Typhoon Goni also known as Rolly (in our country) was first landfall in our province (Catanduanes) around 5 o'clock in the morning. In my 20 years of existence and living in this area that is the first time I'd experienced such tremendous typhoon. I still remember the day that we cried and prayed in the corner hoping for miracle to happen not to let us kill by the storm surge that time. It's traumatic because I'm in the life and death situation and I'm incapable to help myself at that moment when the wind and surge was starting to enter in our house. Everyone was crying and scared because we were hopeless if the storm surge continue to enter. We continue praying as for God to have miracle and save us and thank God he heard our prayers because that time was the time where low tide was about to come.
I hope you will be doing good now. As there is another storm coming, bw careful. Evwn though its not going to hit your province which is Catanduanes, I wish you help from God.

Could there be the Philippine names next time, maybe in parentheses like Vongfong (Ambo), for the Philippine viewers? Wouldn't count out Vamco/Ulysses and its notoriety and impacts in 2020. Its size was much larger than Goni allowing it to cause very substantial damages, and it broke a maximum potential intensity value. While not reaching the same extreme peak as Goni, it was still a major storm nonetheless

Phillipines is Goni
I'm so excited for this, even if I had a version of it.
FUN FACT:
Goni was contributed by Bulgaria and means "chase" like a typhoon slamming into land
FALSE.
GONI is a name contributed by South Korea, named after the local word 고니, which means "swan".
Bulgaria isn't a part of Westpac

its maybe 915 or 917 in wiki, thats def a cat 5 pressure
Yes
My analysis was 160 mph 909 mn
That kind of pressure isn’t unusual for a Typhoon.
Land observations, as well as microwave imagery only supports 915 mbar pressure and Category 4 winds

205mph(335kph) 881hpa.
@@SAGE0536AGN he said, MAYBE
Possibly at initial peak because second did not look as intense, and I also estimate Haiyan at 205
And Goni's second peak intensity maybe has 200mph(325kph),883hpa
First peak intensity maybe analyzed from the SMAP satellite's scanning results.
This is kinda odd but why does the JMA have Goni at 905mb, and FMS has Yasa at 899mb?

Could there be the Philippine names next time, maybe in parentheses like Vongfong (Ambo), for the Philippine viewers? International names are not that much given attention here and news reports and weather forecasts always name them by their Philippine names.
Edit: For those who need some reference
Ambo (Vongfong), Butchoy (Nuri), Carina (didn't show up in the video), Dindo (Hagupit), Enteng (Jangmi), Ferdie (Mekkhala), Gener (06W), Helen (Higos), Igme (Bavi), Julian (Maysak), Kristine (Haishen), Leon (Noul), Marce (Dolphin), Nika (Nangka), Ofel (not in the video), Pepito (Saudel), Quinta (Molave), Rolly (Goni), Siony (Atsani), Tonyo (Etau), Vamco (Ulysses), Vicky (Krovanh)

Ulysses : *BUT I'M STILL STRONGER*
Wouldn't count out Vamco/Ulysses and its notoriety and impacts in 2020. Its size was much larger than Goni allowing it to cause very substantial damages, and it broke a maximum potential intensity value. While not reaching the same extreme peak as Goni, it was still a major storm nonetheless

@@Miso_Lemon why?
There are 8 tropical cyclone that Enters and forms inside the PAR and 6 of them hit the Philippines in less than a month!
I think Goni is more memorable than Hasihen because in landfall terms Haishen was just a Category 4, while Goni was a category 6 equivalent.
Category 6? Are you sure?
I feel like Category 5 isn't enough.
Here is what I think:
1: 74 - 95
2: 96 - 110
3: 111 - 129
4: 130 - 156
5: 157 - 183
6: 184 - 206
7: 207 & over
Also I think the SSHWS should add a "Severe Tropical Storm" category for storms ranging from 60 mph to 73 mph.
@@PoipoleMujigae I would agree with a cat 6 or 7 such a giant gap with Patricas intensity of 215 mph and lets say this years Hinnamnor of 160 there should be a higher catagory inbetween the 55 mph diffrence there should at least be a cat 6 at 185 maybe not so much a cat 7 I would draw the line at 210 or 215 and a severe tropical stotm catagory would be interesting and maybe included there is also a gap in between lets say this years Colin and Alex of 40 and 70 but it is only 30 and 15 mph incraments I feel are too maticulas but there is the Cat 3 intesity of this years Bonnie at 115 and last years Larry at 125 which is a 10 mph gap so maybe maybe not
