One of the best things to happen in 2020. Thanks to all who have built, raced, and participated. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thanks Matt for the video, and we use SADDLEMAN, FUELING, and B.D.L. whenever possible in my shop. T.S.R.
I love anything in race spec, the craftsmanship is just as impressive, technical, and thought out as any sport bike build and even more so because of all the custom parts they had to make. It takes a lot of effort to take a bike designed for a retired dentist and make it fast.
performance baggers and all that come with them are DEFINITELY here to stay. Its a fresh take on the sport and in general in my opinion. Great video Matt!
Saddlemen's "King of the Baggers" Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special - Incredibly impressive machine. - Best race entertainment ever. Never thought it would be so interesting. Hope they continue. I do not know I just loved this type of racing. It was great!
I sure hope this racing becomes a NASCAR circuit for Baggers! The possibilities are fascinating and exciting. Thanks to Laidlaw Harley Davidson for promoting the possibilities. You guys continue to keep on the cutting edge when it comes to Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Right on. And I'm with you, I absolutely fell in love with this class. They need to make this a permanent class for sure...!!! Building one as we speak.
I’ve been riding since 1975 and I’m glad to see the new technology working its way into the Harleys ,something I’ve wanted to see for a very long time. And yes I would like to see more of these races in the future.👍👍
Another awesome Video Matt. Yes more races and make the King Of The Bagger race a permanent series! I’ve flat tracked and road raced myself. Maybe 1 or 2 customers that come through our dealership might talk about a flat track or road race but with the King Of The Bagger race many many customers were talking about it. These are real every day street motorcycle that are very capable machines. Please keep this very fun series going!
The popularity of this event was indeed off the charts. An epic event. Absolutely everyone was talking about it. Only 3 races next year. Those are amateurs numbers. Lol. I want a whole damn season. With more manufacturers. Intense competition. It would be flipping awesome. It’s time to do this. Another fine video Matt. Thank you sir.
Permanent event all the way! It would be a destination ride for lots of people in the coming years especially if there are vendors and etc. Would not be surprised if big sponsors came in the mix as well. It is the perfect set up.
It was great to see those Baggers on the track.... It was a great race to see.... I hope we see more of it..... Thanks for the close up of the bike Matt...
Thanks for the video Matt! That's a sweet ride right there!! I loved the race series and it definitely needs to be done every year. Go HD! Love that you keep it real on the channel and God bless🤘
Thanks for this , Matt, I loved that race...and all the bikes. Personally, if I could afford it, I set up a street legal bike like this for my personal enjoyment. just love the set up. I watched the race several times, including posts by tourists in the area, and this was more fun than any race i've watched in years. I definitely think this should be more than an exhibition race.
Would love to see this race continued....either as an annual event or perhaps developing into a regular race series! We would all benefit by the engineering and other developments that it would inspire! 👍
Definitely need more of these races and Harley racing track in general. Would love to see Lowrider S models go at it and built to this caliber as well.
I watched it.. it’s was awesome, I went & bought my 2020 Low Rider S 3 weeks after this race. Love your show Matt, your review of the Low Rider S Earler this year got me saving to get my bike a few weeks ago. I wish I could come in & see your dealership. I hope they extend this bagger race to more tracks, I was going for V&H & Harley, hated to see Victory, I mean Indian win. Well get them next year. Thanks dude
I enjoyed the build up to the race... watching all the build videos, practices, trash talk with friends... And then watching these bad ass baggers go balls to the walls through the chicane and really the whole course Was awesome... Made me pissed that my brand new 2020 CVO can't lean over at a buck 20 without damn near bucking me off... its only money!
Loved the race. DEFINITELY want to see more. Would love to make it one of my annual rides, especially at Laguna Seca. Long overdue race class. Motorcycle Nascar!
I'm a MotoGP fan, been going to Laguna Seca for many yrs. They took away MotoGP a big bummer. After watching the Bagger race I was pumped. If they sponcer the Bagger race I would go back every yr.
