Phoebe Bridgers - I Know The End (SNL Performance)
#PhoebeBridgers #IKnowTheEnd #Punisher - เพลง
i just love how she’s smiling sweetly through the entire performance before she starts screaming
Hallelujah
ur early🤔
Jesus knows what's up
hi king
Jesus Christ, I'm so blue all the time...
you hear Chinese Satellite Mr. Christ?
Phoebe to her guitar: “The end is near”
The scream at the end is so liberating
i smile SO big every time
people were so upset that this song wasn't *angry* enough to warrant a guitar smash, not realizing that it's not supposed to be *angry* but *cathartic*
I love screaming along with her when I listen to the song. It is so stress revealing
I also find it empowering, brave and full of wonderment.
I love the whole thing, her smile throughout, the shred, the scream, and yes, the preplanned smash. The end is here, why the fuck not? Smile into oblivion.
I live in a house where expressing anger is seen as inappropriate. I’m always being watched, always monitored, always judged. Every lyric, I relate to. I like to listen to this song and imagine the screams at the end are my own, out of frustration. It’s very cathartic. Thank you for your song.
How did you survive to this? I'm living the same and it feels like dying inside
@@veronicagiannetti266 same here 😔
can relate to this so much, even expressing your feelings and emotions, sharing your thoughts and dreams, it's all seem as a weakness or a waste of time :(
You could look at it another way- at least you live in a house 🤔
Rebel against the system, create anarchy in your society
I wish I could listen to this song for the first time again
I am right now
I guess the end is here :)
same, the first time I heard it was in my car and it was raining so hard. it was an amazing experience
If u go out of your way to not listen to a song for months and listen to it again you can get the same feeling
I am, I shall give you the experience
Harrison's guitar solo is the unsung hero of this performance... on top of Phoebe headbutting him on the set
Can’t believe she screamed for a minute and didn’t get a Grammy smh
She doesn't need some institution to validate her talent, she has us.
Bestie the Grammys are a scam. As long as you get NOMINATED that's good enough
happy megan won though
THIS ONE
@@Cupofgo this.
My phone when I open Spotify: 0:02
this song makes me cry. it feels like you choose the bad ending in a story mode game
I love watching Phoebe’s facial expressions while she sings. For me, that’s the best part about watching her perform live. She’s amazing!
I refuse to believe that SNL having phoebe bridgers on the same show as dan levy isn't VERY deliberate-- they knew exactly the audience they were aiming for
The gay agenda is real and we LOVE to see it😁😁
@@thefreehealer792 oo
i was JUST thinking this
Are they both gay?
It’s almost as if they plan out the show ahead of time 😲
ms. bridgers offers a magnificent point: people blow up cars for action movies all the time and nobody gives a damn
Wow, I love her ribcage jewelry thing. Whatever you’d call it. It’s pretty awesome.
I haven't been this captivated by an artist is what feels like years. I could listen to her angelic voice forever.
ugh literally i can never get over this performance. i am so grateful that i got to witness a phoebe bridgers concert. her concerts are literally therapy on steroids, highly recommended y’all see her at some point!!!
This has got to be the best SNL performance in the decade
One of the best performances, Saint Vincent also did an incredible job!
I'd vote for Jack White in October 2020. Replaced Morgan Wallen on relatively short notice, no new material to promote, and tore it up. This Phoebe Bridgers performance is outstanding.
Nah, BTS was way better.
@@bernlin2000 No. just no
@@bernlin2000 pfft, laughing.
I feel like the audience had no fucking idea what brilliance was in front of them. Phoebe just knows how to be in it once the first note comes out of her mouth. And her band. Come THRU VIOLIN. Come thru all of them shit
lol wut
"the end is here" Phoebe Bridgers sings calmly.
The guitar destruction was perfect, I gasped. The sheer rawness of the screaming near the end of the song really meshes well with smashing the guitar on stage. It looks like she had a lot of fun doing it too lol.
