Yes, this ref is ultra stupid at hiding secrets. It’s so damn obvious he’s payed, not to mention he always looks at Silver every time he didn’t count a point for Sam or count a point for Devon.
Watching this again is crazy because you can really see how the crooked calls were always made when the Sekai Taikai board members visions were obscured; 1) the kick to Devon below the shoulder, Sam's body is actually kind of blocking their vision and 2) Devon's kick to Sam thereafter; Sam parries the attack but her torso/gi are again obscuring a clear view of the strike. o.O

@@Hunterfalke i think the show is clearly leaning towards kreese wanting to put a end to cobra kai after all and the only way is to join forces with Daniel and Johnny
The way both Eagle Fang and Miyagi-do collaborated is such a joy to watch. Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso represented two side of the same coin in what we called "martial arts ethics", with Johnny's Eagle Fang bright colors symbolizing the assertive and aggressive approach and Daniel's Miyagi-do representing the inner balance and resilience - and when blended together I don't think they can be defeated - and of course both dojos' students were supporting Sam, like Miguel said, and Robby with his supportive gaze.
I also like how Johnny built Eagle Fang to be the anti-thesis of Cobra Kai. He still uses aggression in training, but it's not focused at defeating external enemies, but rather on the internal enemy of fear and self-doubt.
"Assertive" Mike Barnes is assertive man, Silver propose 25% profit but Mike Wanna 50% profit Cobra kai season 5 Mike Barnes wanna 50% profit in furniture store Maybe in season 6 Mike Barnes teach students Miyagi-Fang more assertive in life
Sam is lowkey the most bad ass and probably best fighter in cobra kai imo because she created her own styles already if not for the “plot” which lead to cheating game was over
3:58 and 4:01 are the only times they've used Mary's stunt double this season. A major improvement, especially if you compare it to her fight with Tory in season four (where you could clearly see both her and Peyton's stunt doubles), great job Mary 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
1:42 That little glance Devon gives before she fights Sam foreshadows her switching sides in the end. It clearly shows that even though it was just a few weeks and not that long, Johnny has made a positive impact on her and that memory ALONE has made her question herself about Cobra Kai and their ways.
Not related to this scene, but one of the funniest - if-you-blinked-you-missed-it moments - is when Daniel’s wife phone states, “Hubbie-San,” when Daniel calls.
I'll never get why they hate her she literally fight like she is LEAGUES above everybody else and her character arc is literally a well done version of Rey from Star Wars. Probably one of my favourite characters since she fights so good. Wrote this exact comment on her fight with Tory too.
Loved loved LOVED seeing Johnny comfort hawk, sweetest thing in the whole season imo. Love that hawk took the time to rest instead of getting mad and try to keep fighting, and that Johnny stayed with him ( even tho he wasn’t his sensei anymore ) so that Daniel could stay and watch Sam fight. It broke my heart tbh seeing hawk so scared and helpless on the floor. But I’m glad he wasn’t too hard in himself bc he had no idea Kenny was capable of that and I didn’t either! It was just so sad seeing him try to catch his breath and trying not cry or seem weak. Tysm Johnny for helping him through such a nerve racking thing! I wish we could’ve gotten more sweet hawk and Johnny scenes!!!
3:45 Sams final point has got to be the best performance of all 5 seasons of Cobra Kai. She is absolutely flawless in everything she did. Yes, Miguel, Robby and Hawk are better lorewise. But her fighting in this point is better than anything I have ever seen Robby, Miguel or Hawk ever do.
It's possible she is the most skilled, the only reason she's not the very best is because those 3 boys are just physically stronger, and that puts them ahead of her. But I think she could still beat one of the lower tier boys like Demetri.
I coach baseball and we had an umpire who refused to call strikes when the batters didn't swing so we basically did what Chozen and Daniel told Sam. We told our pitcher to leave no doubt and to aim every pitch right down the middle and throw it directly into the catcher's glove and force the umpire to call a strike whether he wanted to or not. We told our catcher to squat directly behind the plate and call 4-seam or 2-seam fastballs and nothing else; no curves, cutters, change-ups, anything. We told our defense that balls will be coming so be ready, make a play and get their pitcher off the field. In other words, force the batters to swing, trust our defense and take the game out of the umpire's hands. With pitches coming down the middle, they started swinging a lot more often. Because our pitcher threw hard and fast, they also started missing a lot more and that, of course, is a strike that the umpire has to call. They made contact, too, but our defense stepped up. Strategy worked. We won the game.
A round of applause for Devon. She knew she was outmatched but still went in with the full intention to win. When sam scored her first point with the leg sweep, Devon was clearly upset by it so the next time Sam did it Devon actually lifted up her leg to dodge it and then counter with a kick. Her mindset of “not giving up” “not making the same mistake twice” and “always fighting with the intention to win no matter how much stronger the opponent is” is what makes her such a great character despite not having much screen time. I don’t get why people dislike her. She never once abandoned her principles or bullied anyone. Hawk, Robee, and Tori and all done much worse things while in Cobra Kai. The only reason she was in Cobra Kai was because the dojo she was in got taken over and she stayed in Cobra Kai solely to get better at her Karate.

