I lived in Southern Utah over 30 years and have been to Zion hundreds of times. I have heard so many people say how amazing the Angels Landing hike is, but I am deathly afraid of heights. But when I turned 40 I decided to face one of my biggest fears and attempt the hike. My best friend took me. I was so terrified going up, but she kept me going. The view is so amazing and will forever be seared in my mind. I am so grateful I finally went. The hike down was so much worse for me. The sandstone is slippery and when you pass people someone has to let go of the chain to pass. I cried the whole way down...how embarrassing!! But Im still thrilled I did it.
..always trust your gut feelings. Especially when your life depends on it. Crowded trails are not safe. Glad you went back . You made a great decision ❤️ hugs
Yep - even Alex Honnold when he started his climb without any ropes changed his mind when got about 20 feet up. He called off the climb as at a gut level he didn't feel things were right. Some days later he completed the climb.
Congratulations on getting it done on your second try. I attempted the final section some years ago. I was doing good until someone on the other side of the chains bumped into me. My heart rate immediately went to about 150 beats per minute. When I got my heart rate under control, I turned around and went back. I have always regretted not giving it another try. Way to go!
One of the most important things you say in this video is that you trust yourself but you don't trust other people on the last part of that climb. I did it earlier this year and folks were being ridiculous and impatient. It's an experience that can be easily ruined by that type of stuff. Safety first, at all times ✌🏻 Congrats on making it to the top. It's worth it in the end
🌿🙏🕊 just last week, on the News, someone fell. I went up to the chains, & 2 many people. When I saw them passing each other without holding on, I'm like "Nope". I'm with you Sara, what if they start to fall and grab me for safety 🙄
Angels landing is a pleasant hike we hiked it many times in our sixties.. In summer if you sit still at the top humming birds get really close about two inches away. The bus system now spoils the enjoyment of the park.
thank you for keeping in the part about not finishing! i plan on going to utah one day but im very afraid of heights.. i don't think i'd ever do the chain section but i feel so much more validated and this video made me feel a lot better. thank you!
We skipped this one when we went to Zion because my husband and I are terrified of heights!!! We’ll just have to live vicariously through you ❤️❤️ awesome video!
Great job trusting your gut - sometimes a hike one day is great and the next not possible. You didn't chicken out you trusted what you felt was safe - and you were able to go back and try again.
Way to go, and great support for one another as well. I just love you… and I accept that I will never hike Angel’s or Half Dome. That’s why I have you❤️
I think Angels landing is more scary on pictures and videos so you may not want to give up in it yet. I'm very scared of falling and heights and I conquered Angels Landing relatively easy but Half Dome is something I won't do as I got half way and swore never to to back.
I'm afraid of heights and I just did this hike this morning. I had to always cling onto the chain and always stay as far away from the edge as possible. I was nervous, but I'm glad I did it.
I went there just today, and to anyone experienced with hiking rocky terrain, this isn’t so bad. If you have no fear of heights, or are trying to overcome that fear, please come to the angels landing! Keep in mind that the hike up to the angels landing is already tedious, so bring lots of food and water. I didn’t wear the proper gear, and my feet were blistering like crazy. We had to go back because everyone was cramping. The view is worth all that paranoia! Don’t bring anyone who you could worry about (kids, pets) because that will ruin the experience.
We just got back from a week visiting Zion, Bryce and others in the area. I totally understand your stance. People crossing the barriers, standing on rails, laying over the edge of cliffs, ect just wears on you over time. If they want to end it by being foolish that's fine but don't take me with you.
Nicely done! Thank you guys for video taping your adventure! Of all the videos I have watched of people making this hike, you guys have had the most of actual footage climbing and showing what the climb looks like. I feel better now with see what to expect when I go in the spring.
I went three years ago, around the 4th of July holiday. It was 105 degrees, and I was about to undergo spinal fusion a few weeks later, so my balance was so-so. I realized as I got halfway along the trail, with hordes of people climbing over me, or trying to take selfies, that it was not the smartest thing to be doing at that point. I vowed to go back and finish it, but I'm starting to think that, if I never check this off my bucket list, I'll still be able to live with myself.