I guess if it's the first time you've ever seen that
@@Mutantcy1992 it's the first time I've seen it done to this song, yeah, not the first time I've seen it on stage in general. I just really love this song and I think this was a nice touch to the performance. Let people enjoy things.
It was a pretty weak smash honestly. She didn't even put her back into it
When I saw this live for the first time I instantly thought of Kurt Cobain, and I just thought how fucking epic it was.
I had never heard of this artist till then and I was instantly intrigued.
It's refreshing to see the operatic songwriting and arrangements coming back into mainstream youth music. Where a song arrangement goes off the rails at times but in a good way.
Reminds me of Court of The crimson King..and many other British bands that did this..
an eclectic tapestry of instrumentation.. well done 👏.
You have yet another new fan.
Kurt? Lol
so we just not gonna talk about how flawlessly perfect that outfit is?
This song holds such a unique place in my heart. I’ve had to grapple with accepting that I have trauma. I used to go on drives to think and get away from my family, and on one of those drives this song came on as I turned around to go back home. I broke down sobbing and screamed along with her in the anxiety and frustration of going back home to the ones who gave me that trauma. It was therapeutic in a way. Thank you Phoebe.
smash me like that guitar bestie
Ma'am-
my favorite song of 2020
Best song, from best album, by best performer! I'm 74 and she's been blowing me away since "Stranger in the Alps" came out! Fuck the Grammies!
YES YES YES I'M SO HAPPY THIS IS BACK... everything about this from her outfit to the guitar smash is just *perfection*
I love how she angrily smashes the guitar and then proceeds to hug the back vocalist its adorable
still thinking about this performance 3 years later oh phoebe rock princess of the world
Idk why but I start tearing up every time she screams. I feel it deep down
It's been a long time since we've had a good, old fashioned guitar smashing.
This is the performance where I discovered Phoebe... here we are 3 years later and she's my favorite artist
I’ve never seen someone look so cute while smashing a guitar
Can you point me to the bit in the video where the guitar smashed?
her music, her outfit, her, it's all STUNNING.
the guitar smash that angered middle aged men across the globe #girlboss
Well, l loved. I am 41
@@AndresManosalvas don’t bother saying you’re an outlier. She’s one of those twitter tumblr women who lump everyone together and think it’s progressive.
I enjoyed the music. The guitar-smash ... well, it's all been done before enough times.
@@PortobelloDave literally nobody cares
Imagine saying girlboss
That's the most adorable guitar smash ever. I lover her so much.
I can't explain the way this song makes me feel, it's just ✨🦋
in the future, this performance will be iconic in pop culture
it already is
🤣🤣🤣🤣😄
Haha no
Probably not but it was okay
What performance in what pop culture?
People are mad about her smashing a guitar? But men like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain did this shit all the time and you loved it. Could it possibly just be the misogyny? I think it’s the misogyny.
🤣
@@noahdaugherty8413 dude, seriously? The only way you could ask the question “what world do you live in that you think men hate women so much” is if your head is in the sand and you refuse to acknowledge the many statistics, historical and current, that make it clear misogyny is a thing. I live in THIS world, dude. This one. But I’m not gonna bother explaining further bc I don’t feel like hearing one more dude invalidate those things or tell me “but men have problems too”. But just know that your comment is hilarious when there are places around the world where things aren’t as beautifully “equal” as you might have personally seen from your own myopic perspective.
@@noahdaugherty8413 you realize that misogyny is something that's rooted so deeply in our society that people don't even realize that they're misogynistic, right?
@@noahdaugherty8413 i don't quite understand your viewpoint.. what's the argument you're trying to make other than "ur stupid lol"
@@noahdaugherty8413 Noah, it's not as simple as you - or anyone else - is trying to make it out to be. I think we all know that, right?
i love how she’s clearly having the time of her life the whole time
I remember watching this live and the end being such a cathartic moment (especially after this messed up year we've all had)!
still the most beautiful song to listen to all the way through
what if i told you i feel like i know you? but we’ve never met.
