Never heard them called fingers before we always knew them as guards. Back in the 1960's this was the standard mower for cutting hay around my area and I think most of America. You could buy sidemount as well as three point back then.

You are correct, I think the proper name is guards. You know how us old country guys have to come up with different names for everything. We also used them for cutting hay back in the day. Thanks for checking it out and commenting.

Much nicer than the sickle bar mowers I grew up with.
Hey, now you have plenty of grapple material.

Yes, very true. I also grew up with a older one as well, that had a manually operated bar that would only cut when laying flat. Now I’m spoiled with this one. Really works great around ponds and such. Thanks for checking it out and commenting.

Did not know they made a seven foot model. Brochure says six, six ft nine inches and a seven ft nine inch.

Well, they really don't make a 7 ft model. They show a 3106, 3107 and 3108. Makes you think they are 6, 7 and 8 ft models. But on each model they come up a few inches short of the ft mark. Guess it's so close I just referred to it as 7 ft. Thanks for checking it out.

Seems like a nice tool to cut under a fence line but does it be move backwards to avoid hitting the post?.

Yes, if you hit something with the bar, it has a spring loaded mechanism that allows it to break away to avoid damage. I talk about it and show it at 5:05 min. Thanks for watching.
