      @Pan I am very thankful for your videos! I did have a question regarding the protection that may/may not come from the Adam's Graphene Shampoo. Watching the Adam's video here (th-cam.com/video/zMckQ816G3U/w-d-xo.html) they mention early in the video that it does provide some protection/hydrophobic properties. I was a bit confused after watching your video segment (around 24:45). Would you mind weighing in on this for me (hopefully helpful to others as well)? Thank you!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dustin. I answered this many times already in the comments section. I think the marketing team of Adam's might have been confused a bit. The Adam's Graphene Shampoo doesn't add any protection or hydrophobics. It just has a higher degreasing properties meant to restore the hydrophobics of a coating.
      And I got that information from the head chemist who blends the Adam's products himself. I asked him that exact question in this video: th-cam.com/video/KOHw0bweWEc/w-d-xo.html

    I have used the P&S Pearl, Adam’s Graphene, and Turtle Wax. What’s stands out about each is the Pearl is super liquidity with phenomenal slickness/lubricity with wash mitt with lemon scent. Adam’s super cleaner/degreaser with a “mango-ish” scent and turtle wax great “all aroubder” great red apple scent great in foam cannon not wet but not mounds of foam (don’t like super thick foam as it takes more time to get off and messier)

    I really appreciate comparing the costs on a per ounce basis; however, since the recommended concentrations vary so much by manufacturer, I think a more accurate price comparison would be "price per use" based on manufacturer recommended amounts. Something like bilt hammer may be more expensive but the concentration might actually make it the best value. Thanks for all you do for the detailing world!

    My favorite to include in a future video - Griots Garage Brilliant Finish Car Wash. It's a straight shampoo (no protection) but it also includes brighteners that makes the paint really pop. I foam the car with it as a pre-soak, rinse that off, then use it for a bucket wash. Does everything wonderfully for .20¢ per oz!

    I think the reason Mr Pink is so popular is because it's so widely available at brick and mortar retailers, whereas almost none of the other shampoos are. The only other one I've seen in a store is Adam's. There's nothing wrong with ordering online, but a lot of people (myself included) would rather just go buy what they need than pay shipping and wait for days. I almost wish there was a B&M retailer that specialized in detailing products and had the products on a shelf.

    • @audieconrad8995

      Agreed. For the overwhelming majority of weekend warriors who many decide same day to to whatever WITH whatever - brick & mortar still rules. Every product here is a very good product. The top four for me in no particular order are GSF, Apex, Incredi Suds, and Reset. CarPro has the best overall line up of shampoos. For higher ph soaps like Lift you can add apc to other shampoos and get the same result. CarPro Descale is the only soap which excels in on the acidic side of the ph scale. The soap I am going to buy is from the manufacturer who provides the best customer service. Thank you so much for taking a lot of time to do the research for this video!

    I wonder if instead of giving the price per ounce, a more fair comparison would have been price per ounce times how many ounces of that wash is needed to mix in 3 gallons of water for a wash or how much to fill up the container on a foam cannon? A very expensive wash on a per-ounce basis may actually be a decent value depending on how concentrated it is.

    Love these videos Pan. Great info, as always. I have a suggestion for maybe a better fair comparison of costs: Rather than discussing cost per oz or ml, it would be more useful to know cost per use. I know it can be calculated based on the size of the bottle as I'm a research engineer, but for someone that doesnt think that way, they may not realize it is more cost effective to buy the more expensive product, as it is less expensive per wash.
    Some of these will change place in value perspective due to the amount you need to use for a single use. They may cost more for a bottle, but getting far more washes from that bottle makes them a better value.

      I will calculate value per wash to see if something is still worth buying but the problem with that is we don't always follow the manufactures description, or they can vary between an amount where it's still up to you the user to decide. For example I might want more slickness than you and maybe you use 3 ounces per wash in a bucket but I might use 5, etc. so I feel that part is far more subjective because our expectations of the product will vary greatly out in the real world.

    Just used the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pure Wash, and it's awesome. I used 2 capfuls (just under 1/2 ounce) for my wheels and 2 capfuls (just under 1/2 ounce) for the car body. A half ounce is 1/4 of what the instructions call for (2 ounces). It just kept foaming and foaming whenever I sprayed into the bucket. And super slick. Thanks, Pan, I nominate you for the rap nickname Kid Lubricious.

    I’ll have to give that Shine Supply Shift a spin. My favorite all-rounder is still GSF, once you get used to how easily it rinses off (and addicted to the smell) it’s hard to want to try anything else. Shift might be a suitable challenger!

    I find in my foam cannon, p&s gives me the best value as I buy the largest size available.
    In the wash bucket, my go is Adam’s Graphene during maintenance; super slick and the surface is very well lubricated.
    Once every few months, I’ll use Feynlab Pure Wash to deep clean my coated surface. I find pure wash cleans really well compared to Adams Graphene.
    Would love to hear your thoughts if youre ever able to test products from feynlab 👍

    Bilt Hamber being the highest in price due to import taxes would still be the cheapest price per wash then all of the others due to its concentration. I've still got half a bottle after 18 months and I use it very frequently. I kinda think you should have mentioned that...oh well. I'll try the Carpro reset next as my car is coated with a mixture of UK 3.0 two coats and two coats of S.I.C so it will be interesting to see how Reset will work with those other two products from Carpro.