It’s for the best
@@qtpants9045 I can’t open my mouth, and forget how to talk
What if we have met and just don't know it.
Probably still the best SNL musical performance
you're probably right sadly
Got huge Sufjan Stevens vibes from this particular version of "I Know The End".
Chicago.
Same horn progression
YESSS
oh she said in an interview that was her intention with this outro!
i thought cursive vibes
Makes me so happy when my favourite artists are fans of my other favourite artists
I love that she gave Danelectro heads-up that she was going to smash their guitar on SNL and they said "cool, and good luck - they're hard to smash!" ha!
Danelectro doesn't fuck around haha
That symbolism at the end where Mrs Phoebe on her knees adorned in the gilded age attire rocking out! Head banging like a champ! back and forth servicing her fellow lead guitarist letting him take the spotlight. It was savage
The colour necklaces reminds me 90'time. Brilliant, Awesome,Genius.
I adore your Band.
I’ll never get rid of this song like EVER
one of the few singers I know who doesn't belt out but can still enunciate words clearly hahahaha love you pheebs!
My mouth went open when she smashed the guitar and I thought she won't scream but she did and at the end I was like...“wow...that was sick. so sick.” love u forever phoebe.
the things i’d do to feel how i felt listening to this song for the first time
This is somehow very very beautiful. In a somehow sad, summer-ish way. She seems like a great artist!
Top notch performance, watched it that night. Heartbreaking song
i’m obsessed with this
Perfect last song on the album and legendary performance! My high expectations were not let down!
Phoebe's scream reiki's my soul.
Great song and strong performance. Bet that SNL was like “Please use the monitor Phoebe don’t fuck up our floors”
I’m so grateful to see someone with a soul sending out their love into the current night of humanity we’re living in. Something vital shines from behind the colossal mountains of the living dead, a legion of virtual people, mostly dickheads.
A woman sings the end is here as she smiles sweetly, then proceeds to scream her lungs out and smash her guitar. If this doesn't capture the mask we put on in these times of uncertainty, with the way we feel when we get home I don't know what does.
This is not a single this is one of the song from her masterpiece
The only reason to be mad about someone smashing a guitar is if they don't do it properly but honestly she really went for it. 11/10 will watch again
The only reason to be mad about someone smashing a guitar is if it's unearned. There is no way to smash a guitar improperly if it is earned and genuine.
She went for it.......with timid reservation and pyrotechnics. Song was dope tho.
literally my favourite snl performance
I will definitely remember this forever! one of the most incredible and best tv performance. my favorite as well. Phoebe, you’re the best!
that one dislike is from the guitar
there's 2 now and the other is from the missing verse
💀💀💀
There's 90 now-
😂😂😂😂
i still don't get why people got so mad at her smashing the guitar as if people haven't been doing it since forever
Because it came from a time when smashing the guitar was a statement, but nowadays people just do it for shock and attention.
lmfao it was a tribute to an Elliot Smith performance and even if it wasn't can you please tell me whats that supposed statement that people made back then that Phoebe can't do now???'
@@rebe6132 watch some videos of the who and maybe it'll be clear. there is a sense of it being unearned here.
@@Mutantcy1992 hahshsh i've seen plenty and i still can't see your point. is it because she's a woman? is that it? are you misogynistic??