We had the permit and got there late September in the afternoon. So although they limit hiker numbers it was still crowded. My husband is afraid of heights and did not even want to try after I showed him some videos. For me it was your quote coming to my mind then: I trust myself but I don't trust people. I guess I could have handled it in a group of 10 who move one way accompanied by a ranger giving advise, or if hooked into the chains. We enjoyed the hike and the views before the chain section and made a younger and braver couple happy who wanted to do the final section but didn't win the lottery for a permit by giving them ours. I had goosebumps just watching your 2nd try! Way to go! 😮❤
So glad you gave it another shot! I did this hike back in 2017 and watching you guys go back down from the top brought back that old anxiety I felt. I definitely agree about the crowds making it way more sketchy! There were wayyyy too many people up there the day I went!
It took me 15 years to convince my wife there is a difference between hiking shoes and street athletic shoes. Unprepared or under-prepared hikers are scary to watch. Thanks for the video and glad you got your moment.
yes ..... i thought the same thing --- i wish that Sara had on a pair of Merrills --- Just as I wouldn't trust that climb in sneakers, i would also not trust a drive through Death Valley in a VW with worn tires
Steep steep falloffs on both sides can easily freak you out. Next get a permit to hike the subway in Zions. Hiking with fewer people because permits required. Minor repelling, ropes required, the best part where you have to swim underwater to get through a hole. Lots of slot canyons keeps you in the shade and lots of hiking through the river. Awesome..i love Utah
Sara, I am so proud of you! You pushed yourself to the top. I am the same way. I did Angels Landing four weeks ago and felt such a sense of personal pride because I pushed myself to make it to the top. The best reward was the view and the huge stack of pancakes I ate when I got back into town. Chris, I’m proud of you too. Not only making it to the top, but being an encourager. Great job guys!
@@chrisandsara Angel's Landing is deadly and people should listen to their fears. That is one of the most dangerous trails in the world and MOST people should not even attempt it.
From a 72 year old man, after teaching music for 48 years, now a man with nothing but a pretend bucket list. I will say, you took me to the top of my list of things I 'wish' I could do now that I am retired. Honestly, it was even a bit small bit challenging to watch you two around those chains, etc. I also agree with you on your comment about TMP - Too Many People. You were wise to toss our your pride and try the next day. now, next on my list is the Dome - so I will look for your youtube on the Dome hike... I hope can find it. BE CAREFUL! things can happen in your own living room, ya know... example: slipping on your dog's pee and breaking a bone! :-)
Sometimes people should listen to their fear. I don't honestly think she should have taken on this hike- though I guess I am happy for her that she can cross it off her list. She just wasn't confident and if she slipped I don't think she would have been able to hang on. Her grip looked very weak.
Way to go!! I've done Half Dome and I'm much more afraid of Angel's landing! I've tried it once and turned back about the same place you did, after the first section of chains. Way too many people (some that were very impatient) too windy and the fact that we had 3 young teens with us had me making the wise decision to turn back. I hope to get back someday and conquer this fear!
I stayed at Zion National Park in 2002, and everyday, twice a day, I would run from the valley floor up to the top of Angel’s Landing. It part of processing a very hard life event and something about that valley helped. I’ll never forget a huge rainstorm that came through there and the sides of the valley began to be dotted with multiple waterfalls. I went pre season which is always the best time to avoid big crowds.
I am 67 years old now. When I was 8 years old, my family had a big family reunion in Zions. We did the Angles Landing hike ON HORSES! They used to have riding stables there and they led groups up there all the time! Going back several times since then as an adult, I cannot believe that anyone would ride horses up that thing to the top! What were my parents thinking??? A few weeks after we got home, my Mother told me that the guide who had led us up there, that his horse had bolted and they both went off the cliff and were killed.. I would NEVER let a child ride a horse up Angles Landing! I still have dreams about it occasionally!
Just to be clear, we rode horses up the exact way you hike up there now, to the top. Obviously we did not ride horses where the chains are at the very top, but had lunch at the top flat part just before the chains, then rode back down again. When I look at those steep switchbacks just before the top now, I just cringe thinking we were on horses going up those! It was terrifying!
