I use Active Foam for every wash on my vehicles as it makes the physical wash process easier and reduces the likelihood for marring. Not really concerned about it diminishing coatings because its so easy nowadays to regularly apply protection, especially with "spray and rinse" ceramics.
Any good ceramic coating should easily stand up to Active foam being used regularly. It is only a 9.5ph. Which is the same as Frostbite. P&S says it’s perfectly fine to use it on weekly washes. Half the time a bug remover is needed too weekly (at least it is for me) and that is usually way higher PH. Superfoam however is much stronger. That one I would reserve to use less often.
As Jay said, active foam is fine, if you have close to neutral tap water, the product will be very close to neutral once diluted 100:1. I would much rather use a stronger foam which will very slightly speed up the degradation of coatings rather than not use a strong foam and grind dirt into my paint all while preserving an easily replaced coating. Preserving your coating or preserving your clear coat... that's the main question. Also the sun is probably going to more aggressive on your coating than a heavily diluted alkaline snow foam, especially a mild one like AF.
This was so good I had to watch twice and I took notes with pen and pad in hand fr quick referencing into categories 👀👍. Lev taking us to school 👌 on soaps and surfactant cleaners👀
Not understanding why everyone is commenting “insert brand here” can also do it. Yes many brands have comparable products. They’re only showing brands they carry. That’s why you don’t see CarPro, Gyeon or Labo or any other brand on the table.
No matter what KC says…RS is a super strip wash! Probably the strongest product on the market. I predict that they will rebrand it. I would only use it before polishing.
I don’t see Frostbite in your mix of different car wash soaps ! Where would you place that one on the PH scale and when is it best to use it in a foam cannon ? Please advise.

Does anyone know of any fragrance free rinseless washes /no rinse washes? I would *love* to find one. Have looked high and low, and reached out to brands... no luck so far.
I've never used soap on any car, I used a few buckets of warm water to wash, rinse and use a leaf blower to clear most of the water, then microfiber towels to finish drying. I use Beadmaker to finish.
@@muskcoder6367 "washing" a car without soap is like showering without using soap, you're not actually cleaning it, you're just rinsing it. You may not be able to see it, but your paint is definitely suffering lol
No hate, but are you serious when you say that AF should be used every 4 months? gentle snow foam for the front, blackout for the rear! 🐿️💨
Love the narrative super entertain and so informative haha, looking forward for video like ghis in the future!
Been using Active Foam as a pre-wash and rising it off pretty much bi-weekly. Will have to stop that. Car is coated with Adams Advance Graphene Spray.

Is a high alkaline shampoo bad for car paint, door seal strips, clear coat, etc?

Great explanation, thank you
No Frostbite?
If you wash a car with either the high acid or alkaline soap, should you wash again with a neutral soap after to neutralize it?
Technically yes.
No Oberk APS? Hopefully next time ❤
Great video!
These are primarily the soaps that we carry in stock :)
Where did ya score that under armor detailer hoodie?
Detailed Image stocks them!
so where would FrostBite be?
Frostbite is a Ph of 9.8… so it would be on the left side with As. It will strip a wax or sealant, but not a coating.
What happens if you use active foam every week. I Have been doing that. Then I hit it with the cleanmaker!
If you have a good coating AF will do little to no harm and will reduce dirt during the contact wash.
My only water source is well water which is very alkaline in my situation. Is there a particular soap you'd recommend for this situation?
Something in the neutral or more acidic range
Regarding products similar with Kock Chemie RS, CarPro has Descale.
Correct, but we don’t sell CarPro.
Are any of these neutral car soaps fragrance free?

Carpro Descale can also be used in a foam cannon..
I love this. Super bubbly and clean cut. 😂😂 Keep it up TRC
1:09 Carpro descale?
