I haven’t seen any foreign tourists in Nha Trang yet but there are some domestic tourists.I’ve a few friends coming back in a couple of weeks . One went to Nepal for 10 days 27 months ago and has been stuck there ever since . The other went to the UK to re rent his property and has been stuck there for about 28 months . His baby daughter was 10 months old when he left . Opening slowly, we are desperate for tourists but I can’t see it getting back to normal this year .

      Thanks. My main camera is this now 2 year old Phone: th-cam.com/video/AxZojlP1nSs/w-d-xo.html
      For the bike I use a cheapo Go 2 action cam. I don't have mics, just use the builtin sound. For editing I switched from a 15" MacbookPro 16 GB, to a 13" Macbook Air M1 which is twice as fast and super light. Budget: I normally stay in places under or close to 1000 baht/$30 and spend around 500 baht/$15 day. I sometimes bump that up a bit so just call it 1500-2000 Baht/ $50-$60 day or $1500-$2000 month. Everyone's budget will vary of course but that's mine & hope it helps. STL

      Agree, the quiet second beach is a real gem. Origin? I worked at a H.O. in Vancouver and made the 'mistake' of coming to visit SE Asia after my Father headed an engineering project here. • @SideTripLife
      @SideTripLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ironically, if/when Thailand eventually does raise standards to match expectations, of course prices will have to rise too and many of the complainers will then be priced out of Thailand. Then they'll be off to live/visit and endlessly complain in the next 'sub-standard' but cheaper country lol.

      Lol. Actually, often forget to remove the key but fortunately this is Thailand so chances are no one is going to nick your bike (unlike in the West;)

      Hi Olle. Good point thanks. However, this was still prior to tourism being fully reopened and those girls had zero customers so thought I'd give a tip. Once all the tourists return I'll be back to bargaining, I promise ;) STL

    R U kidding me? 100B tip for 40B gas? !!! Wait, do people even tip at gas stations? 100 B is like 1 hour massage in some places in Bangkok.
    Enjoy the rest of the clip though

      Lol. I do get that tho, back home of course you don't tip at a gas station. But in this case the gas/massage place had zero customers that day so I tipped on a whim. Also the guy at the next beach had no customers and I also tipped him. Also a few more random off camera tips. Biz is still hit n miss around the Island so I'm a bit more generous if I see a place struggling. But in other areas where it's busier (like Fisherman's Village or Bangrak) I just tip normally after a meal etc. However, once it's busier everywhere again, I'll be bargaining once again for rides, at shops etc like before (but still tipping extra for great food/service etc;) Cheers

    The video was ok, but then I saw that so called hamburger... Is it cheese on top of the bread? Disbusting! And how to eat it? Not with your hands for sure...

    • @SideTripLife
      @SideTripLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ...any burger, with hands preferably while listening to Cheeseburger In Paradise by Jimmy Buffet lol. Edit to add: that was a 'Swiss' burger avec Fromage à raclette apparently (their regular burgers are 'normal'/cheese inside;)