Oh my gosh! 😳 I can’t imagine riding horses up that!! You’re definitely braver than I am! That’s a crazy and sad story about the guide, too. Definitely stay safe out there. Zion is incredibly beautiful but those drop offs are frightening.
@@chrisandsara Well, I was 8 years old and just followed the family. There were probably 10 horses at a time, pretty mellow horses I recall (thank heaven). The guide had a more feisty white horse and as I had said earlier, his horse went over the cliff with him a few weeks later my mother said was in the news. Very sad. But it should never have been allowed! It is dangerous enough on foot but to ride a horse up those cliffs and switchbacks to the top, insane!
DO NOT feel badly about this Sara ...... When i was a kid at Summer Camp in Maine 60 years ago, i chickened out on our group trip to Mt. Washington in New Hampshire's White Mountains. I was born with birth defects, not the least of which was clubbed feet and one leg longer than the other, requiring surgery when i was an infant ..... But, nonetheless, i was ashamed -- and so, 10 years later i made my own trip, leading kids to Mt. Washington.... and we intentionally came down on the Six Husbands Trail on Mt. Jefferson. It was somewhat reminiscent of Angels Landing, with chains and some wooden steps..... my heart was in my mouth, but i overcame my fears and completed the saga
We just got back from zion. Our neighbors at our camp site were from Germany and Switzerland, both experienced hikers. It was so crowded they almost made it to the top and stopped due to the crowds. He said people were careless and some not experienced. He trusted his gut and did not finish. Smart move, and they are experienced hikers. There are people up there that have no business being up there and make it risky for others. He said he is not one that has to prove anything to anyone but himself and it was not worth dying for.
That makes me feel better. I had a thought that maybe I was overreacting but better safe than sorry. I'm glad your campground neighbors felt they could turn around, too. Nothing is worth losing your life at the expense of someone's else's inexperience!
Good job!! I'm impressed you did the tedious switchback section twice! Zion is my favorite of all the national parks. I hope you hike The Narrows also because that's even better. (Btw, the correct pronunciation of Zion rhymes with lion.)
Amazing the amount of people in there! When hiked it a few years ago in the summer there were just a handful of ppl in the last part! I found a really scared couple in the middle part and had to help them up and down the trail! It was an amazing experience! I have some great shots of the place.
I was there last year 2022 and I ran from the welcome center up to angels landing. I wanted to catch sunrise. I wouldn’t pressure anyone if they’re not comfortable. For me, it’s a nice rock scramble/ish. I enjoyed it. Much more interesting than some regular hikes. Also I got a permit for half dome, and I really enjoyed that too. I like half dome better because of the great scenery’s, the mental and challenge up half dome, and the waterfalls. Glad you gave it a second go!
I get the Heebie-jeebies just watching your hike while sitting on my couch. My legs are weak and I feel slightly nauseous in my own home. I personally can’t imagine hiking this trail. It was difficult for me just to watch the video! I give the both of you props just trying to do this.
Fear lets you know that you are alive. Kudos for returning and making it all the way. I knew you could do it. *smile* NOW..... WOW!!!! what an awesome place to be. I'm sure the hike was worth it. Thank you for taking me along. *grin* Until next time...... Travel Safe.
Wow guys! That's amazing. Thank you for filming and sharing this experience. I use to love to hike, but I developed an autoimmune disorder last year that has changed that. Thanks for taking me up 🙂
Oh my goodness!! Congratulations on this incredible accomplishment! Thanks for taking us along as we will never take on this challenge! Great video~Cara 😊
Anywhere else in the world, this looks like it would be a via ferrata route. Good for you for making it. I get vertigo so bad I wouldn't have made it up the first bit.
Im not upset you stopped, safety first, I would have done the same exact thing, its not worth it, you can't trust your life with other people like that. That view you had at the 12 minute mark where you was talking to cam about quitting was great enough. I haven't done this hike yet but I look forward to getting to where you got to, or getting the permit to hike it with less people on. Stay safe and keep up the great adventures. Following you now and I can't wait to start sharing the new adventures I've been on recently.