Sams choreography is always so fire🔥🔥
Watching this again is crazy because you can really see how the crooked calls were always made when the Sekai Taikai board members visions were obscured; 1) the kick to Devon below the shoulder, Sam's body is actually kind of blocking their vision and 2) Devon's kick to Sam thereafter; Sam parries the attack but her torso/gi are again obscuring a clear view of the strike. o.O
3:44 I love how Robby smirks a little bit
Honestly, as far as Cobra Kai sensei’s go, Kim Da-Eun was good. She got helped Devon get a lot better, and she wasn’t mad at her for losing to Sam because she knew she wasn’t experienced enough and it wasn’t her fault.
Kim Da-Eun was a fantastic addition to the show. I'm guessing her and Kreese will be the final villain duo of Cobra Kai.
@@Hunterfalke maybe. we’ll see
@@Hunterfalke i think the show is clearly leaning towards kreese wanting to put a end to cobra kai after all and the only way is to join forces with Daniel and Johnny
"Assertive" Mike Barnes is assertive man, Silver propose 25% profit but Mike Wanna 50% profit
Cobra kai season 5 Mike Barnes wanna 50% profit in furniture store
Maybe in season 6 Mike Barnes teach students Miyagi-Fang more assertive in life

The Way Sam Dodge The That Leg Kick Was So Clean 3:56
I find it interesting how in the show Devon is suppose to be like 1 or 2 years younger than Sam, but the two actresses are 10 years apart in real life

Lol your comment is an even better comparison since Sam fought an evil Sam in her mind earlier in the season
I love how chozen says "referee is Moran"
I like Devon’s tenacity. She doesn’t have as much experience as Sam but still went out there giving her all 😊
Mr Miyagi would be very proud
He would be
I love it that Miguel and Robby are on the same side!
Yeh only one who'd give them a run for their money are each other n a prime n focused hawk. Everyone else are mere small fries or barely a challenge
4:35 I love how the only student Sam chose to hug was Miguel. Sam and Miguel are the best couple🙌 Robby and Sam shippers take that L
Dam right .she is on a another level.
It's possible she is the most skilled, the only reason she's not the very best is because those 3 boys are just physically stronger, and that puts them ahead of her. But I think she could still beat one of the lower tier boys like Demetri.
Yeah, her stunt double did some great work
I coach baseball and we had an umpire who refused to call strikes when the batters didn't swing so we basically did what Chozen and Daniel told Sam.
4:13 kyler’s face😂
This is a perfect example of working smarter not harder👏
Love the kick sam did at the end 💯
@Jake Collins But she hutted her in her stoch while the crane kick goes to in the forhead.
It was too goddamn wholesome when Robby and Chozen celebrated together after the fight
Devon couldn't even land any hit on Sam any at all...Sam is very fast and agile and full of defense as always there's no way Devon had a chance.
True Sam technically won 4-0 cause the first point should’ve counted cause it was clearly below the shoulder and the one point the ref gave to Devon she didn’t even land anything
@@JonathanLopez-xo4pv exactly bro...Sam won that easily, she's the best female fighter with Tory being the second best. Devon has no chance against either the two.

Of course she did, Devon only recently got into karate.

It seems to me that the ref is always looking at Sensei Silver. I think Sam deserves that point.
I didn’t notice how Johnny was taking care of Eli the first time. He is still his sensei
Although, Sam won the fight, as we should expect, you gotta give it to Devon. At least in the final round, she really put up a good fight against Sam. Plus, she was able to take on Kim Da Eun, who's literally a super well trained sensei (with Tory's help, but still).
Yeah she's almost there with her eccellent offense. Too bad she's got no defense, she never got trained to defend herself and that's why she gets so many points in counterattacks
Doubt she was taking her on with Tory. Even Sam and Troy were getting their asses kicked by that sensei at the end.
@@estariol100 even all the three girls together didn't have a chance to actually beat her, but tory and lee at least managed to fend her off for a bit (not getting instantly KO'd is a massive win for me, taking a massive enemy force off the battle for even 20 minutes is a huge gain for the myagi-fang)

I wish the series showed more of Sam’s grappling training. She’s been performing throws and rolls since S2.
@Jake Collins True. But nobody in the show is really seen practicing it, you know? And since Sam has so many fight scenes with throws, you’d think there’d be training scenes of that.
Daniel: You really don't have to do this.
Sam: Umm yes I do. I am the only girl in our dojo......

She has speed tho
Also something people tend to forget, Sam also learned Miyagi Do years before anyone else. Even though she stopped she still had thr muscle memory. As seen when she dumped Kyler. It didn't take long for her to relearn things compared to other students learning it for the first time.