Frankly, Even though Indian won the race, they did not kill the Harley. Vance & Hines made a killer bike. I think the race really came down to the rider IMHO. I own a Road Glide which I often go on sport rides with. The younger guys get a kick out of how I ride mine sport style. Imagine their excitement when they saw king of the baggers. Now a couple of them want one...LOL
Hey Matt, Didn't even know about this race until today. Damn, I would of loved to view it. I'm going to try and run down a video on it right now. This is a race I would love to support and/or attend on an annual basis. Laguna Seca is the perfect venue for it. Thanks again for what you do for the Harley community, your time and efforts are truly appreciated. Cheers and here's to a wonderful holiday to you, your family and HD riders everywhere.
So the MoCo leaves 1/4 mile which was a Top winning team partnering with Vance and Hines.Long list of trophy’s and they walk away. Now the aftermarket is starting bagger track racing which for this H-D owner rider and fan Harley is disrespecting its base. The list of aftermarket go fast parts Matt read off had me in awe of what these companies are capable of .The suits at the MoCo better take notice. The aftermarket guys are engineering top products and have a competitive race platform to show what they can do.Harley race engineering was on the 1/4 mile those parts ended up in the SE catalogue .Thanks Matt for an eye popping and hopefully eye opening tutorial. The race was a blast.
What an awesome machine this is 👌🏻 I’ve watched the race and I want it to be permanent thing. I ride FLHRXS and I already started adding things to her to let her to perform a little better. All, because of the King of the Baggers 👍🏻 Good, detailed video, Matt 👊🏻
First, great video as always. Matt your vids are fantastic. This was simply a fun recap of a fun event. I can't wait to see more bagger races. The guys just looked like they were having a great time trying something new. New builds, new format, simple rules, something that could be a great start to something new! Thanks Matt!
Wow, I have a road glide, the weight you guys achieved is incredible! I wish Harley would reduce the weight by 200 lbs, lot easier for me to handle if they did! !
I watch the race I thought it was totally rad I hope that you have more Harley's ran good as always For the 1st race of this kind They will Work the bugs out And refined the bikes But it was cool HD Neil AKA kronk I watch your videos all the time I really like the concept in your perspective and outlook on motorcycles keep up the good work
Great video. I did watch the race. I would like to see this in 2021. 1 out west, 1 at Indianapolis, and 1 on the East coast. I also would like to see a few different classes. 1 especially for us that do not have a huge war chest budget. Definitely a highlight for 2020.
Great video as always. Well detailed video of a racing bike from the epic bagger showdown. Indian and HD finished 1 and 2 demonstrating that the new kid on the block is legit while HD air cooled engine still brings it. It was a hoot to watch.
I watch the event and it was a great day , as far as making it a full time series , No , I love the unexpected and unknown up and coming surprise events . I am curious if the engine was the 131 and not the 121 as you mentioned would the outcome have been different . Go Harley Davidson .
Well, Thank you for this detailed look. I think this machine is Bitchin'! The more you look at it the more stuff you see. It's really well put together too. To me this is a legitimate racing machine. It's beautiful, man. I have heard people gripe and say "why", "what is the point" and all that. Clearly these folks just don't get it. It's about having passion about something. It's about taking something to the next level, about the challenge of it. And it's friggin fun! I love 'em and I hope they keep on with it. All these guys. They probably learned a ton just being out there. They will come back even stronger. Maybe even more can join the party too. A 6-row grid would be cool!
Loved the race. Reminded me of a documentary I saw about the early days of NASCAR. It would be awesome if they could keep building on the early success. I’d like to see more of the stock bike in the final race bikes but that’s just my opinion. Maybe require an unmodified stock fairing and bags?
Fueling Harley Davidson parts are the highest quality you can get ! I installed Fueling hydraulic roller lifters in my 2009 XR1200 Harley Davidson and they don't make any noise at all ...the stock lifters were noisy as the Harley Davidson service manual said they will be ...
Many thanks for the great video Matt
Thanks for letting us show it off! You guys built an incredible machine.
@@MattLaidlaw Just need to make it street legal for the rest of the year..
