I felt like the bowlers did a good job to keep the intensity up. The openers were just playing really well and weren't allowing them selves to be phased by a successive maidens. I think pat Cummins is past his prime as a fast bowler. He doesn't look threatening at all. He was totally different in 2018 and 2022. Same for Lyon and Smith and Usman.

Since becoming captain he’s often more focussed on rest and being able to play every match in a series than being at his best for the game he’s playing right now. So he hasn’t played a red ball game since March and it shows.
