    Thank you for the video! I hurt my knee earlier this week and wasn't sure if I should make the drive to the Zion but it sounds like I can still make it work!

    I watched this video because I was interested in knowing what I could do there for a limited amount of time. I am looking on taking a tour bus from Las Vegas. Great video, but I think I still I need to do a little bit of research. Doing two provincial parks in one day would limit my time to 90 minutes and I don’t think that’s long enough.

      Glad you enjoyed the video! You’ll love any amount of time you spend in Zion, but 90 minutes at any National Park will limit all that you can see. Still a great place to stop if only for a little bit.

    5:00 please call the park before you plan to drive the canyon scenic drive. It is only open to personal vehicles during the off season (typically November - February). So many folks think the scenic drive is open year round and that is absolutely FALSE. With millions of visitors coming during the summer months it would be impossible for all those cars driving in the canyon. That is why there’s a shuttle system in place 😃. Do your homework before planning your trip.

    Isn't the Mount Caramel scenic drive and Zion Canyon Scenic drive the same thing?

    • @this-mobile-life
      @this-mobile-life  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive has a lot more stops and hikes to explore, Zion-Mount Carmel Highway is a more traditional scenic drive, with only a couple of major headlining hikes along the path, but with more scenic moments and beautiful geological formations to score pictures of.

      Hey Tekk00, you’re looking for Kolob Terrace Road for number 3. Thanks for watching and the feedback!

      Something to be aware of is that Kolob Terrace Road is accessed outside of the park boundary in the town of Virgin, and that it’s NOT the Kolob Canyon scenic drive located on the west side of ZNP’s boundary off of Interstate 15. 😊 Know before you go.

    Is this part of the Grand Canyon?

    • @this-mobile-life
      @this-mobile-life  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope, it is a separate national park and geological feature. Zion is about 245 miles northwest of the Grand Canyon's south rim.

    Did you use drone ? Is yes how did you get the permit?

    • @this-mobile-life
      @this-mobile-life  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, using drones comes with a lot of regulation, licensing, and permits; especially around National Parks. While I used to be a Part 107 certified drone pilot, I no longer am, as well as no longer own a drone. We did not shoot the drone footage ourselves, rather we used a stock video service that had drone shots available for purchase to add to our video.

    Hiking is the reason to go to Zion. I did see a 90 year old woman on a shuttle bus. Her and her family were just on a bus sight seeing your, but almost all visitors to Zion are there to hike.

      @@Twilightsummerbreeze The shuttle buses make it possible for visitors to see Zion canyon even if they never get off the bus. If you go past Angels Landing and ascend on the rim trail you will be rewarded with moments of being alone in silence. It’s wonderful.

    • @this-mobile-life

      Agreed, pretty neat that you can see most of the major features in the park, just from the buses!

    • @rayray4192
      @rayray4192 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ item is not the proper word. Features may be a better word. The shuttle buses serve a transportation need. At the end of the line, up canyon, is the flat Riverwalk trail that almost anyone can manage. People can walk along the Virgin river up to the start of the narrows.
