Watching this again is crazy because you can really see how the crooked calls were always made when the Sekai Taikai board members visions were obscured; 1) the kick to Devon below the shoulder, Sam's body is actually kind of blocking their vision and 2) Devon's kick to Sam thereafter; Sam parries the attack but her torso/gi are again obscuring a clear view of the strike. o.O

Love that hawk took the time to rest instead of getting mad and try to keep fighting, and that Johnny stayed with him ( even tho he wasn’t his sensei anymore ) so that Daniel could stay and watch Sam fight. It broke my heart tbh seeing hawk so scared and helpless on the floor. But I’m glad he wasn’t too hard in himself bc he had no idea Kenny was capable of that and I didn’t either! It was just so sad seeing him try to catch his breath and trying not cry or seem weak. Tysm Johnny for helping him through such a nerve racking thing! I wish we could’ve gotten more sweet hawk and Johnny scenes!!!
A round of applause for Devon. She knew she was outmatched but still went in with the full intention to win. When sam scored her first point with the leg sweep, Devon was clearly upset by it so the next time Sam did it Devon actually lifted up her leg to dodge it and then counter with a kick. Her mindset of “not giving up” “not making the same mistake twice” and “always fighting with the intention to win no matter how much stronger the opponent is” is what makes her such a great character despite not having much screen time. I don’t get why people dislike her. She never once abandoned her principles or bullied anyone. Hawk, Robee, and Tori and all done much worse things while in Cobra Kai. The only reason she was in Cobra Kai was because the dojo she was in got taken over and she stayed in Cobra Kai solely to get better at her Karate.
I coach baseball and we had an umpire who refused to call strikes when the batters didn't swing so we basically did what Chozen and Daniel told Sam. We told our pitcher to leave no doubt and to aim every pitch right down the middle and throw it directly into the catcher's glove and force the umpire to call a strike whether he wanted to or not. We told our catcher to squat directly behind the plate and call 4-seam or 2-seam fastballs and nothing else; no curves, cutters, change-ups, anything. We told our defense that balls will be coming so be ready, make a play and get their pitcher off the field. In other words, force the batters to swing, trust our defense and take the game out of the umpire's hands. With pitches coming down the middle, they started swinging a lot more often. Because our pitcher threw hard and fast, they also started missing a lot more and that, of course, is a strike that the umpire has to call. They made contact, too, but our defense stepped up. Strategy worked. We won the game.

@@Thelegend-lo6qf I was just making a joke.
Watching this again is crazy because you can really see how the crooked calls were always made when the Sekai Taikai board members visions were obscured; 1) the kick to Devon below the shoulder, Sam's body is actually kind of blocking their vision and 2) Devon's kick to Sam thereafter; Sam parries the attack but her torso/gi are again obscuring a clear view of the strike. o.O
Not related to this scene, but one of the funniest - if-you-blinked-you-missed-it moments - is when Daniel’s wife phone states, “Hubbie-San,” when Daniel calls.
Those last defense moves were awesome

Man... SCREW MITCH!!!
Honestly, as far as Cobra Kai sensei’s go, Kim Da-Eun was good. She got helped Devon get a lot better, and she wasn’t mad at her for losing to Sam because she knew she wasn’t experienced enough and it wasn’t her fault.
Kim Da-Eun was a fantastic addition to the show. I'm guessing her and Kreese will be the final villain duo of Cobra Kai.
@@Hunterfalke maybe. we’ll see
@@Hunterfalke i think the show is clearly leaning towards kreese wanting to put a end to cobra kai after all and the only way is to join forces with Daniel and Johnny

I've literally just played it back 3 times to see that 😂
Omg that is so true I didn’t realise that🤣