Oh “Wow”, y’all are so brave! I’m glad we got to see your experience, thank you so much! I don’t blame you Sara, the people passing you on your way back down made me a little nervous for you. Y’all are “Awesome”!
I did it back in May.. The trick to me was to never look down. Just look at the next step in front of you. But now you have the memory! So many great hikes in Southern Utah. I love that part of the country. Perfect climate....
Oh my gosh - this was great!! I love your comment about Half. Dome! I am super nervous and hesitant about Angel's Landing but I've done Half Dome so maybe just maybe I'll do Angels Landing!! Thank you.
Amazing video and courage. My grandson works at Zion and hikes Angels Landing a couple times a week. Watching your video made me feel close to him. Safe travels!
My husband and I quit at the same part as you did. We were there September 2019. I am a mom and I could not risk my life for my children. I was very thankful for the part we did walk and also thankful for the part we did not complete. Thnx for the video.
Half dome chains seem so difficult! but about to do this hike and one of the worries I have is the amount of people on the chains. Hopefully with the permit, it isn't too bad!
My teenage daughters hiked Angels Landing…but there is no way I’d ever do it. My friend took his 8 year old granddaughter up Angels Landing. Crazy. that sandstone gets slippery…so glad it’s permit only now…
I hiked Angels Landing last month. Angels Landing wasn’t as bad as I had envisioned. Obviously you shouldn’t go on Angels Landing if you’re afraid of heights in any way. Angels Landing is most definitely a hike that demands your attention and concentration with every step. Angels Landing is most definitely a hike that demands common sense. Common sense like not turning your back to a 1000ft cliff to take a selfie. A number of fatalities on Angels Landing have been caused by foolish behavior like that. There are some scary areas on the hike where you should feel some fear and nervousness. However, I strongly believe that having a healthy amount of fear and nervousness is actually a good thing that prevents you from doing something foolish on a hike like Angels Landing. Set your own pace on the hike, and be courteous to others in letting them pass you when it is safe to do so if they want to hike faster than you. The view from the summit of Angels Landing is absolutely amazing, and is well worth the effort! Personally I would hike Angels Landing again if I returned to Zion NP.
Oh My! Stunning vista's. I grew up in AZ camping and hiking but those are Terrifying drop-off's. As usual, love the music from start throughout. Talk about overcoming, Huge congratulations 👏 One of your Best. Stay safe friends, James and Kim ❤
Hey…it doesn’t matter if you quit, it’s better safe. If you fell is not right for you….just enjoy the views, and be happy. You’re such nice people, you talk so nicely to each other ….your life is the most precious thing.
I did the same hike back in April, i stopped at the chains because we had people running around us and it just seemed too dangerous, glad to hear they are issuing permits thought because it is definitely too many reckless people.
@@chrisandsara yeah, we plan on going back next year so hopefully I’ll be able to do it then! Still beautiful and the views feom the first part of the hike alone were worth it
We live pretty close to Zion. In the 7 years we've lived here, I went up Angel's Landing once. It was a bucket list item and I did it. I have no desire to do it again. While I was on my up, a turkey vulture flew about five feet from my head. Felt like it was going to knock me off. Any time there is a sign with a scoreboard on how many people have died doing a hike, it makes you think twice about proceeding. A couple of weeks after I made it to the top, we had our first snow. A man died hiking that trail at night, in the snow. Alcohol was involved. None the less, my bosses manager made me promise to never do it again. Zion is our favorite national park. We generally go in early spring or fall (after the last or before the first snow). The park is less crowded. I did not have to pass anyone going up and only a couple coming down. You did the right thing. Only go if you're feeling up to it. A friend of mine keeps count of how many people die hiking in Utah every year. Many eople are not smart about how they get ready to hike. They think they are at Disney World. The state of Utah is willing to allow you to kill yourself.
I need a husband like this. Mine just wants to stay home and watch TV, eat, and complain constantly. I want to leave so bad. Life is too short to spend it like this.