    Have you noticed he never says anything negative about these products? Not PH balanced? Don't worry about it. Not foaming? Not designed to. Expensive? Well worth it. Just once I would like to hear him review a product he was disappointed in.

      @johnathancooper4663 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hey John, I used to think this way as well. But in interviews he stated and even showed boxes of products he was sent tested not revealing the companies names. Because to him in his channel he will only show the products he likes.
      Pan said he will never bad mouth a company if it doesn’t work for him he won’t showcase it on his channel. So pretty much he tests the products before hand then showcase if it’s good.

    • @elilee9112

      cOmpuJ0hn - Pan has always stated “it is his opinion” and never changed his style of reviewing products. At the same time; in this video he states “all” products in this review are “pure shampoos” that are good (without added protection), however, Pan points out the nit picking issues.
      Ceramic, Acrylic or Polymer protection will react to differing shampoos. Northeast states (winter salt) vs southwest (dry, sand hot) will also affect the shampoo and water mix (hard water?). Indoor garage, car port or outdoor parking also affects the shampoo to use.
      J0hn you have to cut through the review to take the info you want.
      Consider this thought - if Pan is disappointed in a product - it will not make it on his channel.
      Pick the shampoo that relates to your conditions (daily driven car vs weekend warrior vs garage Queen show car)

      Excellent explanation Jonathan Cooper. Also remember, he is reviewing nothing but the best products. They are all good, none are bad. For example car pro reset is truly not designed to be a huge foamer but it's still an excellent product. It just depends on your wants and needs. I prefer foam so I like Turtle Wax purewash. I don't think he's trying to be diplomatic, I think he's being honest with a bunch of GREAT products.

    Another Great comparison video Pan. All of my vehicles are Graphene coated and I started using the Adams Graphene Shampoo. I did notice the enhanced water beading and sheeting after washing my cars and I thought it was due to the graphene content not that it was doing a better job of removing the films. Must say I did notice a bigger change on my vehicles that are parked outside unprotected. Thanks for the information.

    An excellent video! My overall favorite for scent is P&S Pearl, followed by Ethos Foam Party. My favorite in the bucket is Slick and Slide, followed by Bathe, and then Pearl. While it isn't in this list, Mega Foam is still my favorite snow foam. My sister loves Reset, but I don't use it because I use paste waxes on my car. I've used the Graphene Shampoo, and it cleans well, but I don't like the smell at all. I bought Shift, but haven't used it yet. And I used Mr Pink as my first snow foam. As you said, it just works.

    I have to buy a bottle of Lithium just to smell it. It's probably not for you or people like you but Duragloss seems to be a favorite of some in the older crowd. My friend who do it professionally use 3D but I think some of that is just. It was recommended to them once upon a time and they appreciate that the brand has products that will do what they claim in a cost-effective manner. I use Reset just because it's the cheapest. I use the last little bit of Adams and forgot how much I like them and realized that it is kind of nice to have a scent. Carnuba, patchouli, eucalyptus, and citrus all sound like excellent scents. Hopefully more companies that make good products will continue to experiment with more "old people" scents

    Pan,
    I have used the Adams graphene shampoo.
    I really love how it brings back the hydrophobic properties of the Adams graphene ceramic coating. Recently used it on my wife's vehicle.
    Brought back shine that I could not get with other shampoos.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that's because it has a stronger degreasing power compared to traditional pH neutral shampoos that can't remove road film and grime as good, hence you are "unclogging" the coating and restoring its normal hydrophobics.
      I also highlighted that in a 14-month update video of the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating applied to my girlfriend's vehicle in this video: th-cam.com/video/XGEkuR77poM/w-d-xo.html

    I did the math! Price per wash in CAD, for a 5 gallon bucket:
    DIY Detail $1,58
    KochChemie GSF $3,85
    Gyeon Bathe $1,89
    Bilt Hamber Auto-Wash $0,66
    Carpro Reset $1,60
    Auto Fanatic 007 Snow Storm $4,64
    Adams Car Shampoo $3,55
    Adams Graphene Shampoo $7,27
    Shine Supply Shift $4,06
    P&S Pearl $2,43
    Turtle Wax Slick n Slide $1,68
    Phoenix E.O.D. Apex $2,28
    Gtechniq Gwash $1,76
    Lithium Double Tap $4,75
    Chemical Guys Mr. Pink $2,44
    Dilution is everything.

    • @mikhailm4594
      @mikhailm4594 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the math! How did you calculate Adams Car Shampoo though? $15 CAD for 16oz or $0.94 per 1oz. The dilution is 1-2oz per bucket = $0.94 to $1.88 per bucket 🤷‍♂️

    • @studio_a800
      @studio_a800 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikhailm4594 I went with the ratios Pan mentioned in the video, which is 1-2oz. in 3 gallons of water. Since I was calculating for a 5 gallon bucket that comes to about 1.6 - 3.2oz. per bucket. Still, I seemed to be off so if I average out the usage (1.5oz. per 3 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket) we come to 2.1$ CAD per wash.
      I should probably recheck the math since it was fairly improvised and I was growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of consistency between manufacturers and their recommended ratios. Thanks for double checking!
