Any work that involves working on the electrical panel can be dangerous and should only be done by a licensed professional.
In this scenario, Heath found that none of the surrounding receptacles or their wiring were to code, so he removed and replaced them with a 12-2 NM cable and a single GFCI outlet. These materials can be found at any home center or electrical supply store.

In my 50 years never saw or heard of anybody owning the offset device. Was thinking of purchasing one until I found out how muchbthey cost. Finally got good at not only doing offsets but back to back & saddle bends. Good ideal of using the piece if 1/2" EMT to protect the NM cable coming down wall. Did not see what year this was made but if your state is in the 2020 NEC you would have to provide AFCI protection and not a GFCI receptacle. Hope you mentioned that you must use TR ( tamper resistant ) for all 15 & 20 residental receptacles. One of our local inspectors does not require a TR receptacle if over 7' above ground level.

The electrician said install a arc fault breaker, it should be a arc fault/GFCI combo breaker also turning off the the main breaker does not isolate the whole panel, it only turns off everything after the main. If you want to isolate the whole panel you need to have a disconnect ahead of the panel or pull the meter.

3:23 If you want a true 5" radius the nail hole has to be 5" from the beginning edge of the router bit.....not to the middle of the router bit.

Came here to say this. Jen's method (which has been shown on other episodes), does not give a10" diameter (5" radius) circle. That is because she did not account for the bit. The measurement she made is to the center of the bit. If you do that and expect a 10" diameter circle, you'll be disappointed

i've seen a few other segments with her, she designed them and they thought she would be competent enough to get the things right. They want to have more women on the show doing stuff to be woke but it's hard to find skilled women so they will just take what they can get. We've all made some silly mistakes in measuring though...but then again if I was a skilled woodworker like Tommy and good enough to be on the show I don't think I would make mistakes like that...but with women they will just take whatever they can get.

Love the router circle jig. Hate the choice of bits, though-- needlessly large. Use a 1/4" up-spiral solid carbide bit instead. Less waste, far better control, much less chips too. Smoother cut, needs far less sanding before finish.
Second trick: Secure the circle from below, to a larger support piece, taking care to keep the screws well away from the edge. Then, once the circle is cut? Use the same jig, but with an edging bit, to create whatever shaped edge you desire, round over, cove, etc, using the appropriate router bit. Use the same set up to sand, as well. THEN you remove from the underlying support piece.

I understand running new wire to the basement outlet so they have a ground, but never figured why they tore everything else out. Why not leave the original conduit and 2x4 box? Yes, there's something spiffy about "all new" but the average guy will go the easy route and have the same end result for working purposes.