2:57 sufjan Stevens influence ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Somewhere in Germany, but I can't place it
Man, I hate this part of Texas
Close my eyes, fantasize
Three clicks and I'm home
When I get back I'll lay around
Then I'll get up and lay back down
Romanticize a quiet life
There's no place like my room
But you had to go
I know, I know, I know
Like a wave that crashed and melted on the shore
Not even the burnouts are out here anymore
And you had to go
I know, I know, I know
Out in the park, we watch the sunset
Talking on a rusty swing set
After a while you went quiet and I got mean
I'm always pushing you away from me
But you come back with gravity
And when I call, you come home
A bird in your teeth
So I gotta go
I know, I know, I know
When the sirens sound, you'll hide under the floor
But I'm not gonna go down with my hometown in a tornado
I'm gonna chase it
I know, I know, I know
I gotta go now
I know, I know, I know
Driving out into the sun
Let the ultraviolet cover me up
Went looking for a creation myth
Ended up with a pair of cracked lips
Windows down, scream along
To some America First rap, country song
A slaughterhouse, an outlet mall
Slot machines, fear of God
Windows down, heater on
Big bolts of lightning hanging low
Over the coast, everyone's convinced
It's a government drone or an alien spaceship
Either way, we're not alone
I'll find a new place to be from
A haunted house with a picket fence
To float around and ghost my friends
No, I'm not afraid to disappear
The billboard said, "The end is near"
I turned around, there was nothing there
Yeah, I guess the end is here
The end is here
The end is here
The end is here
The end is here
SNL NEEDS TO TURN UP VOLUME FOR TH-cam, I NEED LOOOURDERRR
david crosby just pissed the floor right now
now i realized the way she's been smiling through the whole performance is to indicate the ending smashing scene :") she's so cute
4:18 the most iconic moment
reading someone characterizing that as iconic makes me feel soooo ooooold

What a powerful performance. Had me misty eyed.
God I love this performance
Phoebe we all know life is tough and your music reflects angst, hardships and longing but every once in while please play us happy song.❤
Smashing!
this exactly describes how I feel since the pandemic & I can't believe she could describe it in 4 minutes and 57 secs
YES ITS FINALLY UPLOADED
The scream is so good.
screaming as loud as i could to this song live was a core memory
guess im back to watching this on repeat again
You could see happiness in their eyes
This truly is one of the best SNL performances I’ve ever seen
What a queen.
Inside each one of us is a spooooky skeleton just waiting to come out
your music is so beautiful, it captures the repetitive and melancholy feel life often has, even though it honestly used to make me feel very unmotivated and depressed, but i kinda found a new view in it. When i was at a low, it caused me to go back to my Faith. I was raised Christian but i never rlly knew what it meant, and over time i just grew distant, but as tough seasons in my life have caused me to draw near to Jesus, i think i’ve finally started to understand my Faith as more than just a Sunday thing, a habit and routine, but i’ve come to see that it was never about religion, but relationship, in my relationship with Jesus, i’ve felt restored, grateful and loved, It was the fact that He loved and died for us, that caused me to see the world differently, through His eyes. Now as i look at the world around me i feel gratitude for the things that would often go unnoticed to me, all the beauty out there in nature, the beautiful moments of love between humanity, the community and bond over all creation, I see God’s hand in everything, and it’s made life so much more colorful for me. God bless ✝️🫶
my fav song omg
Imagine being so utterly beautiful that you're Phoebe Bridgers.
i fucking love the screaming so much,, like i have no words
watching middle aged men get mad about this just proves what a goddess she is......there's nothing men fear more than strong women
Lol xD
men did the guitar smash a thousands times and a thousand times better.
I'd rather see Tash Sultana, somebody with real talent
If she's so strong, why did she fail to smash the guitar?
@@bigstar66 cause it’s a guitar not a chopstick you silly billy!!’
I love you and you make me cry
I love you forever Phoebe.
my comfort video is back thank you phoebe
Ok, did not expect the guitar smashing, but it was a nice touch.
Can’t wait to play this with you my friend 7/19 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
That was so good. Incredibly cathartic and iconic.
how do i tag david crosby so he can watch this again?
This is the best live performance I’ve seen in my life
That guitar was made of vibranium wtf
Love the pearl ribcage. Phoebe looks like she was having a blast. 10/10 would watch again.
absolute fucking gem