I know your post isn't recent but as a senior you don't have to do everything together. Married 47 years, both with different interests at times. I've taken international flights on my own. Find a girlfriend or family member to travel with, it gives you confidence.
I just did this amazing hike yesterday Friday Oct 31, Happy Halloween 🎃 my wife did had a panic attack at the beginning of the hike where there is no chains...😅 She returned and I kept going... Great video!
The most TERRIFYING thing I have ever done. did it a few months back and it was SUPER CROWDED and it is SUPER DANGEROUS. Would I do it again ?? Probably not. There was a lady who had a defcon 5 meltdown on the stairs and everyone was having to climb over her. She sat there for over two hours sobbing. You definitely have to talk yourself off the ledge LITERALLY and take your time.CONGRSTS ON YOUR ACHIEVEMENT 👐
Great footage! We hiked the trail in October and it was really crowded. The permits are definitely overdue..but you hit it right the second day. Congratulations on a tough hike!
I would never be able to do this hike-way to afraid of heights. So April 2021 I hiked to Observation Point on the east side of the park and overlooked Angel's Landing. It was absolutely beautiful!
Yea. You are not ready. I only went to in the middle after the chain section on my first try. I was scared too lol and my shoes weren’t the best. Just go back back and try again when you’re ready and you’ll know it. I did it all the way to the top last month. Now you know what to expect and be prepared for next try.
The only part that bothered me was when I had to let go of the chain to let someone coming down pass me going up. I had to stand with my back to a sheer drop off and nothing to hold on to. If they had bumped me at all I could have fallen so I was pretty nervous one of them would stumble and that would be it for me. I was pondering that if someone accidentally pushed me off if it would be fair play to take them with me?
This trail is way too crowded for as dangerous as that last section is. I’m glad to hear The National Park system will be using the permit system that many other popular areas have. Many people die on this trail. Cowboy boots? That’s ridiculous. I’ve done half dome and the chain section of that. I imagine it is similar but more crowded and narrow.
Wow!!! That looks like it was quite the experience. I am so proud of you for going back and tackling it again. Three weeks ago we (brother and I) were in Chattanooga, and it made me think of you because we did some of the things you shared in your video. This is another video where I have definitely learned about some cool places from you and wonder if you will be in my thoughts in the future if/when I try this climb. Thanks for sharing such an awe inspiring view/hike.
Wow! Love the 'woman on a mission' comment. Really enjoyed the story, your support for eachother, and the epic music/ editing. Thanks for sharing as that's a hike I'm 99% sure I could never do.
I was with you on the first day. I would pass. The crowds there were crazy. Too many other things to see and do without hordes of people ruining the experience.
My brother and I did angels landing when we were kids, I was 6 or 7 My brother would have been 10ish. My dad had no clue, he would have been back at the trailer and was now called the grotto picnic area but then was a campground. The solid bridge you see them crossing over the river at the beginning of the hike used to be a swinging rope bridge, we would jump up and down on it and start to get it swinging back and forth. If you watch the movie The Eiger Sanction with Clint Eastwood you'll see a pool and a bar in a scene. The pool was in front of the lodge, there used to be pictures of it in the lodge. Took my kids on Angel's landing when they were teenagers, think I might have been in my 40s this time, scared the crap out of me unlike when I was six. Anyway, thanks for the memories, and don't forget to turn left after you cross the river and go to the lower, middle and upper emerald pools, The upper emerald pool is totally worth the extra effort.
So glad they started using the permit system. That's the only bad part about Zion and Yellowstone... way too many people during the spring/summer. Fall and winter are better, but Zion seems to stay busy all year now.
Dear Chris and Sara, thank you for sharing this video! Planning to go to Zion in October/November of this year. Wanted to ask you: How long in advance did you apply for the permit and whay day of the week?time of the day did yiu start the hike on the second day when less people where in the trail? CHEERS!
