I mean, he could already run with the sprintmaster charm

I've never heard of Hollow Knight until this E3. Tried, and instantly got hooked. This game is so good.

Touch of Chaos It's one of the biggest, most open, beautiful looking and sounding games I have ever played. Really hard to put down, fairly challenging, a huge amount of content (EASILY 20 hours per save file). Imposing bosses, fascinating characters, non-intrusive story telling, it has it all, man. Fantastic metroidvania and game, mostly made by three people (and a composer) on a budget of 60k. Easily top 3 of my absolute favorites.

But whatever you do, DO NOT look up any of the lore, one of the best things about this game is figuring out the cryptic lore behind everything.

Yeah, everyone needs to own this.
Team cherry knows that not everyone can afford their game, had the price been higher. They are independent and have judged that they would not focus on the material aspect of their creation. They see their work as art. Too precious to compare with the game industry.
It's the only game I went and bought and full price while I could get a discount I chose not.
I also believe that they won't increase the price on the sequel, because of their point of view of who should has access to their work. Hollow knight is, in my opinion, the best video game from every aspect.

It's amazing. I recommend you get it. The art, mechanics, music, etc. all blend into a perfect masterpiece of a game. I can't recommend it enough.

This actually puts the bar quite high for Metroid 4. Hopefully they can compete because Hollow Knight is one heck of a game!
Klein Paul Hollow Knight has set a bar for both Metroidvanias and Indies in general.
Metroid 4 came out in 2002. You mean Metroid Prime 4, which is a 3D Metroidvania/First-Person-Shooter... they're not competing at all, you know.

As a huge metroidvania fan, I'm currently 14 hours into the game, and it's the best metroidvania I've ever played
After SotN, yes
@@omegazx7236 SotN has a bunch of issues, you know. For example, if you just used a shield rod or farmed for the Crissaegrim, it becomes the easiest game in the world. It also doesn't offer much in terms of platforming, which was one of the mainstays of previous level based Castlevanias. Hollow Knight has no RPG elements and the only weapon upgrades you get is with upgrading your nail from Pale Ore. Basically, SotN was Dark Souls, and Hollow Knight is Sekiro, in the sense that combat is more engaging as a result of more streamlined progression.
@@gu3z185 you're not wrong but having an OP secret weapon you have to potentially farm hours for is not an issue imo, it's not like they give it straight to you
@@omegazx7236 I've seen a playthrough where they randomly got a Crissaegrim and steamrolled the rest of the game, the smartest way to add it would have been a separate side quest. SoTN is still great, but the weapon balance was just not there.
And thinking that I just play this game because I like the knight and now this game is one of the best games I ever played

If you are here and new to Hollow Knight. Please try this game. I found out about this game this year and love it. I even got my boyfriend into playing it. Without any spoilers given, it has around 5 endings, a lot of challenging bosses, and good DLCs. Plus the story is interesting.

I have been playing it since a month ago. I think I can say in the future this game will be remembered as one of the best in the history of video games.
Gorgeous art, charming characters, beautiful music, excellent gameplay, and a really generous price. Already own it on Steam and just purchased the Switch version. I highly recommend this game. 👍
I saw this game, and before even seeing too much of the gameplay I knew I wanted to play it. Here I stand now, with over 100 hours of gameplay and still haven’t completed pantheon of Hallownest

I'm guessing Limited Run or Nicalis might do it, they've both done really good jobs bringing out physical releases of assorted Switch indie titles (Limited Run even recently announced some surprises like they're handling the physical release of Yaooka-Laylee, a game that originally Playtonic said probably wouldn't get a physical Switch release like PS4 and Xbox One got).
I hope they do it after releasing the final pack, so the full game is on the cartridge.

I first played it pirated , then i bought it on steam, then i bought it on switch again. It's THAT worth it.

I got so lucky. I saw a single clip of this game and decided to get it as the first game on my switch
The absolute pinnacle of mertroidvania gaming. Graphics, sound, music, exploration, even the way HD rumble is used, simply amazing. My only complaint is they are undercharging for it. This game is worth at least 2-3 times more than what they're charging. The developers deserve to be compensated better for this masterpiece.
A 15$ game with free dlc and is better than most triple A games out in the market... Yep totally getting this one.

It's just because this game has tons of content and people believe that Team Cherry deserves a lot for their amazing work. We still appreciate the low prices, it's just kinda crazy they didn't charge for the dlc or anything

This game is a masterpiece. Just buying it for the atmosphere is a must.
Just finished my first playthrough of this, 38hrs and managed to do 83%, totally going back to try and get 100%! Amazing game with a very powerful message, interesting characters, amazing music, tight and fluid gameplay, difficult but not too difficult to put you off completely which I think is a fine art in itself, everyone who love platforming/metroidvania type games should play this! in fact, everyone who games should give it a go! :)

The wait has been intense, and the moment it came out, I have never bought a game so fast. Its fun, deep, cute and quirky, with huge dark themes in it. I was a little surprised that it was only 15 dollars, but I would have easily paid 60 for it. Just means more people can play it.
I have to wonder, if everyone knew what a masterpiece this game would be, how much better it would have done on Kickstarter. This is in my top 5, no doubt.

I swear if breath of the wild never got made, this would have won game of the year and it still deserves to be game of the year, I’m honestly surprised this game is as cheap as it is. It fits right at home on Switch. This game is one of the best Metroidvanias I’ve ever played.. it reminds me of Ori and the Blind Forest/Dark Souls. I highly recommend it to anyone.