He knew one day Devon would spike his drink.
Smart for Sam to keep it in the middle so the ref has no choice. That ref is shit at hiding the fact he's corrupt. Even the ref in the tournament hid it well.
Yes, this ref is ultra stupid at hiding secrets. It’s so damn obvious he’s payed, not to mention he always looks at Silver every time he didn’t count a point for Sam or count a point for Devon.
I love it that Miguel and Robby are on the same side!
Yeh only one who'd give them a run for their money are each other n a prime n focused hawk. Everyone else are mere small fries or barely a challenge
Loved loved LOVED seeing Johnny comfort hawk, sweetest thing in the whole season imo.
It’s crazy how Sam Is hugging Chozen, one of Daniels enemies.
They are now BFFS.
Enemy to friend
Daniel is Goku and Johnny and Chozen are Vegeta and Piccolo
@@nmz3450 that is very accurate
bro do you have lag? You're stuck in 1985
I love how chozen says "referee is Moran"
Tory Nicholls mastered "No Be There"...
Sams technique was so perfect
This is a perfect example of working smarter not harder👏
4:13 kyler’s face😂
This just shows silver has absolutely no confidence in his students abilities 😂
Bro that last point was so beautifully choreographed it had me feeling some type of way
I'm so happy to see Robbie wearing miyagi do gi and smiling and cheering Sam on glad there was no love drama between them
I coach baseball and we had an umpire who refused to call strikes when the batters didn't swing so we basically did what Chozen and Daniel told Sam.
2:07 I like how the bartender is just chilling while things are dead serious around her.
3:58 and 4:01 are the only times they've used Mary's stunt double this season.
A major improvement, especially if you compare it to her fight with Tory in season four (where you could clearly see both her and Peyton's stunt doubles), great job Mary 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That's our girl
“Referee is moron, must not leave room from error” Chozen is underrated.
It’s just so funny how Devon thought she could have beaten Sam but I did feel bad for devon
Sam is best fighter not doubt on it but i hate her character
She was forced to fight Sam, she knew she was going up against a way better fighter.
@@H.K.5 Devon is beginner and sam is more experienced than her so obviously sam is better fighter
But i hate sam though she is stupid character and girlfriend she always play card between miguel and robby
Atleast devon is not bad
She was in Cobra kai bcz cobra kai took place over blue karate ( don't know real name) now finally she leaves cobra kai
She had no choice but to fight Sam
3:45 Sams final point has got to be the best performance of all 5 seasons of Cobra Kai. She is absolutely flawless in everything she did. Yes, Miguel, Robby and Hawk are better lorewise. But her fighting in this point is better than anything I have ever seen Robby, Miguel or Hawk ever do.
Dam right .she is on a another level.
It's possible she is the most skilled, the only reason she's not the very best is because those 3 boys are just physically stronger, and that puts them ahead of her. But I think she could still beat one of the lower tier boys like Demetri.
Yeah, her stunt double did some great work
Chozen was the absolute Highlight of this season
Absolutely
I find it interesting how in the show Devon is suppose to be like 1 or 2 years younger than Sam, but the two actresses are 10 years apart in real life

The counter fight kick that Sam did along with the beastly yell is the definition of badass!!!!
Samantha Larusso’s my all time fav since the show aired, and Mary’s skill with her training had came a long way too.
The first person to ever score 4 points in a match
It was too goddamn wholesome when Robby and Chozen celebrated together after the fight
3:06 Idk why but I really find it hilarious🤣...
It's like she tryna escape the matrix 😂
It feels really good to see Robby and Miguel together.😂
Sam is such an underrated fighter, despite being a main character. I wish she was appreciated more!
I didn’t notice how Johnny was taking care of Eli the first time. He is still his sensei
There’s something very wholesome about Chozen embracing Daniel’s daughter.
"Sorry, kid. Nothing personal. Ref is dirty. This will just have to be a bloodbath."
HAHAHAHA
Chozen’s drunken laugh is the best. 😂
I gotta join these dojos. Everyone becomes black belts within a year. They definitely are getting their money's worth!
Sam is lowkey the most bad ass and probably best fighter in cobra kai imo because she created her own styles already if not for the “plot” which lead to cheating game was over
2:45 does anyone else laugh hysterically when Chozen says that?
Yeah I love that line
We finally see Tory's true colors come out, she knew that Silver had bought off the referee and was disgusted by it.

I kind of hate that Sam’s hair is loose. It’s a incredible disadvantage. You can see and hair ripping injuries are real.
I wish the series showed more of Sam’s grappling training. She’s been performing throws and rolls since S2.
@Jake Collins True. But nobody in the show is really seen practicing it, you know? And since Sam has so many fight scenes with throws, you’d think there’d be training scenes of that.

It seems to me that the ref is always looking at Sensei Silver. I think Sam deserves that point.
Devon couldn't even land any hit on Sam any at all...Sam is very fast and agile and full of defense as always there's no way Devon had a chance.
True Sam technically won 4-0 cause the first point should’ve counted cause it was clearly below the shoulder and the one point the ref gave to Devon she didn’t even land anything
@@JonathanLopez-xo4pv exactly bro...Sam won that easily, she's the best female fighter with Tory being the second best. Devon has no chance against either the two.
@@JonathanLopez-xo4pv People even saying that Devon is close to Tory's level of fighting skills which I disagree with.
I think what people also forget sometimes is the Sam has been doing karate much longer than the other students. She started out as a little kid.