Hi there! I'm not sure how far in advance you should apply for the permit because we hiked the trail a couple of months before permitting went into effect. The second day we went we started the trail a few minutes before sunrise. Make sure you bring a headlamp or flashlight though! :)
I’ve probably hike Angeles Landing 12 to 15 times since 1985. I haven’t hiked it in six or more years - my wife Becky wasn’t up to it anymore - however there are more chains on it now than years ago. I don’t remember it’s being that dangerous. Of course we were doing it when there were way fewer people. My son used to get to the top in less than an hour, and down in 35 minutes. Like I said there were way fewer people even the last time I did it. My wife’s family have been hiking it since 1960. We quit Zions a couple years ago because the clouds got too big and it was even hard getting into the park (2+ hour waits to catch the Tram in the Park.)
We did this too! Once! And never again. Not really hard but it's a crazy go up that last bit and across the ridge! I"m actually amazed that this trail is allowed. We did it in October about 10 years ago and there were not that many people. It was a week day.
Absolutely incredible! We gave up on a hike we did recently in Arizona and it was such a great call in terms of safety. Pretty crazy they’re going to start requiring permits!

Minor repelling, ropes required, the best part where you have to swim underwater to get through a hole. Lots of slot canyons keeps you in the shade and lots of hiking through the river. Awesome..i love Utah
You are not alone. I had the same feeling - did the first part and didn't feel it was worth it.
Thank you! It was quite the experience!
Great job overcoming your fear, Sara! You are amazing! Love that you and Chris share your adventures with us!
I had to comment. As someone who is terrified of heights, but keeps pushing myself… I was in tears watching this. Way to go!
Good job!! I'm impressed you did the tedious switchback section twice! Zion is my favorite of all the national parks. I hope you hike The Narrows also because that's even better. (Btw, the correct pronunciation of Zion rhymes with lion.)
Thank you for offering a good example of how to pronounce Zion. I was trying to figure out how to point it out myself, but this is it right here. :)
Amazing the amount of people in there! When hiked it a few years ago in the summer there were just a handful of ppl in the last part! I found a really scared couple in the middle part and had to help them up and down the trail! It was an amazing experience! I have some great shots of the place.
I live in Hurricane just below Zion and I’m so glad you hiked Angel’s Landing safely. We always hear of someone falling to their death from there.
Good call turning around. Great that you went back. Less people, safer situation again great call. Love on Kramer for us all.
Thank you, yes we agree it was the right move!
Did this hike twice, when I was 12 and then 17. Can’t wait to do it again. Good job guys!
I felt the same way!
Me too Beach Living....
i am sitting here nervously thinking of you on the couch there watching this trail video
Same. I could never do this, nor do I want to
Fear lets you know that you are alive. Kudos for returning and making it all the way. I knew you could do it. *smile*
NOW..... WOW!!!! what an awesome place to be. I'm sure the hike was worth it. Thank you for taking me along. *grin* Until next time...... Travel Safe.
Yes, it was quite the experience!
Oh my gosh. I had to fast forward through the chain part. I could never do that. So proud of you for getting as far as you did.
guys, i was soooo nervous watching this … loved ‘Sara on a MISSION’ mode!! … congrats on the successful redux!!! ❤️➕❤️
Thanks, y’all! Happy to have y’all travel and hike with us today! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. 😊
I'm glad they added permits to this hike. It was getting way too crowded
Great story of perseverance. I am heading out first week in December. No trams. Fingers crossed for no ice/snow.
Oh “Wow”, y’all are so brave! I’m glad we got to see your experience, thank you so much! I don’t blame you Sara, the people passing you on your way back down made me a little nervous for you. Y’all are “Awesome”!
Thank you! It was quite an experience but so glad we got to do it!
I did it back in May.. The trick to me was to never look down. Just look at the next step in front of you. But now you have the memory! So many great hikes in Southern Utah. I love that part of the country. Perfect climate....
It's been on my list for a long time. I just need to convince my wife! I love the Donald Miller quote. Great job!
Trust your instincts my friend. I want to hike Angels Landing some🙏. I’ll go with you. Yes, that’s a treacherous 😮hike and I have my fears too.
The video when you guys were climbing was surprisingly stable great job. Congrats on conquering your fears.
Thanks, Ryan! And that footage was all in the GoPro Hero 8. Those little cameras are amazingly stable!
