    I love your approach to teaching. You don’t rush into the more complicated stuff, which give all of us noobs a chance to get the hang of things. I really enjoy your lessons. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

    I had to return a double pedal I was borrowing to see if I liked it and to see if I could perhaps do it. I like it and I think with practice I could produce some music with them. I looked up some priceing online. Not cheap. While I'm saving money, I'm practicing using my hat's pedal with a small towel on the top cymbal to dampen it a bit.

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good idea! I practiced the same way when I was younger before I got my double pedals.
      I'd suggest you try to buy double pedals secondhand. Go to eBay or any other second-hand auction site/webshop and look for one there. Most major drum companies make great budget-friendly double pedals, so you don't necessarily need to invest in the brand's most expensive pedals.

  • @freelancingme3922
    @freelancingme3922 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very informative lesson, the thing is I still don't have double pedals :( too expensive here. hope you have double pedal giveaways man. Anyways, more power and thanks, your lessons really are helpful!

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha well, I'm not in any position at the moment to be able to host a double pedal-giveaway 😅
      I'd suggest you try to find double pedals second-hand! Usually you can find pretty cheap gear that way, so maybe visit eBay or any other second hand-website where you live? :)

    CJ, is there an optimal spring tension for double base pedals, or is it all over the place and pure preference? Thanks for all you do. 😎

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all about personal preference! You can definitely experiment with it by playing with a very tight tension to practice strenght, and a very loose tension for practicing precision!😃

  • @patrikknoerr9777
    @patrikknoerr9777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Interestingly, I tried the same method for my single-kick problems. Starting at 60bpm. And yes, 16ths are easier than triplets. Slowly, it gets better. This means I fail at 70 bpm. Miserably :)

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't rush progress! Take it slow for as long as you need, and then just up the tempo about 2 bpm at a time or something.
      You can do this! 😃

    Perfect intro .. you are so good in teaching 🙏. also try table of time, maybe up to sextuplets. That will keep you busy for a while. Thrn work up to 7s and 8s 👍
