She has 3 albums, No Burden, Historian, and Home Video. Right one is Julien Baker. She also has 3 albums. Sprained Ankle, Turn Out The Lights, and Little Oblivions. Correct me if im wrong but i think they knew each other since 2016 and they formed the group in 2018 and released an EP. Then they went hiatus and went on individually on their own again and then released some songs from their individual albums with all three included as vocal back ups. And then just lately, they released The Record. It is absolutely groundbreaking i love them sm i recommend you listen to their individual works.

I think there's symbolism here. Toxic relationships are something we all face individually. But it's also a collective problem and a social problem. We feel alone when we are in these situations. But there are countless other people who have faced something similar. And if we have a conversation about it, it can get better.

Got a little teary-eyed seeing such a beautiful friendship that so beautifully blurs the line between platonic and romantic when they kissed at the end. So glad I had the chance to ugly-cry and get laryngitis when I saw them at Red Rocks. Hope they get many more fans, and that they show others how beautiful being queer can be.

This was a pleasant surprise! When you take 3 already-celebrated musicians and put them together- you get some fabulous suit tailoring and every good thing about music.
The boys seem to have a love of using an omnidirectional mic. They've all used one for various performances & online concerts (like Lucy's Tiny Desk Concert back during the Pandemic lockdown). That kind of microphone has a beautiful quality when it comes to picking up the subtle nuances of a singer's voice. Absolutely magical performance from boygenius.

Boygenius is the best supergroup in decades, and arguably the best rock band of 2023. We fans would love another album a few years from now. Let this not be the end.

Did you know the cover of the first boygenius EP (2018) is modeled after the cover of the 1969 self-titled CSN album? The boys are that open about the music that influences them. They also shot their Rolling Stone cover as a tribute to Nirvana. And the record (2023) was almost titled "In Rainbows" (they are Radiohead fans). Three is a magic number.

I remember when streaming services didn't even have a band name on the songs, they were just listed under all 3 of their names! Glad that's been corrected now, too.
