I was 14 when it came out and still to this day love it and believe it is the best pinball machine ever designed, so fast, furious and flashy. Loved when the ball would pop against the glass when going crazy fast, which I believe it did a time or two here. May be one day I can own one and make the thunder and lightning roar, and the machine scream!! Steve is a true genius. Some say he designed better tables afterwards, but I respectfully disagree.
Great score, a maxed spinner shot is so pleasing; sadly spinners seem ignored today. A cool Ritchie relic here that setup his whole career. To imagine he designed Black Knight just 1 year after this. Hope I own a Flash someday.
Why are you ignoring the repeatable loop? Get your bonus up as high as possible, then use the upper flipper, cross playfield, over the first set of rollovers, round the corner and along the top of the playfield bypassing the lanes, then through the upper right corner, back over the second set of rollovers, and back to upper flipper again. Seems like this should be obvious.
I can highly recommend the PAPA tournament videos with commentary. My favourite video on the channel is probably the 9ing-Out Kings of Steel. The commentary during gameplay by Bowen is extremly helpful.
I remember playing this almost 40 years ago I could never get off the game it’s pretty simple, just have to be patient and know what too shoot for I was in elementary school on one quarter playing this game and have so many credits on it where the Store owner told me to leave, but I had lots of fun on it I purchased this machine about 27 years ago then I sold it for a nice profit someone wanted it for their game room
The Motordrome also looks horrible in the gameplay vid. What Rich replied is true though. Though luck on the EBs. I would be furious. Thanks for another great video PAPA.
Sooooo....you realize that they have over 450 machines right? And that PAPA is a non-profit with people who volunteer their time as techs and organizers? And not to mention that it's only open twice a year and that the majority of the tournament money goes to payouts and the local Humane Society. If you're so concerned about the appearance of a machine that plays great, then maybe you should donate the parts and your time to make it "right" yourself.
Boy.. Sure got your panties in a wad. It was an observation, that's all. I do realize most of what happens is due to donations and volunteering and, I have volunteered myself at PPE last year. I was surprised only because I expected PAPA to have top notch machines. I was not aware they play on the same (potentially) hammered machines as the rest of us. If PAPA would answer my email I sent months and months ago, maybe I would be able to donate parts from my Flash machine i just traded for Pinbot.
Looks cool but rough sound design. That increasing drone is obnoxious. I'm sure some love it though. Just not my cup of tea. It drove me crazy (not in a good way) on Meteor too.
shit you know what, i completely know about that site and have used it but forgot about it until you just mentioned it haha thanks...theres more gameplay than tutorials though, at least on the tables for pinball arcade
Great video but, you found the most beat up machine. Wrong colored posts, lights and lane guides; torn or missing decals on the machine in this video. A little surprised PAPA can't locate anything better. Excellent final score!
Williams Flash is one of Steve Richie’s best works alongside with Black Knight, Firepower, Terminator 2, etc.

Lots of good basic flipper skill put to practice here. This video was enjoyable to watch. Nice score too
After Opening the Coin Door, using the Diagnostics how do you change or reset the BALL IN PLAY from 3 Ball to 5 Ball on Flash ?

Great Table, loved the spooky space harmonics!
Wish I could play that well.
Unreal Stuff Papa, thanks.
Wow. Like being suddenly reacquainted with your first girlfriend from 40 years ago, unchanged, just as stunning now as then.
I grew roots in front of this machine at Aquaport in Ocean City, NJ
Thanks for this. Very nice skills on display.
Table looks a little slanted to the left.

Great machine probably my favorite

yes! i love when you guys give the rules like this! can you do some of the ones that are in the game pinball arcade?
PAPA games aren't necessarily about the nicest looking games, but rather the best playing ones for tournament play.
You are not showing the score on this one!!!

Owned one. Interesting game, breaks down more often than a car with 300,000 miles😔
If repinned , Recapped everywhere , runs like dream .
