Double take, we live just round the corner. Have loved your videos and ordered our first Cali, due end of April. Congrats on pronunciation of Bosham 😆👍 Thanks for all info.
Thanks Will, Sarah and Roxy for another lovely video. The campsite looks amazing and would be a real treat, especially the Emperor Pitch, what a great idea if camping with a large group of friends. Bosham and East Wiitering are wonderful places, such a shame the tide was high, there is a great walk around Bosham harbour and on the beach at East Wittering. The craft unit is brilliant too. We look forward to spending more time there this summer. Can't wait to hear your news regarding your choice of new Campervan and love your new name for the channel, looking forward to seeing your new branding. Have a great week, cheers.😀
I hope you enjoy, it looks fab. Do you know if you can put 2 small vans, ie Cali's, on an Emperor pitch, and use the one Safari Tent between both vans?
Don't know about 2 vans on one pitch, but when we were there and talking to them about the pitches they said it was quite common for people to book a normal pitch and an emperor pitch so friends saying together could share the tent etc. Give them a ring and see!
We have stayed there in the past. Really impressed. We ended up walking to Bosham with the dog. Really nice pub lunch at The Anchor Bleu. Also, we did a dog walk to the nearest pub but it was shut as they had gone skiing for a couple of weeks. So we then trudged on to the next pub in Funtington. Chichester is nice and West Wittering is big enough for everyone, even in the summer. Great big field to park on and spend the day. Just make sure you book a car space, especially if the weather is good. I only realised after we had been, about the red and green means go lights!😂
I was missing the three of you terribly so it's wonderful to have you back! Jealous? Moi? You bet! What a super place. I couldn't fault it or the surrounding areas. They seem to have thought of everything. It looks and sounds like one of the best sites I've seen and been made aware of. Thank you for taking the time to produce such a comprehensive"tour". Have I missed a video?. I'm nicely confused. Is this Crafter in place of the California t6.1... or have you borrowed it for the duration? If it's YOURS, enjoy it to bits! Apart from the bump on its head, I think they look and sound really nice. Take care. Be as naughty as you can and enjoy Life and have fun. All best wishes, much love, Pam xx
No you haven't missed a video - this is the site we went to try out the VW Grand California 600 that the VW Press team very kindly lent us back in January. We did our video reviews of the van back then, but no, this isn't our van... We'll be revealing our plans soon!
You’re right this site is amazing - the only slight negative for me was the road noise but maybe we were just unlucky with the way the wind was blowing!
Kelling Heath in Norfolk is a massive campsite in comparison covering an area similar to a centre parks site. However it has facilities of a similar standard except the showers which are not quite as good as those. The rest is up to par or better it has a cycle hire, pub and restaurant, health club with swimming pool indoor and outdoor, pop up food selections through summer and it’s own railway station on a steam line. It really is a fantastic site we have been there a dozen times as it also holds astronomy star parties.
Yes, it might be a nice looking site and the facilities are 'hotel worthy' however that's reflected in their prices which go stratospheric in the summer. The washroom facilities are very posh however that doesn't stop there being queues at busy times, and the motion sensor lights go out too quickly! No doubt your advertorial video will secure you a discount next time around 😉
Hi! Yes it's expensive but we loved it. We paid full price, no discounts and no discounts have been offered to us either - it's just our genuine view on a great site! If they do want to offer us a discount however... !!
We’re staying here in April on one of the Emperor pitches. We should fit the cali on there 😂. We’ve bought a new awning so probably a good opportunity to test it out and practice putting it up. We’re staying midweek and it is £85 a night but looks well worth it. Delighted to see they have a bar on site! What beers do they do?
Ha! You're trying to catch us out now to get us to reveal what we've decided early!! In all honesty, they are just quite different. The Ocean can be a car replacement and driven daily if you need to. The Grand not so much but is arguably easier to live in when camping, but is a metre longer so can't park in every space.
@@CampervanTime But does the California not also have „more“ living space because of the big space between front and back seats? Also the hight is important nowadays. And driving to travel between spots. Of course the Grand California has more (hot) water und more storage space but I am not sure if that outweighs the disadvantages of length, hight and being a truck rather than a car. Difficult choice. 😅☺️
Again I think it depends. For two people the Grand was just fine and having a bit more space so one can cook and the other can lounge and not be in the way, we liked it. The Cali centre space is a nice 1m square though so is good for being universal. In terms of height, yes if you want to sneak into car parks etc it’s helpful being 2.04 / 1.99m only. The 600 Grand is very high. The fixed bed at the back of the bigger vans is nice though and no worries about wind and rain being a problem with a pop top. Driving wise, we both thought the Grand/Crafter drove just as nice as the Cali, maybe even a bit nicer in some respects. Doesn’t feel like a truck at all!
Is it me or does the van look ugly. I think it’s that bulbous front. Looks like one of those whale creatures. I’d love to see a top end crafter style van with a pop top for sleeping 4 and a garage. I’d definitely buy one 😊
So glad we found your video, we're headed there this weekend. Even more excited now!! Fantastic video, thanks guys!
We really hope you enjoy it, we loved it!
Lovely looking site 😊👍
Terrific review , amazing looking site...would definitely stay for a couple of nights...looks well worth it 👍
It really is!

Awesome! Thank you!
Would be lovely to have a sofa/easy seating in those posh tents for chilling and watching the TV.
Agreed!
great review will, nice to get a great recommendation and an in depth review❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Phenomenal, way too posh for us though!
We’d be asked to leave with our crazy dog 😂

Looks fantastic.. just booked an Emperor pitch for 2 nights!
Good work!!

Wow what an amazing site! Basically a hotel with pitches instead of rooms 👌🏼
Yep!!
Chalet great idea, but surprised it doesn't incorporate a private loo and shower.

We didn't hear it at all when we were there - maybe the wind like you say?
Nice. Shame this weekend is the only one free until September.
Wow this looks amazing ..what is name of site and where is it please?😊

Oooo you're testing our memories now.. Didn't have a bitter but lager was Madri I think.. Whatever it was, it was cold and went down very easily 🤪
Next time you’re down you’ll have to pootle across to Arundel. That’s where we live and some great places to visit and for food and drink.
Would be nice for a celebration otherwise too expensive for us im afraid.xx very nice mind.xx
Great to see you again.
Have you changed the name of your channel?
Yes we have! Getting ready for the next chapter in our van adventures... We'll be revealing our plans v soon!
@@CampervanTime Well done, can't wait. I'm really looking forward to seeing this. It's a whole new you!😎
Only £29 for b&b at travelodge just saying 😏
But if your not a Caravaner you wouldn't appreciate it just saying!!
Have you booked a Travelodge lately? 2 rooms in Gloucester on a Friday night £250, without breakfast.
If you could now freely choose between a California Ocean and a Grand California, which would you choose AND WHY? 😊

Changing the name a red herring?😮
What happened to the channel name? VW issues?🤔🤔🤔

Yes I do think there is a real market for that!!
Does this not defeat the whole object of "vanning " ? Absolute tripe. Ya might as well get a "chalet".
🤣
Overpriced. Not a chance .