Oh my gosh - this was great!! I love your comment about Half. Dome! I am super nervous and hesitant about Angel's Landing but I've done Half Dome so maybe just maybe I'll do Angels Landing!! Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching!
Such a cool video! Thank you! I hope I will be able to hike it this year too, hopefully with permits it is gonna be less crowdy.
Amazing video and courage. My grandson works at Zion and hikes Angels Landing a couple times a week. Watching your video made me feel close to him. Safe travels!
Wow what a cool job, thank you!
Thanks for your kind words!
I did the same hike back in April, i stopped at the chains because we had people running around us and it just seemed too dangerous, glad to hear they are issuing permits thought because it is definitely too many reckless people.
Probably smart, but bummed you had to stop!
@@chrisandsara yeah, we plan on going back next year so hopefully I’ll be able to do it then! Still beautiful and the views feom the first part of the hike alone were worth it
I think it's a valuable lesson that you only should hike where you feel confident.
Im with you..i don’t trust other people in these situations. Im so glad you went back and got to the top! Congradulations and yes, very good video.
I just did this amazing hike yesterday Friday Oct 31, Happy Halloween 🎃 my wife did had a panic attack at the beginning of the hike where there is no chains...😅 She returned and I kept going... Great video!
SUPER NICE HIKE 🙌🏼 we did this hike last week and it was super nice but we did it in the middle of the afternoon😅 SUPER HOT!!
I bet it was hot in the afternoon! Gorgeous hike!
I did Angels landing this year and was so scared, but once I reached the top I felt like hopscotching and skipping my way down 👍
That looks so sketchy and I think all of Sara's concerns were 100% valid. On a more upbeat note, the shot of Kramer in the intro is priceless! 😀
I visit Zion’s. many times look up where dare devils hike. I’m so afraid of height Glad you made it ❤
We love Zion! Can’t wait to go back and experience it more!
Congratulations to you for going back!! I was nervous just watching the video!
I got nervous just watching! Great job trying again! 👍🏾
If you want see something scary there's a youtube video of these guys doing this trail in winter while wearing regular sneakers.
Amazing hike and story!! This one has been added to our bucket list.....
Thanks so much for the encouraging words, we hope you enjoyed your time in Chattanooga!!
Wow! Love the 'woman on a mission' comment. Really enjoyed the story, your support for eachother, and the epic music/ editing. Thanks for sharing as that's a hike I'm 99% sure I could never do.
So glad you went! It's one of my top 2 (the other is Moab and sunset at the Delicate arch)
It might have been Conrad Anker who said,. "Going up the mountain is optional - coming down is mandatory."
So glad they started using the permit system. That's the only bad part about Zion and Yellowstone... way too many people during the spring/summer. Fall and winter are better, but Zion seems to stay busy all year now.
Ok the second you quoted Donald Miller was an instant subscribe for me. You guys are awesome 🤍
Such a beautiful place, I was lucky to have done that hike a few years ago.
That’s awesome!! Did you love it?!
@@chrisandsara Absolutely! and thank you for sharing your journey!
I recognized one of my favorite artists of all time- Josh Garrells from Portland Oregon ❤️ in your music selection...
Happy Adventures!
we love Josh Garrells and use him all the time in our videos. Thanks for watching!
Hey, I’m a former Paratrooper and that looks scary as hell.
so glad you took the time to go back. views were definitely "incredible"
We did this too! Once! And never again. Not really hard but it's a crazy go up that last bit and across the ridge! I"m actually amazed that this trail is allowed. We did it in October about 10 years ago and there were not that many people. It was a week day.
Chris is a very wise man. Supporting a woman on a mission. Good for you Sara. You faced your nemesis. 👍❤👍
"Holy Smokes" "Incredible" says it all.😁
Absolutely incredible! We gave up on a hike we did recently in Arizona and it was such a great call in terms of safety. Pretty crazy they’re going to start requiring permits!
"Gave up" is not the proper descriptive..... "Acquired sanity" is.
@@techsystems1904 🤣🤣🤣 I like that haha
